Pretty solid line-up, I'd say! I'll be getting the Deluxe version with Nintendo Land, and get New Super Mario Bros. U and ZombiU with it, and maybe Sonic & All-Stars Racing. Then a Pro Controller and maybe a headset, and I'm all set!
I think that I will get Nintendo land, NSMBU and Sonic and all stars racing transformed, but I will also try to see if I should nab Tank! Tank! Tank! This is one of the best launch lineups ever! Can't wait!
About the same as America's list
Already sitting comfy for BLOPS2, AC3, Darksiders 2, NSMBU, Sonic All Stars, Batman and obviously NintendoLand.
Trine 2 and Lil' Inferno are on the list too.
Got a clan set up ready so hopefully I'll see some of my fellow Brits online for some friendly competition
I'll just get the deluxe/premium-bundle for now. Nintendo Land should keep me occupied for a while. But very good line-up - I would say it's better than what 3DS and even Wii had, although many of those multiplatform-games apparently have framerate-problems.
24 games. GANGNAM STYLE GAME NEEDED
what about da eshop?
Going for black ops 2, nsmbU and of course nintendoland. What's everyone going to buy:)?
Edit: of course trine 2 as well as toki tori 2 from eshop:D
I have never played Tekken before, does anyone recommend Tag Tournament 2 to a n00b like me?
@Gangnam-Sam That would be Just Dance 4?
Of this list, I'm interested in:
Just Dance 4
Rabbids Land
Tank! Tank! Tank!
Not enough to buy the console, especially as JD4 is multiplatform.
No Scribblenauts sucks
Will be getting Mario, Tekken and ZombiU along with NintendoLand, Little Inferno and Nano Assault Neo.
So Scribblenauts is delayed for Australia, too? Sucks. Preordered it for my girlfriend, cos she loved the iPad version.
Strange enough, in Germany 'Epic Mickey 2' is missing on the list. -.-
wow! the Wii U finely released in Europe! I hope the Wii U is good
Mmm mmm mmm, loving that line up. NintendoLand, NSMBU and Sonic ASRT are day one.
And possibly, Little Inferno, Nano Assault and Trine 2!!!
Still on the fence for AC3 though
I'm reluctant to get Tekken, only because I want Tecmo to port Dead or Alive 5 over to the Wii U (I loved Dimensions on 3DS).
Games that I definitely intend on getting are NSMBU, Nintendo Land and I'm still on the fence about Black Ops II (I've never played any Call of Duty game prior aside from World at War on DS).
Good. Premium including Nintendo Land. NSMBU, Tank! Tank! Tank!, Tekken TT2, Sonic & ASRT. Gutted Scribblenauts U only coming next year for the EU (used to EU getting bummed regularly now thou). Going to get Epic Mickey 2 on the Wii and play it "upscaled" (I know its not "up-res'd") on the Wii U console. A fw of tech issues with EM2 so I'll just get the low priced version
I'll get Zombie U, Tekken Tag 2 and Sonic all stars racing transformed!
Trine 2 is also a must have on day one!
Absolutely can't wait! Sold ps3 4 weeks ago and am dying to have a gaming session. Premium pack with zombiu. Black ops2 and super Mario preordered at my local HMV and I'm first on the preorder list!
Getting a Premium console with Nintendo Land, and other than that have New Super Mario Bros Wii U, Zombi U and Epic Mickey 2 preordered. Interested in Tank! Tank! Tank! but would like to see reviews first. Also have Rayman Legends preordered, I'm a little disappointed it didn't make the launch but oh well, will be something good to play at the start of next year and gives me a chance to finish Rayman Origins off properly Some other good games there but I've already got Batman Arkham City and (more recently) Assassins Creed 3 on PS3 so little point me getting Wii U versions of those. Will also definitely be downloading Nano Assault Neo as soon as my bank balance recovers a bit.
@LEGEND_MARIOID Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed apparently has some tech issues too, just worth bearing in mind...seem to recall the Official Nintendo Mag complaining of slowdown etc when they played a pre release build a month or so back.
I'm just gonna get the ZombiU premium for now unless I can afford to buy Darksiders II aswel
@ToxieDogg thanks dude. Am a ware of that. Read the Gamepsot revw which goes into it in some small detail. The noises are that it still a good racer and the bugs may be patched up, hopefully. The IGN PS3 and OXM reviewers actually tweeted that they prefered the Wii U version for some reason too.
Getting zombie, nsmbu and black ops 2.
Also probably all eshop games.Roll on Thursday midnight launch woo hoo.
waiting for pikmin 3...playing zombiU now...its damn hard the game...have nsmbu, black ops 2 and darksiders 2...just broke the gamepad while playing zombiU lol
I've got premium pack preordered at grainger, zombiiu pack preordered at game, plus nintendoland and nsmbu! Just in case I one is sold out, sad I know but I need the console on launch day...
I've paid for New Super Mario Bros. U and ZombiU.
Now just gotta choose one of the third party ports to replace my Scribblenauts Unlimited preorder, and decide whether I want to buy another on top of that.
And then there's all the eShop games.
I got the ZombiU premium pack pure ordered from HMV, so I'll be going down early next Friday to get it. Will get Black Ops 2, NSMBU and maybe one more. Which I'm thinking will be FIFA 13 or AC3.
NSMBU, ZombiU and Black Ops 2 for sure, and probably also Arkham City, AC3 and ME3, just so I'll finally be able to talk to my friends about games.
Wii Freeze U!
