Yeah I hope we get it too! We need the JRPG love here in PAL regions, the DS was great for RPGs but retailers here in Australasia aren't stocking or importing all the good games that get released in Europe for 3DS, so basically at the moment not many RPGS here.

I'm hoping they release info on DQ VII, Dragon Quest Monsters Terry's Wonderland 3D and Bravely Default, I really want those games localised, the western market really needs those games. I would've assumed we'd have info on DQM by now, since that game came out in japan quite some time ago.

@Hunter-D Whoa! you don't know how long I've been waiting for an eshop/retail release! I've been waiting for at least over 2 years, ever since they announced Cave Story for DSiware (which never came to EU and AU, grrrrrrr!!!!). They said the 3DS download version was meant to be out back in december, they specifically mentioned that it'd be coming to Australia and New Zealand too, so I have no idea what's been keeping them.
Also I've pestered them about it for the last year or so, for an indie dev they sure know how to respond to fans (with silence * sarcasm *).
@Linkstrikesback You're right, but you forgot to mention that the eShop updates on friday in AU&NZ, common mistake I know.
@datamonkey Yes I believe it is the Cave Story+ version, yet apparently it's just called Cave Story for the 3DS version.

As someone who's never played a Harvest Moon game before, should I download Harvest Moon GBC when it comes out on the eshop? What's the game like? have any of you played this version before?

This is one of the best weeks in ages, demos for Monster Hunter? I gotta try before I buy otherwise I abandon if it becomes uninteresting. I hope to buy it though cause I need my RPG fix.

I think these updates are handy and stuff like this is what improves the overall userability. I'm happy for any improvements.

Great news IKR? I made a formal complaint the other day and I guess they caved in, or it's just a matter of co-incidence that all this came to pass. I'm going to post a copy of my email on the forums that i sent to Nintendo of Australia (my local branch), it details basically what Miiversers and PAL gamers have been trying to change.

I guess some of my work didn't go to waste, I'm just gonna post a topic on the forums, just basically the email I sent to Nintendo, why? because I think it may've helped convince nintendo of putting the effort into giving us 60hz games.

I'm playing GoldenSun:Dark Dawn on DS mostly this weekend, maybe a little bit of New Super Mario Bros. U, I still gotta finish that. I recently bought a spare DSi (console, box and all) so I could still play my DS games, my DSi XL's D-pad has had it, so buying the DSi was better than forking out for a full priced XL.

I've never liked any Grand Theft Auto, I don't like how the series drew in Bro gamers and other such people because of the instense amount of sex and violence and also how the series glorified these aspects. I understand that this is a Mature rated series, but I've seen kids, way, way under the recommnded age play these games. Don't get me wrong I have no real deal with people being able to play violent games, but these games severely narrow the options new gamers have, especially the casual types like Bro gamers and as usual, parents have no real control or don't bother to control what their children play, thus when a child picks this game out, they might be exposed to all sorts of stuff.

But anyway, If this game is able to draw in more consumers to buy the WiiU, then go ahead and develop/publish this title for the system, just be aware that the media may attack Nintendo, rather than Microsoft or Sony, about the violence in video games.

I really wish I had the LE Zelda GBA SP, I own The Minish Cap, ALTTP and NES Classics The Legend of Zelda, why don't I own this model??

@JoelFB I have been wondering for some time when we were gonna get Trine 2, our eShop is very slow at getting european and NA games. I'm glad you're bringing your game to our shores here in NZ, a lot of developers forget we're even a country when it comes to localisation (same with australia). Thank you very much, I'll be downloading my second eshop game (after balloon fight) next Friday.

I finished The Denpamen this weekend and the final boss was really hard, but I managed to beat him and now, Denpamen 2! Come on Genius Sonority, I need that sequel!
Just started on Crimson Shroud and I'm having a blast, y'all have a great weekend!

I'm finishing up The Denpamen: They Came by Wave, Great game and great value for money that game, I can't wait until the sequel comes out. After I beat that game i'm back to more New Super Mario Bros U.

@Drobotic Yeah, the first thing I thought was "Is this a rip-off of Thundercats?". Well either way, It's got me interested in the original Thundercats (not the reboot series), I've never watched it mostly because I didn't know it existed before I watched AVGN's videos.

@luminalace THIS. Yeah, I'm not sure on the majority of Nintendo fans playing many FPS', but I don't play them, no way am I obsessed with them. But the more the merrier I guess, I got ZombiU with my WiiU so I guess you could count me along side those Wii/WiiU owners that play FPS'.

I don't see Nintendo buying THQ's assests guys, they're a japanese company and most of THQs IPs don't really follow Nintendos philosophy on video games.

Great Idea Nintendo, why didn't you think of this before? i'm sure it would've been a given obvious reason for people to complain about, it could've been solved before the Wii U was even launched!

I will buy day one if a full compilation is ever produced. MOTHER and MOTHER 2 are my favourites in the series, I didn't really like Mother 3 that much tbh.

I knew this was gonna happen, there was news about Itoi and Iwata a while back saying they had met up again recently, I guess this was about all this. Still though I would rather play the original, it is brilliant.

