Sadly this discussion is more well-reasoned and intelligent than what I've seen regarding this topic on the rest of the Internet. hint: that's not saying much
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he'll be unlockable. Also playable are Unkle Dill, CommandgirlVideo, a carrot-like thing, and Whetfart Cheeseburger, whatever that is. They're really going off the deep end with these guys.
@Link_Belmont Doubt it, unless you're suggesting that as a feature of the Wii U version, which might be cool. The option to play as Retro CV has been confirmed though.
@GazPlant If you read PushSquare's interview with the developers, this isn't really a BIT.TRIP game. Part of me wonders if they would've been better off without CV and that universe, and just used the new characters they've come up with. Not that I would want that, but it might help to differentiate from the original.
Nostalgia is a force to be reckoned with. For this reason the Sunshine era will always be the best for me even though Super Mario Sunshine was the only Mario game that came out in the Sunshine era.
Also, why does the "@jonwahlgren" hyperlink also go to his profile, instead of his Twitter account (http://www.twitter.com/jonwahlgren)? I understand that he lists that as his website, but still...
EDIT: Maybe because that's what the site does to "@something", ha ha.
I have to agree with all of the people saying Pushmo shouldn't be that high up. It's a very entertaining puzzler, but the reward factor pales in comparison to more intense and demanding games.
"My Top 6: 1. Bit.Trip Beat 2. Bit.Trip Core 3. Bit.Trip Void 4. Bit.Trip RUNNERRRR 5. Bit.Trip Fate 6. Bit.Trip Flux" A zerker after my own heart.
But my real Top 12 would go a little somethin' like this:
1. Kid Icarus: Uprising 2. Super Mario 3D Land 3. Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D 4. BIT.TRIP SAGA 5. Mutant Mudds 6. VVVVVV 7. Star Fox 64 3D 8. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D 9. Pushmo 10. Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword 11. 3D Classics: Kid Icarus 7,777,777. Mario Kart 7
@pikmaniac Same here, Mario Kart 7's online didn't work for me, which is partly why I sold it. Online hasn't worked for me yet, but I've only tried it a couple times.
Why did I spoil the number of chapters for myself noooo
@sinalefa @warioswoods I always lost my Tanooki Suit midway through, but yeah I used it. It was an available resource, and what else were all those Toad houses I had never used there for?
I'll have to try both again sometime, SM3DL sans-Tanooki Suit.
@warioswoods I have to doubt that you played The Perfect Run in Galaxy 2, since the secret final level in SM3DL is way easier. I beat the former after more than a day straight of playing it, and the latter took me only a couple hours or so.
@TrueWiiMaster LBP2 let you make entire games in any genre as opposed to just platformers in the original. I'm not debating whether it was more innovative than Skyward Sword (though I would say SS just took elements of the Wii Sports Resort and put them into a Zelda game, control-wise), but it was innovative.
Also, "Artistic Achievement" means really amazing art, not artistic innovation.
Mario was snubbed, I agree, but Portal 2 was at least slightly better than Skyward Sword in virtually every way. And from what I know of LBP2, it was at least somewhat innovative, what with the ability to make your own entire games and all (the first one only let you make platformers).
@DamnataAnimus The problem people are having being that it's against the NLife Community Rules to talk about piracy-related stuffz. It's not that they're against the article itself, necessarily, but how it seemingly contradicts the site's policy for users.
I would never want to be forced to choose between this and Mutant Mudds. They're both too awesome.
Also the update fixed a glitch preventing the player from getting the final trinket in the player level Variation Venture. It was me talking to the guy who made the level that got it fixed, so it's nice to know that some developers listen to their fans.
"Let's hope others don't make unfair and sweeping generalisations about indie developer's attitudes in the same vein as Phil Fish did about the Japanese video game industry." Which people immediately started doing as soon as he said this.

Re: Nicalis Expects VVVVVV to Reach Europe in Early May
NightSky is the best. Well not as good as VVVVVV and Cave Story, but still better than the majority of everything on Nintendo platforms.
Re: MDK2 Dev Will Never Develop for Nintendo Again
A shame since their port of MDK2 was great.
Also, I checked out his Twitter and he said, "The Wii is a toy, not a console."
Re: Miyamoto to Show Wii U Mario at E3
June 5th, you say?

Re: Gaijin Drops Biggest Hint Yet at Wii U Runner2
Gaah if this comes to Wii U I will have a harder time not buying a Wii U. Decisions, decisions...
Re: The Wii U RUNNER 2 Hotline is Now Open
wiiu@gaijingames.com exists? Well, that would be a waste of an email address if it didn't come to Wii U.
I suggested that on the bottom screen they have Unkle Dill giving the player moral support.
@NintyKing Nope, they've been replaced with cannon mini-games. Less rewarding, but they take less time and provide more instant gratification.
@skywake Agreed. That would actually be a huge advantage over the PS3 version for me.
Re: Fan Documentary Explores Ocarina of Time Development
I love this game.

Yes! Marth is awesome! DLC is awesome! Yes!
Re: GAME Getting Back On Its Feet After Takeover
Wow, everyone in Europe really does use the word "scheme" in a positive way.

Jon, will you have time to do non-Nintendo related stuff there? If so, please check out Runner2 in the Indie Mega Booth for me.
Re: Wait, There's a Spectrum Emulator in GoldenEye?
Gonna go play some GoldenEye 64 now. Thanks.

@brandonbwii Arc Style still doesn't get a second glance, from me at least.
Re: Kid Icarus Ignites 3DS Sales Spike in Japan
The 3DS almost had 10 times the sales of the PS Vita last week.
Re: Feature: Our Favourite 3DS Games So Far
@James There are much better games than Super Mario Galaxy currently on the 3DS. #MyOpinion
Re: This Is Your Kid Icarus: Uprising Weapons Bible
@pikmaniac Definitely no.
Re: This Is Your Kid Icarus: Uprising Weapons Bible
My thoughts exactly.

Re: This Is Your Kid Icarus: Uprising Weapons Bible
Yeah I was kind of expecting something more in-depth, too.
Also the official website has about as much info on weapons: http://kidicarus.nintendo.com/uprising/explore-the-game/#equipment
Re: This Is Your Kid Icarus: Uprising Weapons Bible
Even larger:

@VintageBoy That link didn't work for me.
Re: This Is Your Kid Icarus: Uprising Weapons Bible
I was about to come in here and say "This is the best thing that Nintendo Life has ever posted." And it still is, just in a more ironic way.

Brilliant, brilliant title. Congratulations, Sakurai, you've done it again.

@MagicEmperor No, but the game does digitally recreate the magic of cardboard pizza.

"the one-man team"
There is no "I" in "team".
Also, while the concept reminds of Scribblenauts, I hope the execution is much better than that game's.

How would BIT.TROID work, may I ask?
Also Runner 2 will be mine, somehow.

I kind of which I hadn't sold Tatsunoko vs. Capcom now.

Ok, I will never feel sorry for Nintendo again.

Hope it fixed the glitches in the player levels as well.
Can't wait to get back into this game as soon as I beat MGS.
Re: Kid Icarus 3D Anime Hits North America This Week
Europe got the far better deal. Especially since I would bet they're getting the Uprising shorts as well.