This lineup of games is perfect for me, as one who does not own other HD consoles.
Since the 3DS launch, I learned that many professional review sites are biased against Nintendo. So I take most reviews with a large grain of salt.
I do deplore the way IGN and Gamespot have degenerated since the Gamecube era.
Im getting the Premium Bundle + ZombiU and New Super Mario Bros. U. I think anyone getting more than two games at launch is being a little excessive, Well technically I'm getting three, but since I've never really bothered with the 'Wii' Series games, I don't see how that's gonna change with NintendoLand, but oh well i'll give it a try.
@RetroGBHippie92 I'm getting ZombiU bundle + NSMBU and ACIII. I agree with you on Nintendo Land, but it's nice to notice that some youtubers like SeaNanners and SSoHPKC are saying that is real fun.
Really good choice of games. I've not pre-ordered a Wii-u as I need to sort out some decent internet access before i get one. The access i got is (just about) OK for d/loading 3DS/Wii VC/3DSware etc games, but dowlnloading a large system update, or presumably much bigger Wii U shop games would be a problem. Will stick with my trusty old Wii and 3DS for a while, probably till Pikmin 3 arrives.
@RetroGBHippie92
How is purchasing more than 2 games at launch considered excessive?
It's personal choice. Please explain Sir.
Pretty good list, there's a good 6-7 titles that interest me,so I'll probably ask for a couple at launch. And get the rest after Christmas in the sales.
I'm not happy because there's no Pikmin 3 and no WiiFitU! Still I've got 4 on that list to buy and another 2 possibilities!
I too was hoping for Wii Fit U at launch since I traded Wii Fit Plus in last week. Getting the basic bundle on pre-order from Amazon and a new 3TB media drive to replace my existing 2TB one and use that for Wii U storage.
I also would like to know what download-only software we can look forward to.
If u traded your other HD consoles many years ago, more than 2 or 3 games at launch for the Wii U is far from excessive. As for the rest of launch window I will be getting Scribblenauts U, Wii Fit U, Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, Game and Wario and possibly Wonderful 101. One or two of those will probably not make the launch window in the EU though. Maybe also Lego City Undercover and DC Injustice in the ineviteable summer quiet period.
@LEGEND_MARIOID Ah, good, good. Should be a decent racer then. With me and Epic Mickey 2...I nearly went for the Xbox 360 version, but my OCD kicked in and because I've already got the original Epic Mickey on Wii and should be getting the 3DS version soon, I felt the need to 'keep it Nintendo', and so Wii-U version with HD graphics it is I can take a bit of slowdown, it wasn't like the blasted camera on the first Epic Mickey wasn't slow enough already (still enjoyed playing it though )
For the future, asides from Rayman Legends, I've also got Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101 and Lego City Undercover on preorder, will likely grab Game & Wario too but like with Tank! Tank! Tank! I'd like to see some more info about it first.
@Sean_Aaron
You know you can only use upto 2TB right?
Or am I reading you wrong?
I'm currently half asleep.
Even though I am interested in the launch titles, I feel that they're too violent and Nintendo failed to balance out the line-up with more family-friendly titles for the holiday season.
Also, where's the 3DS line-up for Christmas? I feel like the 3DS is being neglected this holiday season to instead focus on the Wii U. I think Luigi's Mansion 2 would have been a great release for the holidays.
@Tsuchiya How is it excessive? well how many games can you play at one god damn time? i'm surprised I can sit through one game at a time these days, let alone be focused on more than 2. Besides I have games I've bought that I haven't even played yet and I'm getting a Wii U for christmas. You told me to explain further so there you go.
@RetroGBHippie92 Yeah, I'm kind of with you. I'm trying to balance Paper Mario and Crashmo on 3DS with NLand & NSMBU and it's like I flit from one to the next without ever going deeeep into one. I try to play one game per system at a time, but it's hard when so much excellent stuff is out! Not to mention there's a dozen other games I'd love to have but haven't bought yet, due to time. Keep that focus alive! It's a rare and diminishing thing these days.
And good luck Euro-gamers! The U is an awesome system. I'll look forward to your Miiverse doodles soon...
@RetroGBHippie92
Well obviously we can only play one game at a time. That kinda goes without saying really but I'd hardly call it excessive building a collection of more than 2 games at launch or at anytime. Blimey, you don't like 2+ games? You'd combust around my collection then!
It's nearly Christmas and the launch line up is strong. Don't be a humbug!
I won't be getting a Wii U for a while but the launch games that interest me are New super Mario bros. U and Nintendo land.
I'll buy my Wii u next year, but I may buy some games in advance. You know, because I don't want to miss them! So let's see: Darksiders 2, maybe Assasin's creed 3, maybe batman, maybe tekken, maybe (just maybe) Mass effect, Mario can be purchased next year since it will be available for eternity, and maybe ZombiU. Yeah, a lot of "maybe baby's" but that's just how it goes!
From the Epic Mickey 2 Wii u version I heard that it has some slowdown. Besides, the game gets terrible reviews on Wii, Xbox360, and PS3. I guess I'll pass!
@Tsuchiya I'm sorry, either you're my dentist or you're a spoilt little mommy's boy, that gets everything he/she asks for! Assuming £40 per retail disc game, that's £240 in one sitting, I'm sorry but that is excessive. add that to the £300 for the console, plus the two eShop titles, were looking at roughly £600...I call troll.
I mean wouldn't it be more sensible to get a couple of games at launch, play them, and wait for a drop on the others?
