Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour With Nintendo Life

Sherman

I saw your -26, @Dragonxflame323, and I was like cursing all over the place. How is that even posible!? And then I saw that -27... Ffffuuuuuuu!!!
Those scores are even better than the World Tournament #1! Didn't you participate in that one?
Oh, one more thing: Are you using hacking or something, haha.

Re: Video: Musician Lindsey Stirling Dresses Up As Aurora From Child Of Light, Because Why Not?

Sherman

She's bad because she's bad playing, @darthllama. I'm not against the songs she chooses to cover, a lot of them are great, but she's bad playing them. Her violind sounds bad, I mean it. Just need to listen to realize that. Well, maybe it's her violin, but it sounds so out of tune, bad, just bad. Listen to other players and you'll agree with me. And there's where the "gimmicks" get into play: A lot of people won't go and listen to some other better players just because she's "cute" and "nerdy". I never said she was wrong using gimmicks. That actually makes her a very smart girl and have my respect as an entertainer. Thanks to that she managed to be this famous, have people to defend her and have them given up any chance to even think there might be someone better than her out there. If I have to chose something I really don´t like about here, that would be all the jumping and kicking and weird moves she makes. What's up with that?

Re: New 3DS System Update 7-2-0-17 Now Live

Sherman

Took my 63 NES games and put them on a pile. On top of that my 42 SNES games and on top of that my 35 N64 games and on top of that my 15 3DS games. And waaaay up of that my 3DS... I swear it has never been this stable

Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour With Nintendo Life

Sherman

Maybe if you play again, @Prof_Clayton, now that I have my shadow uploaded you can see me
Well, I've played all the Nintendo tournaments online yesterday and got all my free goodies. I didn't exactly played, was more like a speed run just to get the free stuff, I have only one day to play them all, but I'll definetally play better the next ones. Extra time even for extra tries

Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour in the NLife Masters

Sherman

Exactly my thought, @DRL
I need more power than skill now. Scored one eagle, one par and sixteen birdies on my first practice run on the Forest Course. Can't imagine what I could've done with a star character! Which is what I know I need now. I so wan't a Mii tourney though. At least it will be as even as it can gets and thus, rely on skill alone

Congrats, @ThomasBW84. Very late but congrats, my man. It was very clear this was coming sooner or later.

Awesome pic, specially the "Walker" chips. I find it curious how some brands change their name in different regions. Like in North America:

Spain:

And my country, México:

Or that "Thomas". Here in México is:

Re: Mario Golf: World Tour Hits a Bogey in UK Charts

Sherman

This game is awesome!! But the word "golf" is just repulsing to a lot of people. They just won't give it a chance and that's the end of it. And some people have tried Mario Golf but it's not their thing. They just want to shoot people's heads. And no matter how great and well this game is done, people, without even ever seeing the game will say it's the worst game ever or that the last thing they would do is to play/buy a golf game. It's the simple and stupid truth.

Re: Mario Golf: World Tour’s DLC Isn't Locked Away in the Main Game

Sherman

I bought this game a few days ago. May 10th, to be precise. It was mothers day here in México. I had no money, 'cause of... mothers day. Then I saw this game in particular was a little cheaper than any other 3DS's Mario game. Thanks to that I had enough money to buy it. Had a blast this weekend!!
Thanks to that lower price I had the chance to buy it. Is it an incomplete game? Yes, but completing it will cost you the original price at the end, and not as much as any other over priced game!!
It gives you two choices:
One, to buy it cheap and as soon as you can and start participating in tournaments right away and win free prices or, the most important, two, It gives you the choices to have a cheaper version or to have the complete version.at the full price, not overpriced. It's up to you.
And if you decide to go for the cheaper version you still get a lot out of this game! Tons of tournaments and online gaming here to keep you playing for a long time.
If your local store is charging you as regular Mario game, then it's a scam. Look for another store.
P.S.: I just wanna to say this at the end...

It's even cheapper than any other Mario Game if you buy the season pass!!

Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour in the NLife Masters

Sherman

Since I've only played in online tournaments so far, I haven't unlocked any star/secret character. So, the only way I'm gonna have a chance in any NL tourney is by unlocking or by voting "only mii". In my "get your initial handicap" run managed to score -18. Not bad, but that's only good against only Miis. But sooner on later I'll be up there with all of you, guys =D

By the way, played the World Tournament #1. First place has a -26... how the hell can someone score -26 on 18 holes!!?? That's insane!! And of course, here I missed as a drunk man misses the toilet and scored a -10.

Re: Play: Mario Golf: World Tour With Nintendo Life

Sherman

Just popped the game in my 3DS after spending the day with my mom, (it's mother's day here in México, don't know if in other countries as well), selected my Mii and downloading an update to get into tournaments. I'm going in with my starter Mii as is and play my first game here. I know my Mii must be very weak compared to these "star" chars, but I don't care. As long as I finish in negatives I'll be one happy guy =D

Re: Nintendo Quashes Rumours Of New Hardware At E3 2014

Sherman

Was there anyone out there thinking Nintendo was gonna show any new hardware? Really? Really!!?? It makes no sense!!
Even when you know a company is working on new hardware it takes 2+ years to be shown. But now, a rumor comes out about Nintendo working on the next console and everyone thinks they're gonna show it a few weeks later. C'mon! Even if they're working on it, it's pretty clear they won't be showing anything.
Add to that the fact that Nintendo is working on Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. Those are big games, are the ones that sell consoles. The ONLY course of action is to wait and see how those games sell consoles. If not, then you can show something new.
I mean, the single act of showing a new console would be the Wii U's death. This time for good. Every one would just say "So... I was gonna give the Wii U a chance, but now that they've shown the next one, I'll just wait".

