@Alexface Unfortunately I think that Capcom, well most publishers really, would still place the blame for any low Switch sales numbers on lack of demand, not due to their overpriced offerings. It's a convenient excuse for them.
@Agramonte Oh hells yes I would kill for a new game of The MaXX. Well, maybe not go that far but I'd at least donate to a Kickstarter for it lol... which I would normally never do. It's good to see that someone else here appreciates the antics of this unbalanced, homeless and awesome super hero. And yeah I think you're right, the art style would be a great fit for the Switch.
(Hahaha... you, sir, obviously have good taste then)
@Agramonte I can relate to that feeling as a kid. Getting a new game that had flashy, seemingly action packed cover art... then actually playing the game and being a tad disappointed when I saw that the game had very little in common with the promising box art.
Definitely the European cover with the Japanese one coming in second, though I agree that the Japanese version would look a lot better without all of the text at the bottom. I didn't care much for the US version at all it just seemed a bit too crowded/busy for my liking.
@Anti-Matter Oh I see. But there's a lot of great mature games where you play as the good guys. Is it only R18+ games that you don't play or do you not play M and MA15+ games either? Though the classifications for certain games might be different in your region I guess.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, I know that Smart Steering is an optional setting in MK8D for young children... but with this game and how they advertise it as one of the main features is a bit off-putting. That plus the massive "6 locations" to actually race on lol. Oh well I guess when the target audience for the game is about 5 years old they don't expect too much feedback or complaints about the content lol.
@Anti-Matter So, a racing game with auto-acceleration and auto-steering still seems interesting and enough of a challenge for you? I'm genuinely curious 😕
@Anti-Matter At its best, it's no more than a bland-looking kart clone - one that is obviously counting on the majority of its sales being generated by the popularity of a little kid, who (apparently) has a strong YouTube presence. And as such it is quite deserving of the cash grab status that it has (very quickly) earned.
I never claimed that it looked like a subpar game just because of the Mario Kart influence... the footage in the trailer itself is more than enough to get an idea of exactly how low the quality of the game is. And overall, it simply comes across as being no more than an uninspired attempt to cash in on the demand for this category of game - from the younger generation of gamers and their parents.
Furthermore, I was not actually bashing on 3rd party racing games by reason of them not being as popular as the heavy hitters like MK8. There are obviously some brilliant gems from the kart/racing game genre scattered around out there from various era's. e.g. Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed, Diddy Kong Racing, Daytona USA, Wacky Racers etc. are just a few great racers off the top of my head.
Sure, it's worth giving new games a chance sometimes... but for a game like "Racing with Ryan"? Nah, never going to happen... they won't get my cash. I don't want the dev team responsible for this garbage to feel encouraged, or be inspired to go ahead and release more completely garbage games in the future.
Wow I thought it would get a better score than that, it seemed quite good on the eshop page. I'm now glad I didn't actually end up pre-ordering like I was considering for a while there.
@Dman10 If Borderlands did end up releasing on the Switch it would be a day one purchase for me, it wouldn't even need to be Borderlands 3 I'd be more than happy double-dipping for a Switch port of The Handsome Collection. Getting the Mass Effect Trilogy on Switch would be great too but GTAV would be a pass, I never even bothered finishing it on PS4 I think it's a bit overrated. Though if a HD remake of Vice City was ever released I'd be very pleased!
@Heavyarms55 I fully agree with you concerning the Pro controller, plus the battery life is quite amazing as well. Especially when compared to the Dualshock... that controller loses its charge so damn fast that it becomes frustrating at times.
@impurekind Yeah, I have had some fun experiences with VR and I think it has enormous possibility... but it still has a lot of problems to overcome in the meantime.

Re: Trials Of Mana Remake Headed To Nintendo Switch Next Year
This looks brilliant so far, I only hope the final product lives up to these great first impressions.
Re: Microsoft Reiterates That It Would Like To See Xbox Game Pass On Other Platforms
@BeanoWild There's no point trying to convince him, he has some bizzare extreme bias against any game that isn't rated for children.

Who really cares what PETA thinks anyway.

@PBandSmelly Agreed. Zim is a fantastic show.

This game has caught my attention, will have to wait for a review though. The concept definitely seems interesting enough.

Re: Random: Japanese Fans Decide Isabelle Would Be The Best Nintendo Sightseeing Guide
Plus Link having to run off and save the world before you even see the first location, that would probably also count against him.

@Anti-Matter Well yeah go ahead and buy it if that's your thing I guess lol...
Re: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe And FIFA 19 Are Europe's Best-Selling Games Of 2019 So Far
@Anti-Matter What do you mean by "18+ criminal games"? Are you talking about the GTA series or something along those lines?

@Bunkerneath Exactly, well said.
Re: Seven-Year-Old YouTube Phenomenon Gets His Own Kart Racer, Race With Ryan
@Anti-Matter Probably because it looks like an awful generic kart racing game that is an obvious cash grab.
Re: Seven-Year-Old YouTube Phenomenon Gets His Own Kart Racer, Race With Ryan
@electrolite77 Yep definitely aimed at gullible parents and their wallets.
Re: Seven-Year-Old YouTube Phenomenon Gets His Own Kart Racer, Race With Ryan
Um ok... I think I'll stick with Mario Kart.