Well at least I haven't had to complain for a whole month about loading times, I haven't even opened my Wii U yet (cos it's for opening on xmas day).
Hopefully by early january we'll have a fix, but i'm not so sure yet.

Once again, the rest of the world gets exclusive Apps for their home console, but Australia and NZ miss out as usual. You know sometimes I wish companies could just invest and advertise a whole lot more over here, then there wouldn't be any complaining.

I'd rather Sega hurry up with more Game Gear games like Defenders of Oasis and Shining Force: The Sword of Hayja, where are those games? I really want to try them out, except Sega hasn't supported the 3DS eShop that well lately outside of Japan.

What's this game like? Just curious as there's isn't a description in the link above. Though I've never heard of it, the name Tim Schaffer rings a bell, though I've never played any of his games before, but this one looks interesting, i'll keep my eye on it.

I need to finish The Denpamen sometime soon, I want to level them all up to lvl99, hopefully the sequel will allow me to transfer these little critters over.

@Jellitoe Yes, that is a good example, as is Epic Mickey 2, However I feel like Nintendo should be going into maximum overdrive with looking for Third Parties to release their titles across ALL platforms at the same time. I know they've said recently that they would like to work closely with other developers, but they can only do so much and we reallly need the Wii U to become more successful. Calling the Wii U successful at the moment is a bit too early to say, what with devs dismissing the Wii U as not being next gen or just not powerful enough because of the CPU.

@Sean_Aaron I'm not sure USB headsets will work....Headsets compatible or made for the Wii U plug directly on top of the Wii U gamepad, so it's unlikely the USB will work.

I don't get it, why release a movie game like a year after the flick has come out? I know that The Amazing Spiderman game isn't solely based on the movie, but if we are gonna get PS3 or 360 ports, they should be out at the same time, looks like our new console is gonna suffer in terms of third party support for the next year.

I'm so letting this be my first download when I open my Wii U on Xmas, I'm just wondering though, is any headphone with mic support compatible with Wii U voice chat? if they are then I'll just use some cellphone headphones with a mic.

I'm definitely gonna get Crimson Shroud, but unfortunately I'm still playing The Denpamen, I don't think Crimson Shroud will trump The Denpamen, although I think it'll be a tie more like it.

Wouldn't you think it'd be ridiculous to buy more than 3 games for your Wii U? I mean do people really get through games at such a fast rate? I bought 3 games including Nintendo Land with my Premium Bundle, ZombiU and also New Super Mario Bros. U (gettn for xmas), but It's gonna take me a while to get through them all. I think Nintendo is definitely making a profit, there's no doubt about that, but I still think the selection of games could've been better. Pikmin 3 should've been out and maybe Game & Wario too, I mean Nintendo had a Warioware game at launch of the wii, so I can't see why they couldn't have made launch.

Seems like a very interesting game, too bad I've never played the first, though if I felt like it I could probably download it on steam to give it a go.

I've never heard of Spike TV nor of the VGAs. What utter garbage, Kid Icarus Uprising, RE: Revelations, New Super Mario Bros 2. should all have gotten awards. Man, I am soooooo lucky we don't have VG award shows down under, But like anyone here in NZ gives a crap about Nintendo, if they did I would be the most popular kid in the neighbourhood. Also, I am so glad that COD BO2 didn't get any awards, COD games should burn and die for all I care, i'm so glad it didn't get the attention it surely doesn't deserve.

@Tsuchiya How is it excessive? well how many games can you play at one god damn time? i'm surprised I can sit through one game at a time these days, let alone be focused on more than 2. Besides I have games I've bought that I haven't even played yet and I'm getting a Wii U for christmas. You told me to explain further so there you go.

@Malic Actually I have good taste, maybe you don't like Other M and that's your opinion. Besides I like it for the actual gameplay not the story, however the story is good just not the voice acting.

@PinkSpider I have a feeling that most review sites either 1.) Didn't spend a whole heap of time, got really stuck and have played a ton of "better" FPS zombie games or 2.) They just hate real Survival Horror games and just suck hard at them.
Well either way, horror themed games are usually very niche and I'm not surprised that "hardcore" gamer review sites rated it lower than Nintendo Life, for one thing, ZombiU is on a Nintendo platform, if it had been on the 360 or PS3 it would've got higher reviews perhaps. But like any shooter on the 360 or PS3, once people have played it, it usually sits on their shelves gathering dust, while gamers look forward to a better shooter.

I was getting this no matter what the review score would've been, played a demo of it only about a month ago and it was pretty sweet.The added bonus is I've become more deeply interested in horror movies lately and I recently watched Night of the Living Dead and Boris Karloffs' The Indestructible Man (the main character is more or less a zombie, but the word zombie isn't what I'd exactly describe him as being as).
Can't wait until I pick this game up though, good review by the way Joel!

Im getting the Premium Bundle + ZombiU and New Super Mario Bros. U. I think anyone getting more than two games at launch is being a little excessive, Well technically I'm getting three, but since I've never really bothered with the 'Wii' Series games, I don't see how that's gonna change with NintendoLand, but oh well i'll give it a try.
