@Varoennauraa I think its more likely that vc releases dont have the same amount of 3rd party support as on the wii vc. Maybe Nintendo want to stagger what little they have in the pipeline. Saying that it smacks of laziness on Nintendos part as it should be a relatively simple matter to get more publishers interested. It is after all almost free money for them.
@SphericalCrusher yeah I thought I was because I noticed I only had a page and a bit left but another poster let me know. Agreed though - more than one letter would be nice but hey we can't have everything
@Spoony_Tech I loved it when I was a kid too. I think I'd lack the patience for it now though- modern gaming has ruined me, my inner 10 year old is disappointed in me...
@CaviarMeths The thinking behind it could be that there's going to be a lot more people backing it to a higher stretch goal. Which, if true, kind of stinks and prioritises a money grab over the game reaching where most people would be able to appreciate it. I've backed 6 projects so far on ks so I like crowd funding in general but I think something reeks about this one...
@GuitarAnthony Seriously? I was considering this but I get a fair few downloads on my 3ds and my 32gig card is already more than half full.If its that big a file size I might have to pass which is a shame.
I've played this and it's terrible. However it is unintentionally hilarious. I recall running about throwing fruit at a donkey. I dont recall that bit in the noahs ark story...
I thought it was a good review, it's got a nice quirky style to it. A summary is at the start which you rarely see but it works well and its actually a rather good idea.
I got a lovely new luigi 3ds today but can't do a system transfer until they sort the online out sadly. Means I cant play on my nice new xmas present. Not too bad I've got plenty of things to do today but it's a suprise that nintendo didn't expect a lot of extra traffic today, poor show really but good that more people have got a wii u and 3ds.
In defence of the article your family is actually a social network in its purest and most basic form. Being social can just boil down to saying hello to people on the street which is exactly how your 3ds is acting on your behalf when you streetpass someone. I'm not a big fan of facebook myself but just because thats how one (admittedly rather dominant) social network acts doesn't mean that its form and function have to define the term social network itself. Just my opinion of course-others are welcome to disagree.
@Mecha_Boo no probs! Worth pointing out that all the data on the source console is wiped and everything is unified on the 3ds you're transferring to. You know just in case... There's a good clear faq on Nintendo Europe's site if you're unsure.
@Mecha_Boo. They merge. I got my girlfriend the animal crossing 3ds and ac was preinstalled on the new one. Kept all her old content and animal crossing was there too.
To be fair if nintendo threw a load of money at me to have a party to promote mario 3d world I'd do it. I'd have significantly lower chances of getting column inches for them though...
@Nico07 cheers! Thanks for taking the time to post and that. I'll probably pick this up -something good to play when I'm in the mood for something more chilled out...
Dont really care about ea that much but thats fine as they dont really care about Nintendo gamers that much either. From the wii onwards its been a hard market for third parties to get right and seems like theyve given up now. Fair enough...
@kinkofer I'd probably forget I backed them, no where near organised enough... I back things if it they're not quite there but there's a good chance they'll make it.
Lets face it as much as many of us prefer local multiplayer online is a great option to have. It'd no doubt increase sales which is needed for wii u and it wouldn't detract from the local options.
@Captain_Balko If you've played it you'll know why-trust me! I know it hasn't been out long but you kind of know when you're playing something that good that it will stand the test of time. Think about how you might have felt when you were playing ocarina, bet you thought that would go down in history when you played it. Know I did dude...
Legally this should be the same as selling counterfeit goods from a bricks & mortar shop. If you're getting money from selling items then it should be at least partially your responsibility to ensure they're not dodgy rip-offs. Sadly it seems online stores don't have to take any responsibility for whats sold in their shops unless someone complains. Don't think its right in my opinion...
@AhabSpampurse i'm in cardiff too and walking around town is great for streetpasses. There's a coffee shop down the road from my house that has a hotspot too. Animal crossing seems to have made a lot more people take their systems out with them. Weirdly I seem to get more passes in cardiff than I do in central london whenever I go there...
Simple solution is to make it the publishers choice. Then games which will never make it out of japan cqn get some extra sales and games which are to be released elsewhere can protect their marketing spending
@Nintendo4Lyfe Speaking as someone who has got both with quite a few tables Ralfie is right - they both have their merits. Zen pinball plays the better video game pinball and Pinball arcade plays the most faithful recreation of the real thing. Pinball arcade's offerings are all faithful recreations of real tables and it's harder but more rewarding imo. Saying that I love Zen pinball too and there's space for both of them...
