Re: Talking Point: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U Can Wear Many Masks

Sherman

I do wanna play ot, @evanescent_hero! I even have the N64 cart, but I'm waiting for the 3DS remake. It's gonna happen, right?
Again, I said "or something like that". And I know it sounds crazy, I'm not one of those guys that defend things without evidence. I just think it's cool, and that Nintendo likes to give some cool twists on thing. They could easily give an explanation to all that as how they did with the three timeline split. A secuel of Majora's Mask, where Link was in a purgatory, trying to beat his own regrets. He goes back to Hyrule after that and there's the secuel with the same link, explaining how he became the ghost in Twilight... not by just dying, of course. I don't know, I just want to dream XD
Nintendo need to step up after that killer Microsoft conference. They did listen to what people said and delivered. I hope Nintendo do the same.

I know those are just theories, @evanescent_hero, that'a why I said a lot "dead or something like that". And I do have the Hyrule Historia but I haven't read it. I haven't played Twilight nor Skyward and so afraid of spoilers. Heck, haven't even played Majora's and still don't know what the end is! I'm spoiler free 'til today!! So, please, don't spoil me.
Yes, theories, theories everywhere, but some are very tight and I actually like them. One think I know, or at least I think it's a fact, might be wrong, it's that the "warrior" that helps link with his swordsmanship is the ghost of a hero, or something like that. Tsn't it the ghost of the Majora's hero? And if it is, would it add to the theory of Link being dead "or something like that"?
And, I'm really asking this because I don't know, but do the hero have to be a descendant of another hero? In Between Worlds everything points that Gramps is Link to the Past's hero, but not a clue on if he is related to the current hero.

Re: Talking Point: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U Can Wear Many Masks

Masks in another Zelda game? Never gonna happen, not as we saw them in Majora´s Mask. In Majora's Mask that happened because Link was dead (or something like that). What I mean is, this "powers" that the Masks give don't apply in the "real world".
That's why they [any one at Nintendo with knowledge or authority on the game] just evade the questions. Link is dead, in the purgatory, in a coma after the fall and all the journey it's just a way of acceptance of the innevitable (he is in Termina after all) or something like that. And don't forget each area is one the five stages of grief, wich helps with any of the theories listed behind.
So, if you wanna see Masks againt, it would have to be in a remake or a secuel. Although, a secuel after Link's death (or something like that) would be a hard one to pull off.

Re: Rumour: Grainy Image of "Mario Maker" and Nintendo's 2014 E3 Show Floor Emerges

Sherman

I'm gonna go with fake. The bad quality of the image kindda adds to that. Who the hell have that kind of sorry **s camera? That's an effect too. And I think, as the arrangement shows, it should be another Smash character the one displayed there. This game should have their own space as it always has been with new games every year!
The "Mario Maker" text is not very well aligned with the top of the poster. The bricks look funny and unaligned with the edges too.
And there's this...
Untitled
Yes, that's the same hand. If I'm shoping a fake poster and I want it to look as official as it can, I'd take and official image to do it, of course. Copy/paste and it's done. You could say Nintendo own the image and they can use it as much as they want, but they don't have the need to do that as they have a very large image stock. They can recycle if they want to but I don't remember Nintendo doing that.
Don't get me wrong, this would be awesome, and I hope I'm wrong. This game, with the capability to skan figurines... I mean. play any Super Mario Bros stage you can imagine with any Nintendo character!? Sold!! It would be like an official Super Mario Crossover with stage editor. Take my money now!!

Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour - Results and Round Three

Sherman

As Mr. @ThomasBW84 himself said, the tournaments will go on as long as the community wants them and play them, @luke88. If you are planning to buy the game, now it's the perfect time. There are official Nintendo Tournaments going right now where you get free stuff just by participating. That's another bonus to get it now.
The first getting said score gets the top position, @psuboy172. Let's say I score a -18 and I'm 10th with that, then you score the same as me, you'll be right after me in the 11th place. Then some else score -18 as well, he'll be right after you at 12th and so on.
Sadly, I only had time to play for shot periods last week, and couldn't participate in the tournament. Just speed runs of the Nintendo ones to get my free stuff. Hope to make it this week

Re: The Wii U Version Of Super Smash Bros. Will Utilise The NFC Nintendo Figurine Platform

Sherman

I think it could be something like:

  • We've this 5 DLC packs, We've this 10 Nintendo character figurines.
  • You can buy any DLC on the eShop or you can buy any figurine, scan it and chose between any of the DLC.
  • Why is it better to buy a figurine instead of the DLC? Because that same figurine would be used in some other Nintendo games as well.

I think this would be a really smart move.

Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour in the NLife Masters - Round Two

Sherman

"Alright everyone, we've got a 3rd place vacancy. Let the scrap fighting begin!", hahahaha.
I wish I had more time, but I can only finish one time and in a hurry. But I'll try it. I need to get into the Nintendo ones and get my free goodies first though.
Could you make it a top 20, @ThomasBW84? I think it would make everyone's odds more achievable, thus, make everyone enjoy more this and trying hard to get up there.

Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour - Results and Round Two

Sherman

This would've been a day one buy for me if I had the money. I've always loved Mario Golf games since N64. The thing is, people run away from the word "golf" like if it's the plague. My Girl just said "Love, it's golf. The most boring thing in the world" when I talk so stocked about the game since I got it. And she loves videogames, she just wasn't crazy about golf. Then I told her to download the demo and give it a go. The next day I was chatting with her and remind her of the demo, she said "... i've been playing it for two hours straight".
Let this be a lesson to you indecisive ones out there.

Re: Nintendo Hosting Two Big Evening Presentations at E3

Sherman

I hope's not Majora's. I mean, I do want a Majora's, but spending an hour and a half falking about a remake it's just a waste of very good oportunity to bump up the 3DS in other ways or, damn, the Wii U, that really reeeally need it.
I hope it's a new IP, or the awesome return of one of the biggest. The 3DS have done a magnificat job with this: They delivered the definitive "this is how this games are gonna be from now on" on Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus and Animal Crossing.
They could be trying to do this with Metroid, Starfox, any of the less big like Advance Wars, which would be very awesome in fact. I think it's a good move to revive some of the old IP like they did with Kid Icarus. That was a very well done job. A Punch-Out wouldn't be that bad either.
Metroid would be great, if any of this two: A 2D game with the best story ever, taking as much as possible from Super Metrid, or a 3DS/FPS developed by Retro with the best versus mode ever. Starfox, I'm going with the "best versus mode ever" for this one too. Maybe Sub-wars was for testing terrain on the matter. I can really see an hour and a half talk about any of this two games happening.
A revitalized Advance Wars would be so awesome. Fire Emblem: Awakening proven that 3DS has a very good number of consumers liking strategy games, and if you add to that an online/local/play-in-the-same-3DS multiplayer... Damn!!
F-Zero? Yes, please! Mario Kart on Wii U and F-Zero on 3DS. Not bad. But I don't see the 90 minutes conference happening over F-Zero.
Now, we have to think how Streetpass would work with this games. That's very important. Or at least Nintendo should give to that feature what it deserves. I love a good Streetpass use in a game.
Damn! There's a lot of games of games and this could take me all day so I´m gonna leave it here. But hey! At the end it doesn't matters...

It's gonna be a new Mii Plaza game!!
