I don't know what brought this up in my mind, but I've been wondering how does everyone here know english? I mean I see tons of people from the likes of Finland, Spain, Holland, and Germany, but I never knew how all of you guys know english. Is english a required course in your respective countries or was it optional?
Sorry for that. Anyway, Cave Story. Yeah, I'm lookin' forward to getting it.
Greatest RPGs ever: 1.Tales of Symphonia 2.Chrono Trigger 3.Final Fantasy I 4.Final Fantasy VI 5.Paper Mario 6.Pokemon Gold 7.Fire Emblem 8.EarthBound 9.Mother 3 10.Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
(An RPG being where you grow levels so Zelda and Castlevania don't count.)
I hated Secret of Mana and SMRPG as they are both quite boring to me. Phantasy Star IV is okay though. Best game this year was probably Metal Slug IMO.
I personally like FPSs, Fighting, Platforming, Racing, Strategy RPG's, and the occasional Shooter but I hate puzzlers. The only puzzlers I like are World of Goo and crosswords. So I'm hoping we do get to see more variety on WiiWare from now on. That is wishful thinking though and I don't see it happening too soon.
@mojo25 -Kirby's Adventure -Super Mario Bros. 3 -Kid Icarus -Paper Mario Those are all a lot of fun. Esp. Kirby's Adventure and Paper Mario. Also: -Sin & Punishment -Lords of Thunder -Gate of Thunder -Axelay -Secret of Mana Those are other very good titles if you don't have them. Just my opinion though, so go for whatever you want.
Hell. If jumping around as a plumber who takes shroomz, flying a starfighter as an anthropomorphic fox, or devouring enemies' souls with a pink marshmallow vacuum cleaner works, then why not a German anthropomorphic rabbit eh*?
Also I hope these guys do future projects and stuff, but I kind of don't want them to do so at the same time. Well, whatever happens, happens. World of Goo is getting the attention it deserves.
yawn...where is the innovation in these games? I mean seriously, besides World of Goo and MAYBE Lost Winds, there has not been any other game to capture my attention except Mega Man 9(which is a sequel that follows a tried and true pattern, but a very good sequel nonetheless ). We need games that bring new elements to the table and escape the norm. World of Goo had amazing art and detail, but it still had the balls to do something different with the tired puzzle genre and it worked phenomenally well for 2D Boy. If all they will offer is generic puzzle games then WiiWare will not succeed. Platformers, shooters, fighters, racing, beat-'em-ups, and maybe even full-blown adventure titles(if Nintendo will sort out its stupid storage issue) are all genres that I would like to see come to WiiWare in the future. Look to the past for inspiration, but work in the present to inspire the future would be a great motto here.
FINALLY! A platformer for my insatiable need for one. The visuals alone warrant me buying it. If the controls are as tight as Kid Icarus's then I will be a very happy camper indeed! Also I hope that this game is pretty challenging but not as challenging as Mega Man 9 though. We must break through the downpour of puzzle titles!
PS- Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it! Be sure to stuff yourselves!
This week is a pass for me on both the VC and WiiWare. Not that big of a Mega Man, Edutainment, or a Cutesy-Cooking Simulationthatoverlapsthealreadymediocreminigamesthatareinthegameitself fan really. Sorry.
wait a sec...why does Rodriguez say Soulja Boy when talking about World of Goo? It is 2D Boy. That is not anywhere close to Soulja Boy. Is that really what he said?
Downloaded ACR and it is pretty fun, but IMO it is too short and not enough stages, but if what slambert215 says is true, then that will be remedied quickly. Also I can't find a single person on wifi for worldwide and regional, so I have yet to play online. Anyway it is pretty fun and definitely worth a look if you liked Devil's Crush or the original Alien Crush. My bet is a 7/10.
@Terranigma It doesn't mean that Square should stop though! I almost s**t my pants when I saw the Chrono Trigger remake coming out for the DS(Which I am most definitely getting btw ), but I get what you mean.
Groovin' Blocks and maybe Tetris are the only puzzlers I need. I believe we need more action and shmup games on WiiWare or maybe a good Strategy RPG ala Fire Emblem would be nice.

How many years have you been taking spanish? I've been taking it for only 2 years and I'm not that good, to put it bluntly.

I hate sudoku because I suck at it. Crosswords are more my style.

Waste of money. I'd rather get Hori's GC look-a-like turbo controller or Nintendo's classic controller long before I got this.
