This is really good news and a pleasant surprise they are still continuing with free updates/dlc
Just shows that ultimately the quality of the game has truly shone and not been judged on it's early performance issues. Yes they should have performance patched it sooner, but make no mistake, it is far from the catastrophe haters would lead you to believe and for me, I've found it a joy to play, exactly what I wanted from it and even more!
Although is a bit disappointing that we have finally hit parity but that will soon stop being the case.
@rex_rex
I too have come to accept we get the worst versions on Switch but it does make sense with it being lesser hardware despite some of the offenders being ones that definitely could run on Switch.
For me though, I'm not picking up games on Switch for them to look the best or perform the best, I'm picking them up because it is my console of choice and has the highest chance of me actually playing it, sure I have a capable gaming pc but I'd much rather sit on my sofa or elsewhere playing then at my desk chair.
In answer to your question, it really does not perform that badly, yes it definitely looks worse than the other versions, but I have only encountered a couple of times of frame loss when playing and that is it.
Don't believe the haters for the game as they will lead you to believe it's horrific. Sure it should have been patched sooner for performance(cannot comment on pre patch performance) but in it's current state it performs well and I have found it to be a joy to play.
Witcher is a bit different due to what it was doing, true current gen on Switch performing and looking as good as it does really is a feat.
@graysoncharles Maybe because the game is actually a good one and shouldn't be judged solely on its performance? The performance of which really isn't that bad at all.
@WesEds
Fair do's, your original post came across like how I had perceived.
You are definitely right about EA, I would say I would love them to port the trilogy to the Switch, the trouble is just look at the extortionate price of the Burnout Paradise Remaster?
I think the first skate was pretty much perfect for me and only got improved as the series continued, a positively great first step in a new franchise with being exactly what it needed to be. I can understand your bland point but as the first I feel it's almost allowed that for all the good it was doing.
It sounds like they have revealed more about the latter expansion as opposed to the one coming on the 17th, seems a bit odd. Unless they done this kind of information drop when the video showing expansions first dropped. I honestly can't remember.
@Supadav03 I think the extra legendary Pokemon are actually for the second expansion which is somewhat of a shame. Up to the new Poke is Isle of Armor than that part ends when seeing the new Poke again which is the 2nd part, after that it's a mix.
I would rather they had separate trailer for Isle of Armor than another trailer for the other part, but I get why then done it as they are part of the same expansion pass.
Can we not just be happy that they have actually released this on Switch? For the people that can deal with the alleged performance issues, I am sure they are going to love this as it sounds like a really neat extra which often only appears on hacked games of old. While I haven't yet got round to actually playing it (it remains in my cartridge case) I am excited to finally play it when I do.
Further we all know when we get a game that is multiplatform we do expect it to be worse on Switch and accept it, while this is unfortunate it is expected from the least powerful console.
This however is now reeking of dexit, get over it, if you don't like it go ahead and dislike it, but you don't need to bring it up every time there is an article an slate it like your word or views are gospel. We all have opinions but I can see from slating people have been completely turned off this despite others saying it runs generally fine, which is a shame.

You evidently have a problem with the skate series.
Skateboarding games being like skate is a good thing. It was a cracking series that for some reason has got put on indefinite hiatus.

@crimsontadpoles
One could argue expansions are only ever aimed at existing fans anyway, so I don't think that's an issue
