Re: Nintendo Leaves BAFTA Empty-Handed

WolfRamHeart

I honestly didn't expect Skyward Sword to win any awards at this thing but Super Mario 3D Land losing to Peggle? Seriously? That is a load of bull.

Oh and for the record, I have played Peggle. I have it on my Xbox 360. It is a good game but not better than SM3DL, in my opinion.

Re: Nintendo Download: 15th March 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

Pretty good week for downloads for me. I'm probably going to pick up Shinobi and maybe Dragon Crystal. I imagine Kid Icarus Of Myths and Monsters will show up next week considering that Uprising comes out around the same time. Seems logical but then again sometimes Nintendo can be an enigma.

Re: Feature: The Evolving Role of Swapnote

WolfRamHeart

Good article Thomas. I really do enjoy Swapnote and I have a good amount of friends that actually use it. I try my best to keep up with all the messages but it gets tough especially when you are busy in real life. I haven't been on in over a week and I was bombarded with a ton of messages. I just hope that my friends don't think that I'm dead or something.

Re: Nintendo Rejects The Binding of Isaac

WolfRamHeart

I am disappointed because I really wanted to play this game but then again I can't say that I am surprised by this decision. The game seemed pretty controversial and that is the type of attention Nintendo tends to steer clear of. Personally, it wouldn't of bothered me but I can imagine that religious groups would probably have taken offense to it. I can imagine this would have gotten blown out of proportion because it would have been "family friendly" Nintendo selling this game on a handheld system that lots of children own. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if this game ends up on Vita though. Sony doesn't have that big of a family image as much as Nintendo does. Sony's target audience is typically the older tech crowd. Both Sony and Microsoft could easily get away with releasing this game unscathed. Nintendo is likely just playing it safe. I guess this means no Super Meat Boy on 3DS either.

Re: Review: Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D (3DS)

WolfRamHeart

Great review Jon. I'll admit that the demo didn't exactly wow me when I first tried it. I almost cancelled my pre-order but I sure am glad that I didn't. This version of the game is fantastic. I am really impressed at how good it turned out to be. I am playing it without the CPP; the controls do take some getting used to but once you get it down it plays just fine. The graphics and the 3D effects are also excellent. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but if you enjoy stealth games then I highly recommend that you get this game.

Re: Pokémon Black & White Version 2 Announced

WolfRamHeart

Well, on the bright side, Nintendo is probably already working another Pokemon game specifically for the 3DS in addition to this one. Unfortunately, we will all have to wait a bit longer for that. I am disappointed that this isn't what I was hoping for but chances are that I will still be picking this one up. Hopefully it will be good.

Re: Pokémon Black & White Version 2 Announced

WolfRamHeart

The DS does have a much larger install base than the 3DS right now but I think that Nintendo is missing out on a big opportunity to sell a ton of 3DS systems if they made this game a 3DS exclusive. Pokemon is a system seller and the 3DS could really use this killer app.

Re: Nnooo Reveals escapeVektor for 3DS

WolfRamHeart

As much as I enjoyed escapeVektor on WiiWare, I always felt that it would be better suited to a handheld platform. I'm glad to see that the game was successful enough on WiiWare to make the transition to the 3DS and the PS Vita. I am really looking forward to this.

Re: Shifting World Flips 3DS Upside Down in 2012

WolfRamHeart

I got the original game through PlayStation Plus. It really is a fun, addicting and creative puzzle-platform game. I am interested in seeing how this new 3D version will turn out. Amazon is taking pre-orders for it now, looks like it will retail for $29.99. If you would like to learn more about this game check out this interview with the game's developers: http://indiegames.com/2012/02/interview_fishing_cactus_on_shi.html

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd February 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

Still no Crush 3D demo but we get Nintendogs instead? Sigh. I guess Dillon's Rolling Western would have been in today's update but Nintendo decided to release it a day early due to yesterday's event. So, not much at all this week. Oh well, I got my hands full with Metal Gear 3D right now. Better luck next week.

Re: Review: Dillon's Rolling Western (3DSWare)

WolfRamHeart

Thanks for the review Thomas. It sounds like a good game judging from the reviews and the impressions that I have been seeing but I'm going to pass on it for now. I got my hands full with other games at the moment. I'll probably pick it up later on.

Re: The Last Story Coming to Wii in North America

WolfRamHeart

@Lordlz: That is good to know about XSEED using the European translation for the game. I heard some of the voice samples and they sounded pretty good. Glad to hear that they are sticking with that.

I am wondering if the US will be getting the Limited Edition like Europe. It would be nice to have but either way I am just grateful that we are getting this game period.

Re: Marvel Pinball 3D a Separate eShop Game, not DLC

WolfRamHeart

As @JonWahlgren mentioned, the Marvel Pinball tables on XBLA are incorporated into one game called Pinball FX 2 but it is essentially still Zen Pinball.

I do hope that we get the Marvel: Vengeance and Virtue tables as well. Those are a heck of a lot of fun, especially Ghost Rider and Thor.

Re: Dillon's Rolling Western Has Arrived in North America

WolfRamHeart

Nice surprise to get this game today. I would have picked it up instantly but the price is more than I expected it to be. I will just wait until I read a few reviews before I make my purchase. Hmm, now I wonder what Nintendo will be releasing in tomorrow's eShop update.

Re: Review: The Last Story (Wii)

WolfRamHeart

Thanks for the review Thomas. It was a good and informative read. I am a fan of Mistwalker's games like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey so I am sure that I would enjoy this. It sounds like the only thing holding this game back from being truly exceptional is the limitations of the now dated Wii hardware. I am really glad that the Wii U is right around the corner. Hopefully we will see Mistwalker offer up some RPG gems for Nintendo's next-gen console. For now I am just hoping that the Last Story will come to the US because I would love to play this.

Re: Review: Strider (Wii Virtual Console / Mega Drive)

WolfRamHeart

I think that SEGA did an great job of porting this game to their home console. It holds up really well after all these years. Yes the arcade version is the definitive version but quite a few people, including myself, have very fond memories of playing this on their Mega Drive/Genesis growing up. I suppose it is a matter of perspective as to which version is best but I for one appreciate finally being able to play this on my Nintendo Wii system. Great review Damien!

Re: Review: Metal Gear Solid (Game Boy Color)

WolfRamHeart

Great review Jon. I never got the chance to play this game. I enjoyed the original Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge on the NES when I was a kid. I really hope that this one comes to the eShop, I am sure that I would enjoy it tremendously.

Re: Review: Tekken 3D Prime Edition (3DS)

WolfRamHeart

Very nice review James. I'm tempted to pick this one up but I'm going to pass on it until it drops in price. I am already getting Metal Gear, Kid Icarus and possibly Tales of the Abyss so my 3DS will be busy. Plus, I'd rather get Street Fighter X Tekken with fat Mega Man.

Re: Tekken 3D's Multiplayer Mode is 2D Only

WolfRamHeart

I didn't realize that this game was so close to being released. I'm sure that it will be a good game but I already have several other 3DS games pre-ordered that take priority over this one. I'll pick it up later when it drops in price.
