Re: Gallery: A Look Back At Some Of Miiverse's Craziest And Most Beautiful Moments

MyLegGuy

My favorite thing about Miiverse was looking at all the stupid posts. It would always be amazed by how stupid some people are and how little effort they put into their posts. The two worst things I remember are just random squiggles showing up in the background of the Smash Bros. Miiverse stage and posts that are just the same stamp over and over again showing up on the Yoshi's Woolly World loading screen. Don't even get me started on the posts I saw in Splatoon. It's like those morons don't have actual brains. I also got temporarily banned a lot for calling people idiots.

@G0dlike
You, sir, are a genius. I am certain that you were the only person to notice that because it's so subtle. It's a good thing you left that comment.

Re: Review: Cave Story+ (Switch)

MyLegGuy

@FlameRunnerFast
I've reinstalled the game and still have the problems.
Other people have the same problems I have, just look it up.
I'm using Windows 10 right now, but I had the same problems on my old laptop running Windows 8.

You may have not seen the one where you play challenges as Curly because it only happens if you have the graphics mode set to original.
The original BGM setting actually does work in challenges, but not graphics.
There's an achievement called Merry Holiday Happy Euphemism that doesn't have an icon. IIRC, you loose challenges if you delete your save file where you got the True End.

All the bugs I've found are really common and show that they didn't do enough testing. And, worst of all, these glitches have literally been known for years and Nicalis just doesn't care. On the Steam page for Cave Story+, at the bottom of the feature list, it says "Future content updates". That's funny.

Re: Review: Cave Story+ (Switch)

MyLegGuy

Now this is interesting.
Cave Story+ on the PC's challenges and extras were a glitchy mess. After you complete a challenge, the game closes for some reason. Leaderboards don't work. Starting a challenge and then quitting makes you play as Curly for all challenges until you soft reset. The settings for new or old BGM and graphics only work for the main game, not the challenges or Curly Story.

Surely this isn't shovelware and they've fixed this stuff, right?
That's assuming these extra things are even in this version.

Also, @Steve_Bowling, you shouldn't have said the protagonist's name. It's supposed to be a secret you only learn through the best ending. Shame on you.

Re: Fire Emblem Heroes Voting Event Crowns Its Champions

MyLegGuy

"I've never played Fire Emblem before, but I will play Fire Emblem Heroes."
"Oh, look, there's a voting thing."
"Sad face. I don't know any of these characters due to never having played a Fire Emblem game before."
"Wait a second, there's some Fire Emblem characters in Smash Bros!"
"I guess I'll just vote for one of them!"

-Probably the mind of way to many people.

Re: New Hack Offers A Full Game Library On Your NES Classic Edition

MyLegGuy

@zip
Yes, this article may encourage people to pirate games that they didn't have before and put them on their NES Mini.

However, you said "NLife, showing its readers how to pirate ROMs."
This article does not SHOW people how to go to sites and download roms illegally, it just shows them how to use roms they have on their NES Mini.

Re: Editorial: Nintendo's Virtual Console Revolution Must Wait as We Pay Once More for SNES Games

MyLegGuy

@ikki5
I've been thinking about your comment for far too long, and I decided to reply just so I could stop thinking about it.

There's a homebrew named blarSNES for the 3ds. It sacrifices game compatibility and accuracy and still doesn't run even near perfect on old 3ds.
I doubt Nintendo could make a very accurate emulator with perfect (or very high) compatibility that runs well on old 3ds when homebrew developers aren't even close.

Re: Feature: Xenoblade Chronicles X - One Year Later

MyLegGuy

I beat this game, but not Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.
When I started the game, I thought there was no way I would finish. But I was hooked. I just kept on playing, never thinking about when I would reach the end. Before I knew it, I was on Chapter 12.

I really love this game, it's my favorite Wii U game by far.

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs

MyLegGuy

Thank you for putting Pokémon on here. I wasn't aware of its existence. I'm sure everybody who comes here looking for RPGs will be surprised by the existence of Pokémon video games and will check them out immediately.

Re: NES Classic Edition Teardown Peeks Inside the Tiny System

MyLegGuy

@ReshiramZekrom
That's not a good enough reason.
I was expecting a moral reason. ( Other than that you should follow the law, of course. )

@BaffleBlend
It may be impossible to support the developers, but you can still support Nintendo by buying the games on the Virtual Console.
Which is impossible if you don't have a Nintendo Console that has virtual console games, or the game isn't on Virtual Console.

Not that I'm saying that anybody should buy a game on the Virtual Console if they already own it.

Re: NES Classic Edition Teardown Peeks Inside the Tiny System

MyLegGuy

@jimi
Alright, so you consider that downloading roms for games you already own is piracy.

In that case, what's wrong with pirating NES games you already own? If you really wanted to dump the rom yourself, you could. But the only people that would support would be whatever company you buy the hardware to dump roms with, not Nintendo.

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Be a Single-Screen Experience

MyLegGuy

But will the screen make doughnuts? I didn't see it in the trailer, but I still think there's a chance.
Will the screen only display black and white? I saw colors in the trailer, but Nintendo has previously made a handheld that only displays black and white.
