@MaverickHunterX its a mod, same as the fan conversions of smash brothers its not illegal. Its part of creative use and embelishment clauses of intellectial property code. If nintendo had the rights to take it down, then that means all mods are illegal and should also be taken down. This is not a game built from the ground up. They do not use copyrighted assets from nintendo, all they are doing are graphic and effects mods. Ano example would be skyrim or anyother pc games that have ENB mods or texture mods

@LztheQuack why would Nintendo take this down? Whats their legal ground? Its a mod not a game made from the ground up from Unity like the Mario 64 HD project🙂. It would be like Bethesda taking down all the ENB or graphics mods for their games.!

Your ripping on the elite controller? The elite controller is a luxury item, its not aimed for regular gamers. I dont see you comparing the gamepad to those gaming keyboards or mouse which cost more than 200$.

@Boerewors first week? Its like a few hours at most. And you do know that you can still play the games while simultaneously downloading.

@the-madprofessor This happens when you start a new game after already playing a new game/saved file, simply just quit the game before starting a new one and boot it up.

@the-madprofessor you returned it? Why? Why dont you just reload? Its like a 5 mins loss of Game time. or you could reload a quicksave, or an autosave. There are tons of things you could have done other than returning it. If i returne every game that glitched on me in the begining i wouldve missed on tons of good games. I lost almost 30 mins of playtime in majora mask when i glitched into the game geometry, thats game breaking to, i guess i shouldve returned it.

@Dr_Lugae being creative does not equate to being the best. I could argue that Destiny has better shooting mechanics than splatoon despite it not being entirely original.

@DarkKirby except that Xbox One is selling better than the 360 during the same timeline so i guess they are not that worried that PS4 is selling at almost 2:1 ration since they are still on track to sell more than 80+ Million units if the trend continues.

@rjejr I agree, to much positive spin. Im a stockholder and im disappointed with their missed profit margins. The profits are so tiny that nintendo cant even declare proper dividends. I may as well sell my shares since its no longer worth anything as a dividend investment.

@everyone I still find it extremely doubtful that they can ship more than 2.2 Million units in 6 months. that's like almost selling an equivalent of 20% of the WiiU lifetime sales in half a year!

@whodatninja its actually a very good game. the main complaint before were the end game which they somehow manage to fix already. but you are correct you dont hear very much from those who played the game. the more common people I constantly hear are those who bash or discredit the game without even having played it (not pertaining to you if I somehow give that impression). very sad actually.

The problem is that they have smaller pings because the servers are in their region. ping in the hundreds is a very big advantage in online play, especially shooters.

Anyway your equating DLC with the price of the game? Then hyrule warrior must be so expensive, and mario kart 8 must then be nearing 90$ right now and so is Smash Bros. You dont have to buy the DLC! The game is perfectly playable without it. The maps offered with the game ia still played by lots if players today. Moreover i have played many call of duty games, even bought advance warfare on its release and i can tell you that unlike devils third, there were no ugly textures, erratic performance, etc etc the fixes mostly consists of minor bugs, rare glitches and balance correction for multiplayer. Since we are talking about price, then lets add all the microtransaction crap of devils third just to be fair.

@Donutman COD may be an annual thing but atleast they are polished, looks godd, plays great, no micro transactions, has also a fun multiplayer. so you justify buying an unpolished game for 60$ over COD? Ill take COD over this anyday.

@Jimtaro also, with regard to remakes and developers sales expectation. Developers do not expect that the remake will sell as much as the next main installment, they just have a threshold and bottomline to guage interest. They do actually make market studies you know.

How the heck can you say that gears of war as a weaker entry, the other examples are remasters, remasters are mostly used to gauge the demand for such games. Lastly Even nintendo does what you complain of, they just dont articulate their reason. Case in point Lots franchises are no loner used due to poor initial sales

@night: they cant be charged with attempted murder because to be convicted of attempted murder there must be an "attempt". possession and threats are not an attempt.

an adequate example is if a person breaks the window of your house with the intent to enter and kill you but was arrested before he can enter the broken window. at that point despite his intent, it is still called an indefinite crime since it cannot yet be determined what crime he could have commited inside. he could have robbed, raped, killed etc. etc. He therefore can only be charge by the acts he actually committed which is malicious mischief or atmost attempted robbery (in this case Illegal Possession or acts of terror).

@DiscoGentleman: trust me they are not doing well financially, i'm a stockholder and most other nintendo stockholders I know are very disappointed in Nintendo stocks! the earnings you parrot are so miniscule that the dividends for the stocks are so laughable. in short, they are not profiting, they don't have unrestricted retained earnings sufficient enough to boost its dividends to it stockholders, they are merely breaking even. to make matters worse the so called earning were due to currency fluctuations of the yen.

New heights? Like 13 million life time sales?

Some people here seems to think that Third parties need Nintendo, thatthey need to develop relationships with the fan base, to treat nintendo fans fairly etc etc. but the question is do they really have to do that? I posit that Third partiesdon't really need Nintendo. Earnings of third party developers comes from Sony ad Microsoft, they already have a proven market. They only see nintendo as an afterthought. Therefore they really dont need to give any effort. If their initial experiments fail they will just shrug and move on, if it succeeds thenits just a bonus.

So your saying they are making it appear that nintendo games dont sell? So basically NPD has some agenda. That they are manipulating stock prices to increase the share prices of all other developers in the top 10 other than nintendo? That its nintendo vs everyone else?
