Besides Nintendo's 1st party games, the gamepad is the only thing that the WiiU has over the PS4 and Xbone. They can't afford to abandon it.

It'll be a silly Nintendo Video app or something equally disappointing.

Maybe it's the art style, but this really looks like it could have been a GBA game. I didn't really like the original very much anyway, so I'll pass on this one.

Where exactly did I say that I thought EA was a good company?
I said they make some good games. They do.
I said they are one of the most powerful videogame companies. They are.
I said it wouldn't be a good thing if Nintendo lost their support. It wouldn't.
You might be reading too much into my comments if you think I have some sort of love for EA. But I don't have some personal vendetta against them either. They're a corporation out to make money, just like Nintendo (or any other company).

As someone who hasn't played any of the Ace Attorney games, I would love to see this come to NA.

Regardless of your personal opinion of EA, they are a major power player in the industry. Losing their support entirely is not a good thing for Nintendo.

And so the WiiU continues its downward spiral into obscurity. EA makes some damn fine games and it's nauseating to read many of the ridiculous comments here. This is not good news. The ignorance of some Nintendo fans is astounding.

Snap, that's still a pretty hefty price tag. I'm almost certain I could find a new WiiU deluxe for that price if I wanted one.

I personally don't care much about online in any of my videogames, but that's an incredibly lame excuse for Nintendo to use. The NES experience? Really? I thought that's what the virtual console service was for. Nostalgia isn't an excuse for failing to evolve.

I'll echo what @DarkKirby said about unified accounts being pointless as of now. Games shouldn't be tied to a console in what is almost 2014. Step it up, Nintendo.

Nintendo, it isn't your job to try and "protect" children from whatever you think the dangers of communication are. The swapnote debacle was just another demonstration of your absolute incompetence when it comes to evolving with technology and culture. It's almost 2014. This is embarassing.

Yeah, I keep hearing how "developers don't understand the potential of the WiiU." I don't really think that's the case. The WiiU just isn't a powerful machine and everyone needs to accept that. Nintendo is a generation behind.

Let's be honest, Nintendo isn't doing much to compete with the likes of GTA:V, Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us.

Wow, those are insane prices for the 3DS versions. Too bad I already own both in physical form. These types of sales are definitely something I hope to see more of in the future. Although I'm still waiting for Nintendo to implement an account based system. Anytime now, surely...

So let me get this straight... A game that was already going to sell miserably on the Wii U (let's not kid ourselves here), is now going to sell even worse. Good job Square Enix.

I do think that Miyamoto's time has come and gone. He's sort of just become this wacky figurehead that's supposed to remind everyone of Nintendo's good ol' days. Nintendo really needs some new blood if it ever hopes to be considered a serious company again.

$10 per sport is ridiculous. The depth just isn't there. Not to mention the fact that the motion controls weren't even very good in 2006 and boxing was straight up broken.

I think an important distinction needs to be made.

Nintendo hardware is unquestionably close to irrelevance.

Nintendo software is just as relevant as it ever was.

Subspace Emissary was bad, but the cutscenes were quite enjoyable. They should have done something like Adventure Mode in Melee.

F-Zero GX still looks fantastic. It doesn't need an HD remake.

$10 for a port of a 20 year-old game is ludicrous.

Very well written article. I love Wind Waker but I already have a GC and an original copy. This "remake" does seem lazy and I agree that it doesn't benefit a whole lot from a new HD coat of paint.

Ugh. Not looking good for the Wii U. My fears of history repeating itself are coming to fruition. I can't say I didn't expect this though. Too bad for Ubisoft. I'll certainly pick up ZombiU if I end up with a Wii U at some point.

Anything I'm interested in comes to North America, so I could not care less about region locking. I have enough games to play without the need to import obscure titles from overseas. I don't get the uproar over region locking. People just like to complain.

A 5? Really? Unbelievable. Easily an 8 or 9 out of 10 for me. I still go back to this game every now and then. One of the GC's best and I'd love to see Rogue Squadron make a comeback.

Old-school expansion-pack DLC is all good in my book. I'm thinking of things like the Civ 5 "Brave New World" or "Gods and Kings" expansions. I'm under the impression that the Luigi DLC is similar in that it's a good chunk of content.

I'm just playing through FE:Awakening now. I really don't like micro transactions but the game is a lot of fun. Buying all of the DLC would likely be equal to or greater than the price of an entirely new 3DS game though.

Meh. I don't take my 3DS anywhere outside my house and if I did, I doubt I'd get a single street pass.

Dang, this is disappointing. 3D Land didn't do it for me.

Shame. I loved the Steam version and I never even touched the multiplayer.

I never owned it, but rented it plenty of times. It's one of the few games that everyone seems to have enjoyed.

There was a time when I would have scoffed at the idea of Nintendo as a software only company, but I'm now convinced that this would be the best option. Their consoles just aren't up to par anymore. I want to play Nintendo games without owning a Wii U.
