Looks awesome, but I'm somewhat disturbed at the resemblence to Ghosts & Goblins. All that game brought me are memories of severe pain and frustration.
I would conclude with the same answer as Adam, considering HVS. The Conduit does look good and seems to control fine, but the level design doesn't look particularly interesting. I just wish there was more color to it and today's FPSs and 3rd-person shooters (TPS). They only seem content on the colors brown, gray, black, and dull greens.
@Semnat Daniel You said that similar side scrolling games, like Metal Slug and Gunstar Heroes, have about the same amount of levels as this game. Are the levels about the same in length as well? I am asking on a time basis here, so like 5 mins. or about 15?
So basically this game is like a sort of make-your-own-fighting game. Looks really cool and what not and the video was certainly impressive. I'll keep an eye on this one to be sure.
@everyone giving out YT addresses Saw both KnucklesSonic8's and Objection_Blaster's. Mine is beastman93FZero. I also like to watch DEMON's videos. They're pretty honest and in-depth so I like to see them on the games I'm interested in.
@Chicken Brutus MM1 is so easy! I still haven't finished 2 or 9 yet because of difficulty level. I think 9 is easier than 2 though.
@Topic This could be a good game, but I can't buy it as I need all the money I can get to buy Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.
Must buy for me. Cannot wait for this game. Wonder how the soundtrack will sound? Hopefully it will have chanting (see Halo or Metroid Prime openings). It just sounds very heavenly or god-like.
Still won't buy this even though it is a platformer. Can I have at least 16-bit, please? Why is every dev avoiding the 16-bit generation on WiiWare? Or how about Neo Geo quality graphics? Despite size limitations, it would be totally worth it to me. Why must my love of all things 2D be crushed by devs who want 8-bit or Atari level graphics? I am looking forward to Eduardo the Samurai Toaster mainly because of this. I would love to see some high quality 2D 16-bit or above graphics on WiiWare.
I do like halibut, but I think karp sounds better than carp. Plus they're all bones anyway (the carp that is). Then again crappie is fun to say.
Anyway, I think this game is rather boorish (another word that is fun to say). I will stick to good humour (note the "u") and keep my head out of the gutter.
@Stuffgamer1 You thought HIGHLY of the people at Newgrounds at some point!? HA! Even people at Newgrounds hate the other people at Newgrounds (see Kirbopher)!
Anyway, on topic. This game gets incredibly hard later on as said before. Not unbeatable but pretty damn hard. Also I knew it would be hard with the Ghosts & Goblins style intro.
At least they're not puzzlers! Still saying this is the best WiiWare racing game isn't that great seeing as all it had to beat was the god-awful SPOGS. Also a lot of people are saying MUSHA is awesome yet I have no idea why. I guess it's time to see it in action on YouTube.
@Viral I feel your pain. You can only hope that with the recent success of Fire Emblem over here in the states that Ninty will maybe translate the other Fire Emblems and send em over here. They would probly be in DS cart form though as that would make more money than the VC ever would. Hopefully if FE: Shadow Dragon does good then Ninty will get the message of translating the rest.
This and Bit Tech are the only games I must have for WiiWare. I mainly want this one because it is a platformer, a genre that WiiWare is strangely devoid of...
@Riverman Jacob What were your inspirations on this game? You said for MadStone that you were inspired by 16-bit gaming in general. That's why you said the game sounded somewhat retro. Reading the description it sounds like a mix of Mario Bros. arcade and Smash T.V.
I think I'm the only one who liked Aerofighter's Assault. Which is sad because it was actually a very good flight-sim game for the N64. A system that needs so many more games on the VC.
I bet the game will be out as a double release with Duke Nukem Forever. Then that way they can frustrate more gamers with it only being out on WiiWare. jk of course!

Re: Review: Tales of Symphonia
Best RPG ever IMO. Chrono Trigger 2nd and Fire Emblem being 3rd.
Re: EA: Dead Space heading to Wii
Holy awesome shnikes! As a survival-horror fan who only owns Wii, but no 360/PS3, this is fantastic news to me!
Re: New Play Control! Metroid Prime is HOT.
Already have it and love it on my GC, so I won't buy this one or Prime 2 Redone. I will however probably buy Pikmin 1+2 when they are re-released.
Re: New "The Conduit" Details
Lookin' good, but the levels look really boring and bland.
Re: Review: Disaster: Day of Crisis (Wii)
When will this hit the States? I really want this game.

