INCOMING LONG MESSAGE!

Firstly, I agree completely with the 8/10 Dave (great name).

One issue I have with this game though is that although they give you a massive wealth of options to use none feel absolutely perfect. I'll elaborate below...

SCREEN/CABINET: you are pretty much forced to play in none-moving cabinet mode and in 1:1 pixel mode to have any chance of a high score as literally every pixel counts in this game and having the pixels become distorted and disappearing entirely as the cabinet moves ruins any chance of a good score. The screen options are fantastic fun but probably would have suited a HD version better.

CONTROLS: the default 'type 1 circle pad' (circle pad centre = reticle centre) controls are really twitchy and the 'type 2 circle pad' (circle pad centre = no movement of reticle) controls feel too slow so manoeuvring never feels truly comfortable. I default to the 'type 2 circle pad' for control but the most accurate would probably be the 'type 1 touch' although using the touch screen can become tiring very quickly. I find myself always switching between the controls but find none of them satisfying.

Apart from these issues the game is obviously great, the 3D is fantastic although can feel pretty overwhelming at times, the music and sound options are amazing and the gameplay in spite of the controls is still rather good.

Up there with Super Hand-On as my current favourite 3D classic.

Hope they use the top screen more and fingers crossed even some 3D (who'd have thought!?)

I hear this game is incredibly similar to the first game which puts me off a little... I don't want to play the game if the only difference is the story.

I HATE HATE HATE that they don't allow multiplayer on these games, it is ridiculous. Nintendo, surely it can be implemnted... surely! Grrrr...

Wow now this is great! Finally going to pick up some games that just seemed a little too pricey for me.

Top of my list are Liberation Maiden, The Starship Damrey and Crimson Shroud.

I got Another Earth, was expecting a more drastic update to the game but for that price it is a good deal.

Is this it for Christmas?? Will there be another eShop download on Christmas day?

What's with the Master System games at the end??

If I could make a box set of 6 for the west I'd put in After Burner 2, OutRun 2, Space Harrier, Streets of Rage, Super Hang-On and Sonic.

Gotta get me that Angry Birds Trilogy download, at 30 quid it's a right bargain.

Why are Shantae games so much more expensive??

This is easily the best Detune product so far, one of my favourite things about it is that there isn't really a limit on the amount of songs you can save (before it was only around 20 and now its over 2000!)

I've sunk around 18 hours into it already.

@FritzFrapp agree on the free ones being pretty 'lame', it wouldn't be so lame if you could choose the colour for folders independently and if they gave us green as an option

Persona Q is easily my top pick but NES Remix is a close 2nd.

Third would have been Shuvle Knight.

I've lost faith in Sonic but if it gets good reviews I may check out that... haven't played a Shantae game before so may download the first two before this one.

Here are my initial thoughts...

Cool! Themes! Let's have a look... hmm... no default green option, that's a shame...

Let's have a look at the downloadable ones, hmm... that Zelda one looks nice, let's watch a Youtube video of it... ugh! The way they've stitched the ends of the image together with that blur is super ugly, love the icons though.

How about the jumping Mario one... boring, would rather wait for a theme that really grabs my attention.

Wonder if they'll include theme codes with boxed games, that would be great!

Let's check out the eShop... not much new here and they still haven't improved the Watchlist! Wish I could re-arrange my list and have sub folders for it... maybe next time.

Nothing again from me, just as well, means I can put more hours into DSN-12 (loving it so far, no problems)

I had this pre-ordered but after playing the demo I cancelled my pre-order, the controls just didn't feel right at all to me. If anyone knows what control options there are that would be great.

I didn't like the feel of doing attacks with the circle pad, it was fine on the GC pad as it has that octagonal outer which really helped but doing attacks with the circle pad just feels slippery and not precise at all, I'd prefer D-Pad and a separate button for smash attacks (so that's one for regular, one for special and one for smash), that would feel cramped I imagine though... hmm...

@benjamines I find Code of Princess to be just 'okay'. It's repetitive, has terrible slow down on most stages and the stages are all incredibly short and linear.

@Jazzer94 Honestly doubt that will ever happen, the cheapest we've ever got Code of Princess appears to be £17... we can all dream.

Ooo! These look rather lovely, always been tempted by the 2DS line and that blue one is amazing... still that's money I should really save for a 'NEW' 3DS XL really isn't it?

Unless they price the games lower than the eShop (which I would imagine is highly unlikely) I don't see why anyone would do this. Those cards they have at the moment at least make sense as a present for someone but a receipt with a code... pfft!

@edhe Korg DSN-12 emulates MS10 and 20 analog synths with the added bells and whistles of a sequencer and some effects. The M01 which I think you are referring to is emulation of the M1 which is a digital synth (hence the sample sounds and workstation interface)... I found the M01 to be a little stale but that's the nature of workstations I guess.

DSN-12 is almost like a powered up version of DS-10 which released on the DS back in 2008. I have loved my original DS-10 since it was released and so would highly recommend DSN-12... It appears to be 12x as powerful which boggles the mind.

Easily DSN-12 for me, loved DS-10 and this literally looks like 12 DS-10's bolted on to each other, amazing stuff for sure and well worth £25.
