@battLeToaD "It would be great if Nintendo could release upgraded versions one day though. Especially the inclusion of multiplayer in the games that offered it would be neat."
It is strange that they would include so many GBA Ambassador games that would benefit from Mulitiplayer if upgrading them wasnt in the back of their mind somewhere. I cant see it anytime soon, as in the next year that Nintendo will release GBA VC titles because they still have to rerelease the NES upgrades yet and with 10 NES titles im sure they would get by releasing one a month or so throwing that in with the 3D Classics etc. but the inclusing of Multiplayer titles in the GBA downloads, that and monitering how long we play / review these titles may be dipping their toe to see how well recieved they may be, planing on releasing the GBA titles at some point with the extra functions everybody wants.
@84 Scissors Currently Nintendo have no plans to release these to Non-Ambassadors so thats probably why they are just lazy ports. The NES Ambassador games had 3DS functionality because eventully they are becoming available to the public with even more functionality. Some of the things you mention do suck like not being able to get Streetpasses while playing, but to be honest these GBA games just act like the DSiware games so I dont see it that much of a problem. In the end it is just lazy porting but hey we get what we pay for and im sure if and when decide to bring GBA to the VC these problems will be addressed.
Some games have ages well, others not so well but all are still worth playing. The thing that seems dissapointing is how the sound translates on the 3DS however some of the games look pretty good on the 3DS screen like Metroid Fusion and Kirby. Super Circuit is the one that has probably aged the worst but that could be down to all the improvements that had been made from one sequel to the next and this was the 3rd one and we are now up to 7. But if I had to sum up the Ambasador Games with two words it would be "FIRE EMBLEM!!!!"
Cant see why it wouldnt be across Europe. They are just little clip shows with no real need of translation. Just a load of race car crashes, motorbike stunts etc. If not wouldnt you be able to get the app by changing region to United Kingdom and just updating it manually every thursday then changing your region back?
So 100 coins roughly 500 stars or two wii games. Seems like a good deal on download codes as 100 Nintendo points (400 stars) practicly buys you nothing. I hope they dont bump up the exchange rate too much if they ever bring the download codes over here.
So how does the Nintendo Coin compare to Europes Nintendo Stars? We get 50 stars for filling in a survey (dsiware etc), about 250 + for registering a recent game (and filling out a survey) and about 500 for registering a system (and yet again filling out a survey) 100 Coins doesnt sound a lot considering 400 stars comes out at 100 Nintendo points. Just trying to work out what we would be looking at IF the scheme makes it over the pond someday. Other than that im really happy that they have decided to do something like this.
Warioware Twisted may have required a bit more effort on their part, but as it was never released in Europe, I dont hope they make the effort and release it as an eShop title. The 3DS has everything it needs to make it work and its the only Warioware title I dont own.
@42 LittleFuryThing Im sure if you like Adance Wars 2 then you will love Fire Emblem. I like them both but I think I prefer FE over AW2. Pretty much the same kind of stratergy game but with a fantasy twist instead of Sci-Fi. So yeah its a shame Advance Wars 2 didnt make the cut but Fire Emblem was a good choice from Ninty.
About making them available to everyone, you have to remember that these are bare bones GBA games with only the Manual included, you cant even jump to your home etc like you can with the NES games. Even the non-ambassador version of those hasnt been released yet because they dont have all the features yet. Im not saying they wont release them to the public, but I cant see them being released for at least another 12 months minimum.
Epic lineup. Some great games in there, nothing that I wouldnt enjoy playing. Stoked that Fire Emblem is amongst them as its one that had been on my Ambassador list to Santa since the original announcement... and ofcourse the original warioware makes for a great timewaster. So really happy!!!
Which features havnt been used? In most of the games I have at least one or more of the new features have been used that arnt available on previous models of DS. In addition to that has been the improvement of the features on the other DS systems such as the internet browser. Although available on the DSi I can now pause the game use the browser for gamefaqs or whatever and then jump back into the game itself (which apparantly the Vita will be unable to do). So not only has it evolved with new features the old features have moved along quite nicely too.
@9 I too was in your situation. I had wi-fi that was compatible with my 3DS but not DS, but it was also compatible with my wii so I bought the wiiware version of warioware and was able to download onto my wii and transfer onto my DS copy of warioware DIY. The wii version also comes with a load of extra content too.
