Another bad week? Sorry, America. I figure Nintendo America thinks that if they release three VC games in a single day (the Game Gear games), they don't have to release anything for the following few weeks.

Aw come on maannnn! -__- What the heck is wrong with NOA lately. No 3DS VC games for the GAME BOY library AT ALL for all of March. What the heck is going on over there. Once again, their stupid marketing on eShop games screwed them over again. For the love of god. Aside from only getting GAME GEAR games on 3/15/2012 , this is a DAM CRUEL joke. Worst month for the eShop imo. Something has DEFINITELY GOTTA give within the next week or 2. This is DEFINITELY INEXCUSABLE!!

Interested in the Arc Style game. Hopefully it turns out better then the DSiware version.

Nothing good from NOA or SEGA. I really want Sonic the Hedgehog 1 or 2, and a new Nintendo game like DRW would be great. I'm getting bored with the eShop -_-

I wonder will the OK Go video come over to Europe? I wouldn't might taking a gawk at it.

I want a demo of Dillon's Rolling Western. I would feel safer spending $10 on it IF there was a demo.
I don't see where Nintendo could go wrong if they want to grow this franchise.
I am glad they are doing it for Mutant Mudds because that game is awesome!

Anyway, you guys get Colors! 3D next week, which is pretty cool.

I'll definatly be trying the Mutant Mudds demo, and if I like it (and I can come up with enough money) I'll download the full game.

Another generic, very disappointing week for me and the VC.
Where the heck is my darn Wario Land and Myths and Monsters. I guess they are trying to kill the GB VC.
I'm going to just have to look for those games on ebay. This isn't working anymore.

Nothing for me this week, but I hardly care, I've got Kid Icarus: Uprising to play! But if I do feel the urge to play something retro, I just nabbed Mario's Picross from Club Nintendo, so I'm good to go.

Nintendo apparently has no desire to take my money right now.

Being a Wii owner for over 5 years I see any week with a demo as a good week. Add a 3DS demo also bodes well for the WiiU to be on par w/ the PS3/Xbox360 when it comes to downloadable content. OK - I admit I don't own a 360, but my PS3 is way more active than my Wii, and I hear the Xbox has even more than that - albeit w/ a $50 year gold Membership. I can live w/ a free Club Nintendo connection

I don't know about him, but I have absolutely no chance of having 3D Classics: Kid Icarus until released in the eShop. Gamestop won't sell to my country, so I couldn't preorder Uprising there (the same for the other two stores that had the code) and I can't purchase Classics there either.

And even purchasing Uprising from other store means having to wait weeks for it to arrive in the mail (as a hint, I have yet to receive MGS in the mail). So I'm stuck with waiting.

I hate soccer and I have no interest in yet another pool game. The only good thing for me this week is the Mutant Mudds demo, which will finally tell me if I want to purchase the game or not.

It is weird, but even Nintendo said that the 3D classics is available at Gamestop

Pretty lame week, but the Mutant Mudds demo will be welcome here. Curious about that game and would like to try before deciding whether or not to buy.

On the upside, Colors! 3D is coming soon, we're probably going to have a new selection of "free" games from Club Nintendo really soon, and there are still plenty of great games available in the back catalog. Does that justify the fact that NoA can't manage a normal release schedule on their digital platform? No... but it's not like there is a lack of games worth playing.

I'm sure I'm the only one, but I'm actually super excited about the 2 Fast 4 Gnomz demo. I've been really considering buying that game.

It's interesting to note that aside from that one week (Bionic Commando. VVVVVV), NA has never received both a VC game and an eShop original on the same day. That could possibly mean we won't get a VC game for at least another three weeks (Colors 3D comes out next week, with Ketzal's Corridors coming the following).

I don't get this; there's more than enough Game Boy games to release one every week and still have plenty left over!

I just picked up Kid Icarus: Uprising, and Tales of the Abyss yesterday, so I'm going to be too busy for eShop this week anyways, so the lack of great software doesn't bother me.

Anyway, next week's update is guaranteed to be good with Colors! 3D hitting

Wow, just wow. Nintendo of America let me down this whole month. All four updates were a disappointment but on the plus side, i didn't have to spend any money on the eShop. So thanks Nintendo.

It's almost as if NoA doesn't want to underscore original releases with VC content. I imagine if they released something akin to Wario Land this week Arc Style wouldn't get a second glance.

And here come the "no VC?!" pessimists again. When will you guys learn that the VC only appeals to a certain audience and the third parties want to focus on everyone right now.

im still thouroughly enjoying KI:U Dragon Crystal and Shinobi. although it would be nice to know some good vc games are there when I'm ready for them

@Rapadash6: W/o going into details, pretty much from what I understand that is the case regarding Nes/SNes/MD. One of the only things I can think of saying is, that Nintendo might want to have really good emulation of the titles prior to releasing them. Or perhaps they do feel VC would overshadow newer content, as brandonbwii just mentioned.

I'll try the Mudds demo. I might like it.

VVVVVV isn't an eshop original though. At least no moreso than any of the remastered 3D Classics were.

