@tekknik They had them at the time and I had to pay $20 each to get both back. One had a drift, the other had connection issues. At the end of the day I was paying $70 for repairs rather than paying for a new pair. They work perfectly now.
@Dakotastomp There is no cross compatibility with save data or multiplayer at the moment. Pipeworks (the porting devs) hinted at cross platform multiplayer a while back.
@Dakotastomp It costs $30 US. I feel like the price for this version is a bit too much in comparison to the others. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions currently cost $20 US.
@Balta666 It’s been “now in development” a lot longer. I think the reason they chose those words was to not commit to a release frame and also inform people who may not already be aware it’s at that stage. The project has been in development since the end of Breath of the Wilds in planning stages. Then, as described in Master Works, the actual game making had begun prior to the interview in December 2017. Since then we’ve seen countless job listings and positions offered for development. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility at all that this game is coming out in 2020. Core design principles have been set through the engine and art style, so it is highly likely this project will be streamlined in development. At the end of the day, this is speculation. I don’t know where they are with the game, but I’m hopeful that we could see it in 2020/2021. That being said, King Zell has mentioned a 2020 Zelda game if you “liked botw”.
I believe a 2020 or early 2021 release is entirely possible. Perhaps they covered less on this game in order to wait for a larger reveal at the Games Awards and then a full E3 Treehouse segment next year.
@YANDMAN It’s a culmination of content from the 3DS and PS4 versions. With language from the English version, 8-bit from the 3DS and adjustments to make the game better to play. On top of that, it has new content which will be exclusive. I reckon that’s enough to deem it ‘definitive’.
Yes! Been waiting for this game for a long time. Could’ve gotten it on PS4, but I waited for the Switch version because I reckon it will be the definitive edition. Although the visuals won’t be on par, I can definitely see this port performing extremely well.
@JJ286 They have a racing game mode within Starlink. So I’d still say that’s credible enough considering something in that nature did come. The leaker wasn’t completely false like many.
Was extremely disappointed about this when I saw it. $40 AU for me. Is there a chance they will reduce the cost because I can’t imagine spending $120 AU on these three. As much as I love them, I was expecting more like $20-$30.
Was holding off preordering the standard edition for a limited edition, however, this was not as good as I was expecting. Fates had lots more content for less in its limited edition. In Australia this one is double the cost of the standard game. Would like it, but the price for the extras alone is not worth it.
Fantastic Direct. Only problem I have is that most of the releases seem to be aiming for the end-half of the year. Sort of hoping for an earlier Links Awakening release. When do you guys think it’s coming out?
Fire Emblem Three Houses is coming Spring. I doubt they’d lie to investors so close to a Direct about it. Regardless, we have yet to see whether this is true or false.
Been playing through Dark Souls. I just got to Ash Lake but kind of stuck where to go next. Still loving this game though. Hope the second and the third come to Switch.
I believe each of these dates are real. The only exception would be Metroid Prime 4 which is definitely a placeholder for this year which they haven’t updated yet. I reckon the rest are true. Confused why Fire Emblem Three Houses doesn’t have a release date.
I’ve pretty much been playing Wargroove. Great game that lacks depth of story, but has huge depth either it’s strategy mechanics. I don’t mind the story as a whole because then campaign creator offers tonnes of player-made ones. Hope this Mario Maker like creator thrives.
Day One purchase! I have been waiting so long and checking Pipeworks on the Terraria forums weekly to see their progress with the port. Hopefully they can move through their beta quickly as I am keen to properly dive into the 1.3 update. When it came to PC I gleaned over it but moved on to other games shortly after. Definitely worth the wait to play it on the go!
@phanboy It will be getting more content over time. Since Pipeeorks took over for the console builds they have been working very hard to eventually deliver updates on par with PC.
That report is from last year. Maybe plans have changed since then? We have yet to see a direct. Who knows what will happen. Maybe, maybe not. I’m still keen for Resident Evil 1, 0 and 4.
@Lalivero Yeah I get what you mean. It is pretty awesome to have a multi platform title like Doom Eternal on Switch next year. Super keen to play Doom again on Switch to see what the update has done to improve performance.
@CarsonCool Don’t think they said it will be built from the ground up for Switch. It’s being developed at the same time as the other version, just outsourced to Panic Button as they are more familiar with the Switch.