Ive heard the Monster Hunter demo is also 20 mins long, so 30 plays at 20 mins is a stonking 10 hours of FREE Monster Hunting action. Seriously, if you have spent 10 hours with a demo of a game then you are probably going to buy it.
@md1500 how did you know if they counted. I had five valid games registered before November 1st and the only email I have had recieved from Nintendo about this was a description of the offer and what I need to do to qualify? Is there any other way of knowing if you are going to recieve the Kid Icarus 3D code.
What happens if you already had most of those titles registered before November the 1st. I will be getting Mario Kart 7 for christmas but unless I manage to get Revelations before the end of January I am going to struggle qualifying for this offer.
@Kingofe3 Just like the official advert Nintendo released on primetime tv saying that 3D video recording would be available from the 30th of November. Nintendos official PR means nothing anymore.
Sorry if I had offended you, I found nothing wrong with your review. I like most people consider the 7 to be a pretty OK score, and I also understood your issues with the game. I have read reviews before where the reviewer obviously hadnt put the time into the game enough to justify their opinion but I wouldnt say that was the case with your review. From what you had written it seemed like you clearly enjoyed the game but it wasnt without its flaws, which seems like a fair enough judgement. I once read a review on here (Samurai Warriors Chronicles #cough#) where the reviewer had clearly not played it enough to see that his issues are addressed in the latter levels for which I thought that was a terrible review.
Reviews are all just based on the individuals opinion and although 7 is a solid result the guy over at the Official Nintendo Magazine seemed to really love the game - http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/32477/reviewsfreakyforms-your-creations-alive-review/ He summed us his review with - "The greatest character and planet creation kit ever. If the exploration had been better this would be gold but then you'd probably be paying £30 for it."
@ThomasBW84 - Your review was very good and a 7 is a good result. Your right about the controls, I find they work well for when you are under water and such like, but it would have been nice to use the circle pad for the platforming sections. A good first eShop effort for Nintendo 3DSware and I hope they consider a sequel which improves on the issues with the game and expand the quest options etc. Even creating your own if possible.
A nice review I really thought this would have gotten an 8, however its all down to the creativity of the player. The more you put into it the more you get out of it, a 7 is respectible enough. Its great that you are able to download others creations via QR code because some of the Japanese creations are amazing. I probably would have liked the review to mention the ability to unlock and change the scenery in the different parts of your ever growing world because while the artstyle may seem a little "blues clues" to start with its easy enough to change that into a more burtonesque alice in wonderland / nightmare before christmas kind of world.
My first impressions of Freaky Forms have been very good, seems like plenty of content for your money. A nice bonus on the eShop is that Episode 1 of the Kirby show is available to stream, I hope the bring the others that they had on the wii.
@cammy, if you havnt already got it, I would definetly recomend Pyramids. The trailers dont do it the justice it deserves but I have really enjoyed it. The additional downloadable levels via QR codes are a nice touch.
Im glad to see that Freakyforms uses QR codes to share "creations" also as I dont know anybody else who may be buying this game.
This will be like "photo dojo", in the right hands it will be a fantastic game but to someone with very little imagination it will be a comlete waste. The overall enjoyment of the game will be purely down to the creativity of the player.
Even if we dont get it before it is sure to be inclded in the end of November update... I would rather it be sooner than later however because all the discusions about Revelations has got me playing Mercs a lot again and it would be great to see who is onoine playing rather than having to trawl through the friends list.
I think I can see what Iwata is aiming for. They really got the ball rolling on certain genres that once they went mainstream was then picked up by their rivals but at least it gave Nintendo a headstart in the sales, enough to push them so far as not to be worried by competition in the case of the DS & the wii. Now with the 3DS I dont think the new game genres are going to be so obvious as to be using the 3D aspect, I imagine they will be building on the Steetpass/Spotpass functions and be making the most of them. Taking on Facebook games with a similar concept where you actually have to have REAL friend that you talk to via the face. lol
Demo limits to me are not an issue providing that it isnt for a stupidly small amount like two or three times. Demos are there really to get you interested in a game. If your going to play it over n over then buy it. BUT, they have to give us a reasonable limit otherwise its pointless.

Re: Rumour: 3DS System Update to Reach Europe on 4th November
4th of November sounds like a possiblity as the big hitting games like Marioland3D and mk7 will no doubt force a system update before you can play them and if the new update that will probably have some new kind of homebrew blocking software isnt available then it would be a wasted opportunity.
Re: Nintendo Holding Online 3DS Press Conference on Friday