Re: Guide: Using Nintendo Network ID On Your 3DS

Sherman

No, I know the difference, @tripunktoj. We deleted the NNID only, that's why she kept everythig previous to the linking. But if everything after the linking and as you say now, everything after the linking gets saved within the NNID, you can format, buy some stuff and then link the NNID, get your stuff back and keep the new stuff, right?

Back there, in December, the NNID didn't suck previous DLC. But if you say it does it now, then what I wrote can be possible.

Re: Guide: Using Nintendo Network ID On Your 3DS

Sherman

No, @tripunktoj. When we deleted her account she kept Colors!3D, Kid Icarus, etc. Everything she already had previous to the linking. That was last december. I don't know if by now those get deleted if if you link and then delete the NNID since you mention that effectively, now games get "suck" by the NNID (we should patent that term XD)

Well, you could get the stuff you need to get with the NNID, the it would get stored ther, format, get stuff from other region, link and get the new stuff "sucked" and everything gets stored in the same NNID. Thus making possible to unlink everytime you want without losing your DLC. But, I guess this works fot people who don't care about the Plaza, Friend list, the Log, etc.

I was interested in getting 4 Swords from a DSi or another 3DS, but I don't think you can only traspass the one game, can't you? At least not with 3DS to 3DS transfer.

Anyway, I made my NNID account yesterday. This was to good to let it go. I think this is why Nintendo did this, so we all belong to them forever. And I wanted that Bravely Default demo so bad to, so I caved XD

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition Available For Free Right Now in North America

Sherman

@ted-k

I know! But this and the Bravely Default demo were too good to let them go. I was so hyped with Miiverse, but when as soon as I heard about all those damn restrictions... God! I got so mad. It's just stupid. Plain Stupid.

Oh, and I wish they remove the use limitations on demos too. I thought this wasn't going to apply to Bravely Default since it has different content and if I wanna play the game over and over I should be able to do the same with the demo as well.

I better stop here or I'll be ranting forever.

Re: Guide: Using Nintendo Network ID On Your 3DS

Sherman

@tripunktoj

Thanks, man. Very helpful. I knew you could unlink the NNID by formating the 3DS, but I was talking about something like logging out.
I knew that once linked to the eShop every title from there on would belong to that account. That's why, before my little sis bought the Oracle's Zelda, I made her delete her account. Then bought the games and now, if she creates a new account, when deleted (if she has to) the games will remain in the console. Well, at least it was like this around christmas. I don't know if by now, if a link my 3DS all of my games before the linking NNID-eShop will be "sucked" by the NNID. Will they?
What I didn't know was that a can format the 3DS to unlink, then link again and download all I had in my account. If that's the case, and if I can link my before NNID games to the NNID, then that would be awesome!
Link 3DS, link games, format 3DS, change region, buy, reverse region, repeat!
But, even if this is possible, I guess I'd lost my friend code and my friend list and a lot of stuff. Or does this get stored to?
I want so bad the free 4 Swords, but this would mean forced linked.
By the way, you can get the Nintendo Cards at Gamer'... i don't know if I can post the retail store name XD

Re: Guide: Using Nintendo Network ID On Your 3DS

Sherman

@tripunktoj
Well, maybe eShop exclusive titles are a little cheaper, but not the retail ones.
Retail games are very expensive compared to the price in USA. So, now no one in all America can buy in the North American eShop. That sucks. And what about those eShop cards? I can only get the 200 and 500 pesos. If you wanna buy a game on sale, let's say about 50 pesos, you are still forced to spend 200 pesos.

What if I'm moving to another country? I can't change my region on my 3DS without missing some of the system features.
This is something I don't know, so I'm asking: If I get to use Miiverse, do they toss me with only people from the same country? If "yes", this suck 'cause I've made good friends through Swapnote from all over the world... Swapnote... another bad call there, Nintendo.
And last (before I forget, because I just started ranting without even noticing it, but still I'm gonna post it all of it): Can a Nintendo Network ID be deattached from a 3DS? If so, what happens then?

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition Available For Free Right Now in North America

Sherman

I refused to get a NNID until now. I think it's idiotic to restrict a console to only one account and even worst to not giving you the option to log out of it unless you delete the occount and then to lose everything... even your Wii U stuff if linked. You need to get that s*** fixed as soon as possible, Nintendo. But damn, I'll get that NNID just for this one. Smart move there, Nintendo. I know this is why you did it.

Re: Review: Mario Party: Island Tour (3DS)

Sherman

"There's also a StreetPass mini-game mode, which we sadly weren't able to enjoy at the time of writing as no one else we knew had the game prior to release."

... You can set up StreetPass with the same cartridge in as many 3DS as you want, @DRL

You don´t need to be playing the game to share... why am I explaining this to a Nintendolife writer? Why do I need to? I feel weird =/

Anyway, if you had one game but several 3DS you could've easily StreetPass using the game's features.

Re: Weirdness: Nintendo of America Unleashes a Peculiar StreetPass Weekend Trailer

Sherman

Well, something happened:

I'm from México and we don't have Nintendo Zones, so I "cheated". Made a hotspot named "attwifi" with my phone and changed my 3DS region United States. Ran the Plaza and accepted the terms. In no time the blue light flickered. Got Tom's me. Just Tom's, but it's something. I guess my "Nintendo Zone" didn't get in contact with the others and didn't get other Miis or something like that. But if you at least want Tom's you can do this.

Edit: Watching the SpillPass note, I guess it doesn't send other miis because this way, the fake Nintendo Zone" doesn't store any data, like other miis and stuff. So, I guess you can only get Tom's, but that's better than nothing. At least he has all puzzle pieces.
