@HarmoKnight i'm 20 and even though I don't usually have the need to take my 3DS with me wherever I go, I'm not afraid to open my 3DS out in public and play, especially when we are away on holiday or visiting relatives. Normal people just need to realise that there are us Ninty fans who aren't wee little kids, because you know not everyone chats on Nintendo life.

He always predicts price drops and sales etc, but in fact he doesn't seem to understand their strategy at all and never gets it right. I watch his videos from time to time, but I'm always rolling my eyes because he is such a hypocrite. When I mean he's a hypocrite, I mean he's nearly always dissing Nintendo and their strategies, but he has a ton of DS or other nintendo products sitting behind him like he's a fanboy.

While I'll try anything Nicalis would have put out, I'm really hoping they don't break their promise of releasing Cave Story on eShop here in PAL territory. @Philip_J_Reed WelI I would download something, but unfortunately Cave Story is not out yet, but rest assured bro, I am buying Marvel Pinball 3D before friday, it's still on sale on the eShop. Really loved the demo and learning how to get skill shots and being patient too, it helps to be patient with pinball, at least that's what I've learnt.
I think most people on this topic agree on the same thing and that's achievements no longer have any true meaning. My love of video games isn't exactly nostalgia based, but I prefer a system that isn't always doing the same thing as the rest of the industry. Nintendo knows what they're doing, they are the leaders of the industry, it's just nobody that doesn't play a nintendo system, has the guts to admit it.
The only thing I'd like Nintendo to do is allow you to customise your Mii. Maybe Nintendo could allow you to unlock clothes etc to customise your Mii by actually beating the game once through, instead of finding a specific way using an achievement based system. That way, when people look at your Mii on Miiverse, they know "oh he bet SSB4!" or " he bet Metroid 5, he must of collected all the power-ups" etc
Nintendo doesn't need achievements. I think by the sound of it, miiverse might be the thing we need. We can use it to brag about specific things and not like on 360, where all achievements are designed by the developers, who are only out to make money, at least Nintendo cares enough not to copy.
@Barbiegurl777 Considering the low price compared to more higher quality 3DS games, I guess you get what you pay for, but in all seriousness I've never liked gross-out cartoons or toys. I used to like Crazy Bones as a kid, but that's completely different and they were actually popular back when I was in primary school. I know how companies lure kids into buying bad products and often it revolves around gross stuff or stuff that kids think older siblings enjoy like monsters, aliens etc. That's how Nintendo hooked me on Pokemon when it originally came out...except pokemon is great and stands the test of time and this game doesn't and won't.

I don't know whether I'm gonna gt a Wii U or not, depends if i'm gonna be alive to experience it again, I've demoed it already, but yeah... I probably won't transfer my stuff, wouldn't your wii become ultimately useless if you just transferred everything over? It just seems to me that the wii won't be enjoyed for what it was, years from now and everybody will refer to it as 'That console' since everybody will be able to play their games on the Wii U and not have to use their old Wii. I didn't spend $400 on my Wii for it then become absolutely useless after 6 years of owning it.
Where is Cave Story+? Nicalis definitely confirmed it for Q4, now what? this is getting ridiculous, either we are all getting the great 3DSware in december or they're just afraid to lose money on our region.... thank the australian government for not having the ratings thing sorted out and the costs of localizing lowered.
Meanwhile, we're meant to be getting Aeroporter from level 5 this month and then Crimson shroud next month, but it seems only level 5 has managed to spread out their releases, unlike Nintendo and Nicalis, whom we are still waiting on The Denpamen: They came by Wave, Cave Story+ and NightSky.

Uggh Australian leglisation is BS!! Why should it have to affect us too? This is the problem when two countries share a Entertainment & Software Ratings board, it's stupid, incoherent and obtuse. Hurry up Australia and sort this out! Why do they have to pay $2000? that's quite a risk since any game on a download platform isn't necessarily gonna make it up and more. This is why the Australian eShop is slow, broken and worse than the europe eShop, at least they've got more 3DSware, though not necessarily great.
I hope Monster Shooter arrives in our eShop, even if it is more of one of those shovelware-esque type games, to me it looks pretty fun. I normally buy the good eshop titles, but if we get it on friday I may just download that and maybe Hana Samurai, i've been meaning to play that.

Have any of you actually played a Wii U yet? maybe a demo unit or at a expo/comic con? I've played some very good games like Zombi U and New Super Mario Bros. U and even if we don't know anything about Miiverse just yet, it's not going to sway me from getting the console.
Zombi U has notifications etc and hopefully in the full game maybe achceivements? look Miiverse to me looks cheap and we haven't seen much of it yet either, so I can't comment any further until i get the actual console or see the Nintendo direct.

