I’ve never ever played a Metroid game but have always been interested. I’ll definitely pick up what I can on Switch. Fingers crossed for an HD prime trilogy before Metroid Prime 4. It only makes sense.
I’ll be focusing on finishing the Dawnguard questline in Skyrim with some Enter the Gungeon interspersed throughout. I’ve also had a hankering to go back to Mario Odyssey lately and get more moons, since I beat the main story and stopped.
I’d be more inclined to buy this instead of some of the newer Lego games that Have been coming out. I grew up with lego games on Wii, before they went open world. I’ll buy it physical at a discount. Also I enjoy playing through movies because I don’t like lego’s original stories. No more “cosmic brick” fiascos a la Lego Marvel Super Heroes please.
I’ll download Paladins later today. I’ll probably buy the physical version of the Mega Man X games when it goes on sale. I’ve yet to play any Banner Saga game, so it’ll be a while before I play 3. Other than that, nothing new for me.
Really fun article! Reading stuff like this makes me want to pursue video game/movie journalism in the future. Anyways, thanks for increasing my hype even more!
@Haywired I can definitely understand that. I didn’t realize Shovel Knight would be difficult until after I dropped the $25 on it. It may not be technically incredibly hard, but I don’t have much experience with platformers, so I was bad at it. Since then I’ve kind of realized I need to just play some easier games for the sake of my anxiety and stress. 😅
I’ll give it a shot. I have Overwatch on PS4 so I don’t see much of a point in getting invested, but I’ve heard you guys find it rea fun, so maybe I’ll see y’all online!
Smash is an obvious Day one for me. I’ll keep my eye on Pokémon Let’s Go!, Mega Man 11, PAW Patrol: On A Roll and a few others, but otherwise my year looks pretty barren in terms of new Switch games. Also, is Okami HD getting a physical release?
I’m planning on picking up the combo pack of these after I buy the one for normal Mega Man. Sure, it sucks that you only get half the package on the cartridge, but I’d like to have the box for as many games as possible.
Meh. I’ll just use my crap one I got from GameStop a few years back and just buy the adaptor or I’ll just learn with the joy cons. Heck, maybe I’ll even get a pro controller down the line.
@MH4 @Wanjia Huh, maybe it’s just me. I love my Switch, don’t get me wrong, but I just don’t love always having it with me. I may also be more hesitant due to how long I saved for the Switch (I’m a teen). Also my DS library may have something to do with it, as it was pitiful until I went to a used media store and got Final Fantasy III. My friend @Tingle_The_Great also let me borrow Super Mario 64 DS. These got me back into my DS and I’m looking to expand my collection with other DS games and GBA games.
Question: Who actually brings their Switch everywhere with them? If say, I’m going out with the family and we’re going into town, I’m more inclined to bring much DS as much less tears would be shed if it was stolen. I bring my Switch on long car rides and vacations, but in terms of always having a system with me, I’d prefer my DS.
Honestly, I don’t think the Legend of Zelda lends itself to film adaptation very well. If it were to have a movie, I would want it in a CG animated movie with an active sidekick (more like Midna, less like Navi). I’d rather see a CG Zelda show on a streaming service than a movie.

I really hope we get more than just NES games... I know they’re classics but SNES games hold up far better.

Re: Take-Two Says Its Switch Releases Have Been "Successful", More Games To Come
I remember playing carnival games on the Wii way back. Never was as fun as Mario Party, so I’ll probably lean into Super Mario Party as my party game.