Re: Nintendo To Reportedly Fix Joy-Con Drift For Free, Will Refund Customers Who Paid
Is this for Australia as well? I paid $50 for a repair on a single Joycon!
Re: This Year's QuakeCon Is Celebrating 25 Years Of DOOM With Two Special Panels
@Grumblevolcano Haha. YES!
@BANJO Check this one out. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/06/bethesda_might_have_more_surprises_for_nintendo_switch_owners_in_the_future
Re: This Year's QuakeCon Is Celebrating 25 Years Of DOOM With Two Special Panels
@BANJO One of the producers said there’d be surprises for Switch there. Only a few days to go till we see. Doom 64 would be fantastic!
Re: This Year's QuakeCon Is Celebrating 25 Years Of DOOM With Two Special Panels
I bet this is where they are going to announce their next unannounced Switch game.
Re: Nintendo Posts Job Listings For Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Sequel Dungeon Designers
They already hired quite a few dungeon devs this year. I would presume they are getting more to aid development for a release of late 2020/early 2021.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 29th)
Playing Terraria on Switch this weekend!
Re: Terraria Arrives On The Switch eShop This Week
@Dakotastomp There is no cross compatibility with save data or multiplayer at the moment. Pipeworks (the porting devs) hinted at cross platform multiplayer a while back.
Re: Terraria Arrives On The Switch eShop This Week
@NotTelevision Totally agree. The mobile and 3DS ports so far have felt a little bit off to me. As a handheld game it will be at home on Switch.
Re: Terraria Arrives On The Switch eShop This Week
Also Terraria was announced for Switch in 2017 with a release in the same year.

Re: Bethesda Might Have More Surprises For Nintendo Switch Owners In The Future
I reckon Quakecon is the place where the next Bethesda Switch title(s) will be announced.
Re: Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition Rated By The Australian Classification Board
@Solomon18 Haha, same. Didn’t pickup any words though, 😂

Re: Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition Rated By The Australian Classification Board
@ALinkttPresent Yeah. Hoping for more open world RPG’s of this scale next year. I can only deal with a couple each.
Re: Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition Rated By The Australian Classification Board
@Solomon18 Wish us Aussies actually talked like that. The slang from New Zealanders is a lot more like that.

Re: Rumour: Link's Awakening Might Not Be The Only Zelda Game Released In 2019
The leaker was technically right about the Grand Prix though.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 2nd)
Wolfenstein 2 for me. I had no idea what to expect and it’s amazing. Glad I picked it up.
Re: Want Resident Evil On Your Switch? You'd Better Have Deep Pockets
@Dirty0814 Yeah, hoping they take the hint fans don’t want it and reduce it. I’d easily buy them if they had at least 30% off the current price.

Re: Pokémon Direct Officially Confirmed For Tomorrow, 27th February
I hope we get footage unlike the last Pokémon Direct where all they showed was concept images for Sun and Moon.
Re: Pokémon Direct Officially Confirmed For Tomorrow, 27th February
@Broosh That’s true. Pretty keen to see what the next generation will look like.
Re: Rumour: PlatinumGames' Scalebound Is Being Revived As a Nintendo Switch Exclusive
This would be huge for Nintendo to accept such an anticipated title.

Re: Game Boy Classic Zelda: Link's Awakening Is Getting Remastered For Switch
Love this! Hoping for an earlier release date since everything has sort of been packed into the back end of the year.

Fire Emblem Three Houses is coming Spring. I doubt they’d lie to investors so close to a Direct about it. Regardless, we have yet to see whether this is true or false.
Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 13th February
Resident Evil 0/1/4 release please... and Dragon Quest 11 gameplay for Switch

King Zell was right!

Re: Talking Point: Is A Nintendo Direct Really On The Way?
There is an incoming Direct this week.... I hope.
Re: Looks Like Assassin's Creed III Remastered Is Coming To Switch After All, According To Ubisoft's Website
This was definitely intended to be held back for a Direct.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 9th)
@StormtheFrontier Thanks. I have felt a bit stuck since I defeated the Anor Londo boss. Appreciate the help.
Guess I’m going to be preparing for difficult bosses ahead...

Re: Assassin's Creed III Remastered Gets Official Release Date, But It Seems The Switch Rumours Were False
The cover art is too real to be a placeholder. I bet they are holding this off for the next Direct.
Re: Nintendo Has "Nothing To Announce" On The Rumours Of A Switch Mini
I would get a Switch Pro any day. Hoping they eventually improve on the model, just not too soon.

SNES Online next month? Based on the Nikkei article it sounds like that it might be coming really soon.
Re: Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet Won’t Be Released In Europe Or North America
Not a fan of this game series. I think developer talent like this could be used somewhere else. 😀
