Re: Weirdness: Nintendo of America Unleashes a Peculiar StreetPass Weekend Trailer

Sherman

Well, there is a way to make you're modem serve as a Nintendo Zone.
You change the SSID (the network name you see when searching for wifi connections) to "attwifi". Make it a free network (no password) and connect your 3DS.
It works but I don't know if you need an specific kind or brand of modem or any other specific stuff. But search for it. I bet there's tons of tutorials out there.

Re: Rumour: Ubisoft's Watch Dogs Is Coming To The Wii U

Sherman

As I watched E3, I was getting so bored. All of the giants sucked: Microsoft, Sony and yes, Nintendo too. Then I saw this and I was mind blown.
"This is a GTA like game, but you use tech and you think while playing", it's what I was saying to myself.
Watch closely, it's not just about killing. You make your way through the game taking every decision into account.
And I bet it has a great story too. The video at E3 showed a little bit more that this one. That one had an explanation of the world you're set to play, and more important, at the end, the camera goes to another character on another part of the city and you start to play as the other guy. So, in firts place, you just don't play as the tug, and second, it makes me thinking that you could be playing with every character involved in the plot, even with the enemy and that every thing you do affects the story.

This is non-linear as it gets.

And that engine? Oh, my God!
But the main thing about why this should be on Wii U is that as soon as I saw the guy using the "smartphone" to hack... "Gamepad". This game is perfect for Wii U, this is the game that'd make get one for sure. I said it the moment I saw the trailer that day and I still say it.

Re: Fire Emblem: Awakening Demo On Its Way to North America

Sherman

I've never player a Fire Emblem, but this one looks so good. I've gotta have it. The chance to battle against other player characters by StreetPassing is really neat. Started playing Stiker Star today, I'll have to finish that one quick 'cause I'm gonna level up really good my FE team. Or at least will be getting it for the free DLCs and play it later. Anyways, I was looking for a good trategy title, and this is it. I'd love to see a Ogre Battle too though. Loved the N64 Ogre Battle. Need a secuel for that one =D

Re: Reggie Promises Steady Stream Of Wii U Consoles

Sherman

Well, the big retail stores don't know the price yet here in México. You can pre-order but you don't know how much you're gonna be paying at the end. And because I'm sure they gonna sell it like double the USA price and I don't wanna pre-order a Wii U and then not being able to pay the full price, no pre-order for me, no sir.
Oh, and they don't know if it is the regular or the deluxe bundle.

Re: Egads, The Castlevania Movie Adaptation Is Actually Happening, Again

Sherman

It's always the same: The director wants to make a "great master piece", so he change/adapt the movie to what he thinks it's best to surprise us all showing us something that we can't predict if we've played the game. But, he has never played the game and ends up making something entirely different from what we all know and love.
Hay can´t this people just make a copy of the original story? The best comic adaptation movie I've seen is Sin City, and you know why? Because they use the damn comic dialogs as the script and the panels as the storyboard.

@Sherman: you don't like the price don't pay it; you can't afford it save until you can. I don't care how poor you are, video games aren't a basic human right

First you called me thief, now you call me poor. Guess you just can't read well or your braing can't assimilate what I'm saying.

@Sherman I know that feel. New Wii games are $100 here and new 3DS games, $70. Good luck.

God, that's even worst =(

@Gridatttack, it sucks, right?

Sean_Aaron wrote:

Given the non-essential nature of gaming systems "it's too expensive" is a fantastically weak defence. I figure anyone using that line must shoplift on a regular basis as well?

No, I'm a hard worker, hate people who steals anything. So don't say it like you know about it. I don´t know how much you get paid and the game prices there, but I'm guessing it's pretty fair. I need to work 3 days, each day an 8 hours shift just to get enough money to buy one 3DS game. And let me tell you I have a good job, a well paid job. And still, 24 hours of work as a developer here in México it's equal to 5 hours of flipping burguers in the US.
Not to mention that if you work flipping burgers here you'll need to save a whole week, 45 hours of work to get you a 3DS game. Now tell me they are not expensive and we are using it as an excuse.

Re: Nintendo Determined to Beat Hackers with Wii U and 3DS

Nintendo should care less about piracy and more about their super high prices. In México games are very expensive: The games you can buy for about 40 dollars like Kid Icarus: Uprising in the U.S. we buy them at 60 dollars (800 pesos) here in México. Yes, our 3DS games are even more expensive than U.S. Wii games. Can you guess how much a Wii games costs here? Your 50 dollars Skyward Sword costs 67.50 dollars (900 pesos) here.To make things worst, the average wage in the U.S. it's around 7.50 dollars an hour. Here you need to work a whole 8 hours shift to get paid that. Nintendo should spend resources and money in making social-economic studies and not in anti-piracy updates and price their games and consoles according to the results. And one more thing: A lot of games are not available in here. I went to 7 different stores looking for any Layton games and only found one and bought it. I would've bought all of them, but couldn't find them.

And before you delete this or warn me, I wan't to make it clear that this is not a pro-piracy comment:

I'm not sayind piracy is OK, I'm saying that Nintendo's high prices are not!

And that's a big cause of people buying this cards. Just stating a point, nothing more.I'm just pissed off 'cause a lot of us had to come to use any of these resources at some point because we have no choice. Literally, we... have... no... choice...I want to buy games at a reasonable price. Just put them within our range, Nintendo, please.(And if any of you have the money to buy games and/or your games are cheaper than mine and still use Flash Card, then shame on you).

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime: Fanbase Demands Are 'Insatiable'

Sherman

Talking with my girl a few days ago about how the Nintendo E3 sucked, and how the Nintendo Direct videos where so much better. As I was tanting, she said to me: "It's because Nintendo is evil. There's always a hidden motive." And that got me thinking and now I know why... I guess:The E3 is a world wide known event. All the perople in the world get to know what happen here, even kids, non gamers and family parents. That's why Nintendo showed all that family-safe-fun-sing-and-dance-with-your-hollow-fake-laughs-"friends" games. But then, for the fan base they gave us the Nintendo Direct: Content that you practically go and search for. Information that a non-knowing can't get that easy.Nintendo people is so damn smart.

Re: Some Club Nintendo Coin Values Will Change on 1st July

Sherman

In Europe have very good prices like the KI:U AR cards, the soundtracks or my favorite: The Wii Super NES Classic Controller ... that's just beyond awesome.
In America we have games, cool cases, the Giant AR card, and the one I want: History of Handheld Systems: Collectible Cards.
But! In Europe you can exchange Stars for Nintendo Points, so you got the "No games" thing pretty much solved there.
In both places, there are good stuff. Bad stuff too, like a wallpaper... realy? A wallpaper?
My point is, you're all lucky. We have no Club Nintendo here in México... If I want to register my game I have to do it with a USA account.
I can't get any physical price like the Giant AR Card, Even if we had in the American continent the KI:U AR Cards I won't be able to get them. It suck way more for me =/

Made me a child, took me to a long forgotten place, made me feel like a hero again.
Those were the day, the adventure days, the good videogames days, the real gamers days.
Thank you, you really know who we are!