I hate Angry Birds, period. The most boring "video game" in history, hell I personally IMO wouldn't give it any credit for being a video game. Although I own an iPod, I never use it to play games, it's not what an MP3 player is for anyway. Why on earth Nintendo is allowing this dev to publish these glorified iPhone apps as a "video game" is beyond me.
Where's cave story? I'm glad vvvvvv is out now and I was immensely happy about this weeks Nintendo direct and eshop offerings, I just would like to see Nintendo keep this up and I'm glad we're eventually getting The Denpamen and some more games like Nano Assault Ex, which never got released here in retail format. Congratulations Nintendo, you won me back yet again!!
This version was confirmed to be coming to EU and AU several months ago, also I've been waiting for a handheld version since the DSiware version. Now all of you are beginning to grumble, hey i've tried my best to ask Nicalis when it's coming put here, if you want to try be my guest.
@TysonQ7 I don't think another version of Kirby's Air Ride will happen, Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Air Ride, resigned from Nintendo after making that game and formed his own studio, Sora Ltd, which helped make Super Smash Bros Brawl and Kid Icarus Uprising.
This is the line up I expected last week, oh well, I'm sure Nintendo can compensate by giving us Denpamen AND Cave Story+ next week.... Seriously I don't want to be waiting months or years for these titles, it was bad enough for the DSiware version of CS to not arrive like intended, in PAL territories.

Which is usually the best comic-con to go to in America? San Diego or NYC? I want to know because I may visit America next year and I'm not at all familiar with those gaming events. I live in New Zealand and we only have one Pop culture/gaming expo called the Armageddon Expo and it's held around the main cities, the Auckland one is held around October and that's probably the biggest in our country. I've been to 4 of these expos in our capital, Wellington and they're not as big as the Auckland Armagedon. I'm hopefully going to this years Auckland event, my favourite voice actor, Charles Martinet, is coming to NZ for the first time!
The Australian eShop has let us down this week unfortunately, nothing for us to download, Next week is decent enough, VVVVVV, Mole Mania and Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, but VVVVVV really should've been here the same day as Europe...just really disappointing.....
Nintendo doesn't seem to like to offer any hints that any games that are released on Americas eshop are going to come over to PAL regions. I have no idea what Nintendo of Australia really wants to achieve with theirs because there are hardly any must have downloads and The Denpamen is one of those games I want localized here more than Cave Story+.
If I ever get a Wii U i'll get Bayonetta 2, If it comes with a director's cut of the first game that would be awesome, but I'm not too worried about not having played the first game. I'm not against the 360/PS3, it's just that I don't have the time or money to buy and support three consoles, that's why I have the cheapest, my Wii.
I can't wait until this makes it over to PAL territory, we gotta have some good downloadable RPGs here or else i'm gonna be stuck with mostly platformers and/ puzzle games on our eShop.

I hate Angry Birds, period. The most boring "video game" in history, hell I personally IMO wouldn't give it any credit for being a video game. Although I own an iPod, I never use it to play games, it's not what an MP3 player is for anyway. Why on earth Nintendo is allowing this dev to publish these glorified iPhone apps as a "video game" is beyond me.

Where's cave story? I'm glad vvvvvv is out now and I was immensely happy about this weeks Nintendo direct and eshop offerings, I just would like to see Nintendo keep this up and I'm glad we're eventually getting The Denpamen and some more games like Nano Assault Ex, which never got released here in retail format. Congratulations Nintendo, you won me back yet again!!

@TysonQ7 I don't think another version of Kirby's Air Ride will happen, Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Air Ride, resigned from Nintendo after making that game and formed his own studio, Sora Ltd, which helped make Super Smash Bros Brawl and Kid Icarus Uprising.

This is the line up I expected last week, oh well, I'm sure Nintendo can compensate by giving us Denpamen AND Cave Story+ next week.... Seriously I don't want to be waiting months or years for these titles, it was bad enough for the DSiware version of CS to not arrive like intended, in PAL territories.

Which is usually the best comic-con to go to in America? San Diego or NYC? I want to know because I may visit America next year and I'm not at all familiar with those gaming events. I live in New Zealand and we only have one Pop culture/gaming expo called the Armageddon Expo and it's held around the main cities, the Auckland one is held around October and that's probably the biggest in our country. I've been to 4 of these expos in our capital, Wellington and they're not as big as the Auckland Armagedon. I'm hopefully going to this years Auckland event, my favourite voice actor, Charles Martinet, is coming to NZ for the first time!

The Australian eShop has let us down this week unfortunately, nothing for us to download, Next week is decent enough, VVVVVV, Mole Mania and Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, but VVVVVV really should've been here the same day as Europe...just really disappointing.....

Nintendo doesn't seem to like to offer any hints that any games that are released on Americas eshop are going to come over to PAL regions. I have no idea what Nintendo of Australia really wants to achieve with theirs because there are hardly any must have downloads and The Denpamen is one of those games I want localized here more than Cave Story+.

If I ever get a Wii U i'll get Bayonetta 2, If it comes with a director's cut of the first game that would be awesome, but I'm not too worried about not having played the first game. I'm not against the 360/PS3, it's just that I don't have the time or money to buy and support three consoles, that's why I have the cheapest, my Wii.

I can't wait until this makes it over to PAL territory, we gotta have some good downloadable RPGs here or else i'm gonna be stuck with mostly platformers and/ puzzle games on our eShop.
