Hey I really like Sega so no complaint from me but out of curiosity does this site now include news on Sega as well as Nintendo? My apologies if this has been asked 100 times before.

Not that I care in the slightest and there may be many reasons for it, but those graphics are certainly worse than the E3 version.

That was an incredibly bad video. Please try to make your videos a bit more succinct with informative content. All you did was ramble on about how you think Mario 64 is great. How about go through what controllers are compatible, what control schemes you think work well, boot times, any additional features or lack of etc.
You started off the video by saying there is nothing else you can say that we havn't already heard and then proceeded to rant on for 4mins about exactly that.

I find it interesting how Nintendo Life pick and choose which exploits they want to subtly endorse. This exploit has the same negative principles as any other exploit yet for some reason we hail this as fun? ok? harmless?
I would absolutely love an exploit which allowed me to run ROMS. Why? that's my business.

@rjejr I deleted half my comment because even now Im not a believer. There will most certainly be an app, but I dont think its going to be running anything other than mobile games. Nintendo is not going to have its "Console games" run off the cloud or be downloaded into the app and depend on the power of the persons smart device. Hmm now im stumped as to what NX could be... I know I bragged about the entire Q&A thing but now I cant remember if it was stated if NX is hardware or not.

@rjejr Yea, true that. Apple will definitely not allow for it. In terms of cloud, I dont think nintendo will be all digital next gen (although it will be a heavy push). But yea, we can throw my idea out the window.

@rjejr After listening to the entire Q&A im pretty certain that these Mobile games will not be playable on Nintendo's other consoles. So the idea of playing on 3ds and then conitnuing on smratphone is not something i expect. Unless the smartphone game is a minigame tie-in.

My inital guess is that the NX will be a device that can plug into whatever smartdevice you have. i.e. its a console without a screen. You plug your cartridge into the NX and play on whatever screen you want. These same cartridges will work on nintendo's dedicated handheld also.
I could see nintendo having 3 products: 1. Home console with tablet. 2. the tablet is also fully independent (acts as a handheld with cartridge slot). 3 NX which is console without screen.

Gaming prices don't seem to worry me as much when im lying on the beach with an ice cold caipirinha

Umm.. multiple smartphone apps offer offline translation. Google translate (you know, the best translation service in the world) being one of them. I can only see this being useful if you don't have access to a smartphone.

It actually appears that the Mario Kart bundle comes with New Super Mario Bros U rather than 3D world. Read the description and the product details.

@ULTRA-64 You should definitely re-visit it. As I said, i'm currently playing through it again and its just as great as it was back then.

Here is the cheat to access the secret level that would be unlocked upon 100% (if it was possible):

"To access the level, you have to quickly enter in a code on either the file select screen of the game, or the level select screen. This code is: Down, Up, Z, L, Down, Left, Z, Down. When you enter it in correctly, you will hear a chime noise. To access the level, move one space to the left on the level select screen."

Im currently playing through this again. Absolutely one of my favourite games of all time. So much fun, so much variety, and the puzzle elements are the right kind of difficult (bar some awkward platforming haha).

For all those people who never finished the game because of the glitch, I hope you used cheat codes to get the last gold idol because it unlocks a very fun mini game.

BTW Fantasy Zone is one of my all time favourite games. No question I would buy this day one.

This is far more of a third-person game, so I don't understand why it was repeatedly referred to as a FPS.

Im going to keep it in my radar. At this stage I really think it could go either way.

Can I be a little negative and say that it was quite boring? The same front flip animation everytime someone gets hit. I was expecting more variation in facial expressions and crashes. The main reason it looks great is because of the lighting effects, nothing else is really impressive. Still, doesnt change my hype for the game one bit.

@BillyCupid What Nintendo has going for them is the ability to make things fun. Making games fun is just one example of this skill.

@ToastyYogurt although most Wii U ports from PS/Xbox have been inferior, thats not what I was meaning. Renegade Kid are primarily a 3/DS developer and a few of there games have been ported to Wii U.

Has Renegade Kid made a Wii U game before that wasnt a port? I cant imagine this is going to look very pretty.

@10000mario none of these games are in HD either so how about in 2013 Nintendo doesn't add HD also. You are completely missing the point. People don't want online MP so Nintendo has the best selling games of 2013/14 they just want online so they can play with friends all over the world. And in 2013 its not a huge ask! Just like HD isnt a huge ask.. its the norm!

@Einherjar Even the simplest games have online MP in 2013. Let us play when and with who we want like all Nintendos competitors do. Simple, not rocket science, no need for life coaching.

@linkstrikesback Exactly. Im currently working overseas away from my friends and family and would love nothing more than to be able to play this mario game online with them. I love local MP but its just not a reality for a lot of people. The world is becoming more and more globalized with people traveling and living abroad yet Nintendo are stuck in the 90s with Region blocks and no online MP. If seeing their face is so important how about video chat on the gamepad while the game is on the big screen? Thats just one solution for this problem that doesnt exist. Nintendo are forcing me to look to their competitors for this service. Incredibly frustrating times for a Nintendo fan.

I would imagine the difference is that this black 3ds does not have a different shade of black for each layer like the cosmo black. Also the black wont fade from light to dark on the top cover as has been previously mentioned in the comments

Im sure I read that crytek are soon going to become a publisher. Not only for their own games but a general publisher. This overhall of their engine and support service is all part of that.

That means that if crytek truly are fans of nintendo then we should see not only crytek developed games but also crytek published games.

Of course they will not continually make poor business decisions so ultimately sales will decide
