Yeah, I don't really understand the "innovation" argument. Nintendo is the most innovative company of the big 3. And then when they do try to innovate, people label it as a gimmick. And then it gets copied by other companies.

That price is ridiculous! I just want to see 3D pokemon. None of the database stuff can match what is already available on the internet via smogon, bulbapedia, and serebii. AR and quizzes don't interest me either. The most I'd pay is $5.

Hallelujah! Here's hoping it comes to the 3DS so I may actually be tempted to purchase some full games digitally.

8 is a great score, but I was hoping for a 9. I'll probably get it though. I've never played a Paper Mario game so I won't feel any familiarity. I can't wait to see how the 3D looks!

Nintendo needs to work a lot more with 3rd parties and encourage them. 3rd party companies need to feel welcome on the WiiU. This is a step in the right direction.

You're right, I might have been exaggerating a bit. But if Miyamoto's argument as to why there hasn't been an F-Zero game is "I thought people were weary of it", that's total BS.
How can people be weary of a franchise that hasn't been seen in nearly 10 years?
The real reason is more likely due to a predicted lack of profit. Or other issues. Miyamoto already said he was disappointed with F-Zero GX.

God d**n it, Miyamoto. That comment actually makes me a little mad. Because obviously F-Zero is the Nintendo franchise that has been done to death and hasn't changed at all. What about Mario or Zelda!?! I don't even know what to say...

@The_Other_M No, the GBA game is awful. F-Zero GX is one of my all time favourite games, and the N64 version is awesome too.

Why anyone would release a game on WiiWare now is puzzling.

I hate RPGs and MMOs with a passion. No thank you.

This is Nintendo we are talking about. 2 years is relatively quick for them.

A Nintendo smartphone app that provides info about games and news would be useful to a lot of people. And a good way to get more folks interested in actual game consoles again.

Good article. When browsing other game sites, I see so many people comment on reviews accusing the reviewer of being payed or bribed to give the score they did. I've always wondered if that is something that happens. Maybe I just like to give people (or sites) the benefit of the doubt. I like to think that ethics will inevitably triumph over greed, but there's no question that a lot of the time this isn't the case.

Shame on people that don't pay for music! I buy at least one CD a month and occasionally pay for individual songs on a subscription service like Puretracks.

Pirating is bad and you should feel bad.

The Wii was an alright system. Not the best, by far. But anyone that says it isn't worth your time is full of BS. There are a ton of absolute gems in its catalogue.

Aha I'm actually reading The Shining on my kindle right now. Good stuff!

It's an alright Wiiware game. I know this from playing the demo 2 or 3 times. My friends think it's hilarious to download demos for games that look terrible onto any Wii that they can, and then play them to see how bad they are....

I've got my kindle, so I don't need this. I don't think the 3DS is really made for ebooks. Reading books on a 3DS would be uncomfortable and awkward.

I still like having different devices for different things!

I have great memories of playing this game. Some things are better as memories though and I think this might be one of them.

Oh wow. Never heard anything about this game, but looks to be my sort of thing. I love games like Braid and Limbo so this is a must-buy for me!

And the circle pad pro is a failed experiment like someone said above. Nintendo really done goofed when they neglected to put a second analog stick on the 3DS.

Is it really that hard to make it backwards compatible with Wii/Wiiware/VC games? Honest question, I don't know the answer.

Like a lot of people, I already have a classic controller anyway. When GC games get released on the WiiU, I wonder if we will have to buy this controller or if we can just use the classic controller (or even the gamepad).

Yeah, QTEs are pretty brutal to see nowadays. I want to enjoy a good cut-scene without having a spasm-induced heart attack. Back when I first bought RE:4 I thought QTEs were the bees knees though...
