It isn't horrible, but it also isn't good. There needs to be a better design in place, with support for themes and folders. Black and White (ah, see what I did there?) gets bland and boring after a while. We need something new. Perhaps those jobs that just opened up at the Japan office will help with this? The OS was made by the hardware team and in my opinion, it shouldn't have been. Not hating on it, just providing some feedback.

I don't particularly like the OS on the Switch. Well, the HOME menu and the other features inside it. (The eShop is fine, honestly) I think it could be more modern and less "developer tools" esque. Hopefully they can fill these postions and that we get a new design.

@Spoony_Tech The only reason I'm complaining about it, honestly, is that I have a 1.5 Mbps connection all the time. In order to do updates to things I have to go to my aunt's where it's like 60 Mbps. My ISP is horrible and unfortunately I'm going to have to stick with them for the time being. Looking into alternatives to fix the "ugh" I have about updates. I'm sure there's something they can do for us 'slow internet folk' out here in the wilderness.

@Spoony_Tech Honestly, take note Ubisoft. Their Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy physical disc is a joke. It requires a HUGE day one update from what I understand. En cue "Goodness gracious, it's a monster!"

I personally think that adding in YouTube and Netflix would be welcome additions! We already have Hulu, but that doesn't account for everyone so why not cover all their bases. Make even more people in families with Switch consoles happy? Seems like a decent move to me! (I may have a bit of bias here because I just got Netflix for my family and don't really feel like lugging my Switch for games and my tablet for everything else with me.)

I'm honestly enjoying the Fortnite on Switch. When it launched, I figured that was the time to try it and I quite like it. One thing I did do was set a force bed time alert for 11pm so that I wouldn't be up playing it all night. I've learned something: never get too obsessed with a game. For me, it disrupts sleep.

Sorry, got off track. My point here is: It's not as bad as people make it out to be. Nintendo doesn't lock your account to their platform AND it's actually decent in docked mode (frame-rate wise, unless you have a bad connection). If you do have trouble, find the manual server location toggle and find one with the lowest number of ms reach.

@james_squared I'm having fun with it too! It's actually not as bad as people are making it out to be. It is confusing at first, but eventually you get the hang of everything. So glad they got it on Switch. Been trying to find reasons to use the thing! Haha.

I think he may be serious this time. If Nintendo releases another console (which is likely) they may just pull a page out of Skyrim's handbook and keep porting Ultimate. I don't know, though, I obviously don't work there but definitely a possibility if they're calling it "Smash Bros. Ultimate."