Re: Animales de la Muerte Officially NOT Coming To WiiWare
Yawn I never cared for this game anyway, it looked stupid IMO.
Re: Hudson's Upcoming WiiWare Games Revealed
@KS8
Yes, I use the Lost Winds time scale.
Re: Hudson's Upcoming WiiWare Games Revealed
Wow...that actually looks pretty good, which means it will be like what, 2 1/2 hours would you say?

Re: Hudson's Upcoming WiiWare Games Revealed
Both sound great to me! I've never played an Adventure Island game before so that would be new to me.
Re: Gaijin Games Interview - Bit.Trip Beat
I seriously cannot wait for this game. One of the very few games I'm excited for on WiiWare.
Re: Gamelion Studios Announces Furry Legends for WiiWare
I'm with Bahamut ZERO, though they lost me with the title.
Re: Artex Studios Developing for WiiWare
I'm with PALgamer on the addition of a track editor. That would fit right into the top-down racer style.
Weapons a-la Spyhunter would be nice too.
Re: Team Meat Interview - Super Meat Boy
@Corbie #22
Except for slippery controls, which will be fixed apparently.
Re: LIT Coming To US WiiWare on February 9th
Hopefully this is good so other devs will be unafraid to release non-puzzle games.
Re: Artex Studios Developing for WiiWare
Strangely for hating puzzle games I do actually like Mahjong. And the top down racer looks somewhat unique compared to the rest of the WiiWare games.
Re: Evasive Space Cleared for February Lift-Off
I with AlexSays on this one, sadly.
Re: New Cave Story Screenshot And Progress Update
Sounds awesome and I can't wait to try it out for myself! I wish more 3rd parties would do this good of a job with retail games.

Re: Want Toki Tori Merchandise? Speak Up Now!
Meh. Cool, but not for me. Liked the game, but wasn't crazy about it.

Must buy for me. Cannot wait for this game. Wonder how the soundtrack will sound? Hopefully it will have chanting (see Halo or Metroid Prime openings). It just sounds very heavenly or god-like.
Re: Pole's Big Adventure Coming To Japanese WiiWare
@ness
I wasn't specifically talking about this game, but the games on WiiWare in general.
Re: Wonder Boy in Monster Land Includes Special Options
Sounds interesting. Does it just enhance sound quality or does it let you make some sounds with it?
Re: Bplus Releases Part Two of Exclusive Soundtrack
^Sort of like flame wars ya know?
100% chance I won't download this, as I do not really wish to.
Re: Pole's Big Adventure Coming To Japanese WiiWare

What's wrong with Conker?

Re: Review: High Voltage Hot Rod Show (WiiWare)
@Shiryu
The amazing Gyrostarr isn't actually that amazing unless you get 3 or 4 players going. With 1 or 2 players it is really boring and repetitive.
Re: EA's Peter Moore Likes World of Goo After All
Don't really care about the subject as it wasn't that big in the first place, but it helps me feel better about myself when I comment.
Re: World of Goo Soundtrack Now Available
Downloaded it. Loving it. Awesome soundtrack overall! I wish more devs would do this with games I actually care about.
Re: Hudson Officially Announces Pop 'Em Drop 'Em Samegame
@Tony
Where do I join?
Re: USA WiiWare Update: High Voltage Hot Rod Show & Family Glide Hockey
@Corbie
You have too much money. Btw, don't those arcade cabinets cost up and over $2500?
@Shadows262
That's good to hear. Twisted Metal-esque, ey? That sounds right up my alley!

You did Marth!?
Seriously though go with Marth.
Anyway this game looks like it would make me POed very quickly. Bet it comes out Monday here in NA.

Oh s***...that's horrible.

Re: Fresh Details About Gravitronix
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Our gorgeous comments about things that are totally unrelated with the subject!
Anyway, about the game. An action battle game that isn't a puzzler is fine by me! No matter how long it takes to make.
Re: Bit.Trip Beat To Bring Classic Arcade Gameplay To WiiWare
MUST BUY THIS GAME NOW!
lol!
Sorry! I'm just a nut when it comes to any type of music/rhythm game.
Re: First Details Of Riverman Media's Next Game
Maybe it will be like Smash T.V....that would be really cool.
Re: Fresh Details About Gravitronix
What is this game about?...or do I even care?
Re: Bit.Trip Beat To Bring Classic Arcade Gameplay To WiiWare
Told ya guys this will be an awesome game*!
