6 hours in and I love it. But I almost never play DLC - when I'm done with a game I'm done.

I loved this game back in the day.

It's on Game Pass, which probably largely explains the low Xbox revenue. My kids play it on both Switch and Xbox Series X. It runs a lot better on Xbox but it's perfectly playable on Switch.

BOTW has always been € 69.99 in the European eShop, which is currently US$ 75.

Persona 5 Royal and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, both on Xbox Series X. The kids will get the Mario Kart expansion for Sinterklaas tonight, so we'll be playing that tomorrow.

The spike at 22 is probably because many people enter 2000 as their year of birth. I never give my real date of birth and teach my kids to do the same.

Bought it for € 22 physical earlier this year. I enjoyed my 50 or so hours with it.

Looks fine to me. The poster looks good too. I'm sure the movie won't be a timeless masterpiece, but I think it'll be fun.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel, a great war-themed JRPG with emotional depth that deserves a lot more attention. It's currently on Game Pass. I don't know how it performs on Switch but I see no reason why it wouldn't run well.

@mariomaster96 Didn't see that video and can't watch it right now. Of course Nintendo OKed Xenoblade 2 because they thought it would make them money, but the game was clearly made with love — it's not a cynical designed-by-committee cash grab.

@ReaperMelia I missed the Xenoblade 3 drama, but I found his Xenoblade 2 video very funny. His criticisms were exaggerated but not unfair.

I'm more surprised it doesn't run at 4k60 on PS5.

Nice. The short runtime is a plus in my book. I like JRPGs but they usually overstay their welcome for me.

I've been watching my son play this on Game Pass. It's buggy, but other than that it's a surprisingly good game. And I'm not a Disney fan. I just hope they're not going to ruin it with pay-to-win mechanics.

It's a catch 22. JRPG fans don't buy Xboxes because many JRPGs are not released on Xbox, and many JRPGs are not released on Xbox because JRPG fans don't play on Xbox. If Microsoft wants a bigger piece of that market they should invest serious money in bringing over more JRPGs for several years.

Nintendo Switch Sports is doing great. Audiences seem to like it more than the critics.

I'm back to cautiously optimistic about this game.

Curiously, they translated "game as a service" as "jeu vidéo à la demande" (videogame on demand). That's not remotely the same.

@Grumblevolcano I'm sure the vast majority of buyers don't follow gaming news and have no idea updates are/were even a thing. You can also argue this is the best time to buy the game since you now get the full package and don't have to wait for further updates.

I can't believe people are defending this game by denying the similarities. Legality aside, if this isn't a blatant ripoff nothing is. It's a shame because the devs are clearly talented.

I prefer the button controls except for the boss fights, which are much easier with the motion controls.

The button controls aren't great, but I understand there is only so much the devs could do with a game that was built around motion controls.

@BobLong-RickTangle I was just thinking the other day they might split the series in two. "The Legend of Zelda" for traditional Zelda games and "Breath of the Wild" for open-world games (and "Hyrule Warriors" for musou games).

I stopped gaming when I was about 20 in the early 2000s and only got back into it after buying a Switch for the kids in December 2019. It's been good for my mental health. For me it's not only about escapism but also about having a sense of control and accomplishment. The world sucks and certain things in my life have not turned out the way I hoped they would, but at least I beat that jerk Ganon!

@Zeldawakening It's only a flop if they lose money on it. 800,000 * € 60 = € 48 million. Even if only a quarter of that is actual profit I doubt the budget was anywhere near that.

My 10 year old daugher loves Jenny LeClue and Tangle Tower.

Looks just as bland and generic as the Zelda one you covered a while ago.

I couldn't get into the first game. I wanted to like it but I guess it wasn't for me. Maybe I should give it another try.

This looks incredibly generic. Anyone with Unreal Engine 5 and enough time on their hands could pull this off.
