I bought this game on release after a really bad breakup and it was a bit of a life saver for me. Great game with a tinge of melancholy, perfect for a broken heart!

I'd argue that the Dark Brotherhood side quest is much better in Oblivion than in Skyrim.

Got my invite today, was panicking yesterday as it hadn't come but managed to secure an Amazon preorder. So my invite from Nintendo turned out to not be needed. I wanted a GC controller but £58.99 was too much

I don't understand how "SuperCafe" can be in line for both the opening and the Switch 2. Surely as soon as he steps inside for the opening of the shop on 15th May, his position in the queue for Switch 2 is void?

Amazon didn't send me an invite and nothing from Nintendo despite meeting their criteria. Kept checking back on Amazon every hour or so (had vouchers to use) and eventually hit gold, bagging a pre-order this afternoon! Though they don't take payment, you'll need the funds available on your payment method.

OK, I may be thick here, but what's the point of a headphone jack in the controller? Switch has Bluetooth for audio, can this not be used for online gaming?

I would be quite happy for this to be a Switch 2 exclusive, I suspect the main audience for Metroid Prime 4 will likely be Switch 2 early adopters anyway.

@tsim21 agreed. It's also mad they don't have more games on Switch in general. Considering how well CIV is doing, Command & Conquer on Switch should be a no brainer

I think their campaign of "This is an XBox" is the clue to what they're planning. XBox Live will eventually be available on all platforms as well as anything with a screen and internet connection.

@tjhiphop if I had to guess, I'd say that the longer you've had your Nintendo account the less likely you were to get a ticket. They know you're going to buy day one anyway!

Doesn't help that, aside from FIFA, they've practically ignored the best selling system since the PS2. I would buy Command & Conquer, Mass Effect Trilogy and an NHL game on Switch in a heartbeat.

It's easy to get annoyed by these things, but the truth is, if people weren't willing to buy at the Scalper prices, there wouldn't be a problem. Even with the last Zelda Amiibo batch, they sold out in an instant and now people are happily paying twice the RRP for them. If we weren't willing to pay the price, scalpers can't survive.

this is human nature all over, an extreme example is ivory. What good is ivory, why would anyone want it, what use does it have that can't be sought elsewhere? Those questions don't matter because as long as people are willing to pay for it, others will go to extremes to supply it.

I think a puzzle game would be the best way to go. Micro transactions to get tips or items to get through a particular puzzle. Progress through fire/water/forest/shadow/desert dungeons by increasingly more difficult challenges.

Agreed, there are more worthy titles that should be in there before Wii Sports is included. I also agree with your earlier comment, it's a no-brainer that games like Donkey Kong, SMB, Pong, Pokémon, Sonic, Doom et al should be just in there.

Make sure amiibo is switched on in your settings. Select the amiibo option on the Slate's powers and press L as if you are using a Slate Rune Power. An aiming circle will appear on the ground and if you scan an amiibo, the rewards will fall from the sky around the aiming circle. (this is for Switch, not sure if it's the same for Wii U)

I remember my Wii remote becoming completely unresponsive in the early days. The suggested fix online was to bang it face down on the floor, which actually worked!!

I read it as only one game on one Switch, not that previous purchases would not be allowed. I probably should have engaged brain a bit better! Oh well, I'm keeping my Wii U hooked up alongside my switch so no urgent need to redownload these.

I get the feeling that the Switch will kick off in the UK post launch, when people start seeing them and the adverts properly kick in, it'll be a different story. Although, I can't recall ever seeing a TV ad for a games console pre launch...

I like Mass Effect very much but I love Zelda a lot more, I'm picking up a Switch with BotW at launch and will consider Mass Effect Andromeda down the line when the price drops. However, if it does come out on Switch, it'll be a no-brainer!

My son has been collecting Skylanders for 4 years now, we missed out on Supercharges but have Imaginators on the Wii U. This announcement isn't really that much of an issue, those figures add nothing to this game. My wife wants to know whether we can get the Imaginators game fro the Switch without buying the whole starter pack again.

£1.99 makes this game worse value than 1-2-Switch.