North America seems to be more interested in putting on more original 3DS downloadable titles rather than Europe. Not a bad thing but I'm more interested in the VC.

Nothing for me this week. Only a junky looking soccer game, a pool game, and demos to games I already own.

Cool to see Mutant Mudds get a demo! It sounds like a great game, but I know I won't be getting it because I hear the difficulty is pretty high and I'm just not that good of a platformer. I'll still poke the demo!
I would agree I'd like to see a demo for Rolling Western soon.

The most exciting this this week in their digital releases is a demo.
They're totally on top of their game with this digital stuff now. They've learned their lessons for sure.

at least this gives me a chance to give mutant mudds a try to play, this demo will help me decide to download the full game

there really is no excuse for the plodding rate we are getting VC games at now.

Especially since Japan is almost having one 3DS VC game a week every week.

Thanks for the information on the 3D Classics: Kid Icarus download available from GameStop. I just ordered it online for $5.99. As for Nintendo not releasing VC games for any of the consoles this week, I too am disappointed. But, I still have quite a few to catch up on anyways and besides I just got Kid Icarus: Uprising 2 days ago and haven't even started playing it. I hope everyone else enjoys any new games they've gotten this week.

Hm, Kid Icarus Uprising keeps many people busy. I have that, and I have Phantasy Star Zero keeping me busy on my 3DS. Hope SEGA makes a Phantasy Star game for 3DS, even if it's not PSO2.

Wow, another lackluster update. What is going on with NOA lately? They have been slacking in the digital department over the past few weeks. I would have thought that they would have released Kid Icarus Of Myths and Monsters to coincide with Kid Icarus Uprising but nope. Oh well, I am still enjoying the heck out of KI Uprising. Hopefully next week will be better.

They probably won't release any VC games alongside Colors, so that should be three weeks of nothing for me. I have tons of games on my 3DS that haven't gotten much attention from me, so it shouldn't matter, but every Thursday was Christmas for a while and they're letting me down!

Nintendo do not repeat the same mistake you did on the Wii VC. Give us American's Gameboy games before I have to spend more money on them for my physical Gameboy.

Why does everyone want vc games so bad? I'd personally rather have a nice new couple of eShop games myself. Better graphics, story, etc. But I don't mind SMB every now and again

I wanna Heroes of Ruin demo

I just downloaded that pool game for the hell of it. From the video it looked ok and I trust the developers so I thought it was a pretty safe buy. Actually not bad at all! It may not have fancy bells and whistles but it doesn't need it and I don't want it. This is pool boiled down to its essence with respectable physics, a two-player option (same system) and 20 trick missions to accomplish. Good buy in my book for just two bucks. Turns out this week wasn't SO bad!

Even though I have the full game, I'll be getting the Mutant Mudds demo just to see what's in it.

I don't mind it being a slow week. There are so many great 3DS VC and 3DS Ware titles already released I'm still trying to catch up PLUS I am trying to get caught up on all the Wii VC games I do not have for fear they will be removed.

Where is Castlevania Adventure and The Legend of Zelda on the NES? seriously, I gave up on the VC looong time ago. And I was hoping that they released the GBA ambassador games sooner or later but what the heck, maybe I'll have to wait 10 years or so for them to be released on the eshop...

On the other hand, I am happy to swim against the current and being actually happy to have the Mutant Mudds demo. We just got Kid Icarus Uprising last Friday and we will get Xenoblade Chronicles next week, so there should be enough to keep us and our bucks busy for a while. And next Sunday we should see a couple of free downloads when Club Nintendo updates their monthly rewards.

Kid Icarus just came out recently, RE: Revelations, Mario Kart 7, and older but good ones like Star Fox 64 remake and 3D Land?

And the great downloadable titles so far? Sakura's Samurai, Mutant Mudds, Dillon's Rolling Western? Are you really done with all that? So much that you have to bitch so bad about a poor downloadable-releases week? Can you actually keep up if they release 3 top VC + DSware games every week?

Oh, I've got plenty to keep me busy, I'm addicted to KI: U, just wondering why these other companies even BOTHER with things like a sub-par $7 3-d Soccer game.

How come a lot of developers are taking advantage of eshop to put out crappy minigame-quality games for a quick cash-in? I'm taking game art and design classes at school and even if my work is late, I never rush my work for the grade just like everyone else. It's what too many developers do and it does not make good games! Ever since I was little, I've wanted to design games and seeing people do things like these cash-in games makes me sick. Instead or re-making every kind of game, why not put thought into your own original game? I keep seeing things that are repeatedly done get recycled as different games all over again. Oh, and also, 'I never buy games on my android. Because I am not into cheap, mindless games that had no thought or heart put into them.

Not very surprising to see a mediocre week from NoA but I can't really complain since the last 3 months have seen a consistent flow of good-great games at retail.

Sigh Another week goes by and still no Wario Land.

it would be a miracle, if we could all, just buy, or earn, the ambassador program some how, as a premium e shop package or something... because, its not everyone's falt, that they couldn't afford, a 3DS, back then... well, just to access, more games for purchasing
the exclusives, like GBA content. mabe, even small discounts, ect..

And of course, I don't mean the +20 games thing...
