Re: Mario & Sonic London Olympics Sprints to 2m Sales

WolfRamHeart

I agree with @TheBadGuy that Sega should have put Generations on the Wii. It definitely would have generated more sales of that title especially considering how well Mario & Sonic London Olympics Games did. The demand for Sonic is still there amongst Nintendo fans so I think Wii U will be a great platform for Sega's future games.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd February 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

@theblackdragon: It really is odd. I saw five people on my friends list playing it today with no problems. I honestly thought that it was my system until I contacted Nintendo and they confirmed the issue. The good thing is that they are aware of the problem and are working to fix it. I hope that you download a good working copy of the game. Good luck.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd February 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

Is anyone else experiencing problems with Sakura Samurai not working? I can't get it to boot up past the loading screen. I called Nintendo Customer Service and was told they are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it. It is supposedly an isolated issue so if you managed to purchase it and are playing it then you are one of the lucky ones. Darn my luck.

Re: Review: CRUSH3D (3DS)

WolfRamHeart

@KeeperBvk: From the reviews that I have read it sounds like there really isn't any new content added to the 3DS version of the game. It is basically a visually enhanced port of the original game on the PSP with some additional SteetPass features. If you played the original then you probably won't find much to warrant another purchase. If you are interested in getting it you can pick it up at Amazon for $34.99. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/Crush-3D-Nintendo-3DS/dp/B0050GGKPS/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1327880199&sr=1-1

Re: Review: 3DS Circle Pad Pro

WolfRamHeart

Help me Circle Pad Pro, you're my only hope!

Great review Damien. Very entertaining and informative read. I agree that the CPP is ugly as heck but it does sound like it would be beneficial on certain games. I want to try it out on Resident Evil Revelations and Metal Gear Solid 3. If Monster Hunter does end up making it to the US then buying this thing will definitely be worth it to me.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Revelations (3DS)

WolfRamHeart

Great review Thomas. After playing the demo I had pretty much made up my mind that I was going to get this game but your review makes this a day-one purchase for me. Even better that Capcom just reduced the price of the game by $10 for folks here in the US.

Re: Nintendo Considering Retail Downloads on 3DS and Wii U

WolfRamHeart

Personally, I prefer physical copies over digital ones. If Nintendo does decide to do this then I hope that the Wii U includes a good sized hard drive. Cloud-based storage would also be a great option if they decided to go that route. Another thing Nintendo needs to do with it's digital releases is have sales like Microsoft and Sony do on their XBL Marketplace/PSN Store.

Re: Review: CRUSH3D (3DS)

WolfRamHeart

I just love how that kid's creepy eyes greeted me when I logged into Nintendo Life today.

Nice review James. I never got to play the original game on the PSP but I am interested in trying this one out. I'll probably pick it up when it comes out here. It sounds like fun.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Considering Alternative Names for Wii U

WolfRamHeart

Please let this rumor be true. I am used to the name Wii U but I still don't like it. My personal preferences aside, I think that naming the new console Wii U is a bad idea. Diehard Nintendo fans will know what this new system is but regular everyday consumers will likely be confused by the similarity of the name and think that it is just an add-on or expansion to the current Wii. Nintendo should start fresh and rename their console to show gamers and casual customers alike that this is in fact a new next generation console. They can't afford to repeat the mistakes they made with the 3DS launch.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th January 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

Pretty mediocre update. Resident Evil demo was cool but I wasn't blown away by it. I'm hoping that the full game will be better. I'm interested in Stonekeep but I think that I will wait for the review on that one. I might pick up Lock 'n' Chase but other than that nothing else particularly interests me here. I guess that I will be saving my money in hopes that next week's update will be better.

Re: Review: Gaia's Moon (DSiWare)

WolfRamHeart

I remember seeing the video for this on the eShop and thought that it looked pretty interesting. At only 200 points I am willing to give it a try. Thanks for your review Patrick.

Re: 3DS Demos Launch in Europe eShop Tomorrow

WolfRamHeart

I'd definitely welcome that Resident Evil demo and I'm looking forward to trying out those other ones.

Since SEGA is contributing to the demo program, I hope that they will release a demo for their upcoming game Crush 3D as I am on the fence about getting it.

Re: Review: Trip World (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)

WolfRamHeart

Shame to hear about the game being so short and the lack of difficulty. I would still like to see it come out here in the US. I will pick it up if it does come here to show my appreciation of lesser-known niche games on the eShop.

I would rather have Mr. Gimmick but I seriously doubt that will ever see the light of day on the VC.

Re: Nintendo Download: 12th January 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

I already have Zen Pinball on my PS3 and Xbox 360 but I still picked this up for my 3DS today. I was extremely impressed with the 3DS version. The tables are excellent and the 3D effects look incredible. A very high quality title and totally worth the price. Even if you don't care about pinball this game may change your mind. I recommend giving it a try.

Re: Nintendo Download: 5th January 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

Not much to get excited about here but in fairness both PSN and XBLA had very dull offerings this week as well. Don't feel too bad guys, next week should be better. I'm looking forward to Zen Pinball, Mutant Mudds, Kid Icarus 3D Classic and hopefully Trip World. Assuming that NA will get Kid Icarus 3D Classic. I don't see why we wouldn't.

Re: Rumour: New App Store in Development for Wii U

WolfRamHeart

The idea of a full-blown app store on the Wii U sounds very interesting. It may be a rumor for now but I hope that this one does end up being true. Something like this could definitely benefit Nintendo. It sure has me eager and excited for more information about the Wii U.

Re: Review: VVVVVV (3DSWare)

WolfRamHeart

Great review Corbs. I was not going to get this game at first because I thought that the price was too much for such a simple looking game. I'm glad that I gave in and decided to give it a shot because this game completely won me over. Old-school fun challenging and addictive gameplay, cool retro graphics and excellent chip-tune music. Love it! I just hope that they patch that Flip mode soon.

Re: Disney Newsletter Accidentally Outs Epic Mickey 2

WolfRamHeart

Even with it's flaws, the first Epic Mickey was a good game. It had a lot of potential but ultimately couldn't live up to the massive hype. I think that this new game will address the issues that plagued the first one and hopefully it will deliver the "epic" experience that we were promised before. I also think that this one will be successful now that it will be available on all platforms. Hopefully, we will see it show up on the Wii U.

Re: Game of the Year: Nintendo Life Staff Awards 2011

WolfRamHeart

Those are some fantastic choices all around. Most of these are games that I would have chosen in those categories such as Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land, Pushmo and MotoHeroz. It is nice to see Solatorobo get some love but I thought that Radiant Historia or Ghost Trick deserved best DS game. Anyway, great article. It was really nice reading the staff's take on other happenings in 2011.

Also, did @theblackdragon not have a "fangirl" moment this year?

Re: Sonic 4: Episode II Revealed, No Nintendo Formats Mentioned

WolfRamHeart

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they decided not to release Episode II on WiiWare. WiiWare is pretty much a dead and neglected service now. Nintendo is focusing all of it's efforts on the 3DS eShop and the Wii U. Other developers like Sega are probably doing the same. We might see this game show up on the Wii U shop one day. I'm sure that Sonic fans will be more than happy to download this on the Wii U. Unfortunately, that wait will probably be a long one.

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th December 2011 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

Okay, I decided to bite the bullet and download VVVVVV after all. It is my first time playing it and so far I am really enjoying it. It is a really good game. I still think that it is a bit expensive but a quality game like this one should not be overlooked. Glad that I decided to give this one chance.

Oh and Bionic Commando is also very good. Great update this week for 3DS owners. Too bad Wii owners aren't so fortunate.
