Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct June 2026 Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

MegaMan52

On Switch, I'm hoping to see Twilight Princess HD, DuckTales Remastered, Batman: Arkham Origins, and a Splinter Cell game (maybe either Blacklist or the Splinter Cell Collection that was released on PS3). It would also be nice if Wario Land and Wario Land 2 were released on the Game Boy App.

On Switch 2, I'd like to see a new Paper Mario game and the Splinter Cell remake.

Re: Spyro The Dragon Reignites With A Brand New Entry On Switch 2

Now this is the news I've been waiting for. I've recently gotten back to playing Reignited Trilogy (which I've had since 2019) on Switch, and while I still love it, it's time for a new game. Or at least an announcement, which has finally happened. I can't wait for my favorite Dragon to return!

Re: Digital Eclipse Brings A Bunch Of Classic Toy Story Games To Switch 1 & 2 This Year

This is actually kind of cool. Rented the SNES version of Toy Story and remember liking it, and I'm happy they're including the Genesis version since it is more complete (it had another level, for example). A Bug's Life is an interesting inclusion; and looking at the website, it looks like the PlayStation version is being used.

Also, I can't say I was expecting Toy Story 3. So Switch and Switch 2 are getting the game with enhancements and extra content. Bundling both the Retro Roundup collection and this game is a good value. I'm definitely getting the physical release.

Re: Anniversary: Super Mario First Went 'New' 20 Years Ago On The DS

MegaMan52

A few years ago, I bought the Japanese release of New Super Mario Bros. and did a complete playthrough. I enjoyed playing through the game, and wished I'd played it sooner. Then I moved on to Super Mario 3D Land and completed that game too. Bought New Super Mario Bros. Wii as well, but still haven't played it. Also bought Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but haven't played it yet either. Still working on 3D World + Bowser's Fury and Super Mario Odyssey.

Re: Capcom Says It Will Continue To Nurture Its "Leading Brands" With Sequels, Remakes And Ports

MegaMan52

Well, I'm happy that Mega Man is included in the bunch. I've supported this franchise since the early '90s, bought a physical copy of Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection recently, and want to continue supporting it.

Waiting for new games and compilations can be difficult, but the scads of Merchandise, re-releases of older games (the Mega Man Game Boy games being on the Switch's Game Boy App, for example), Books, and bringing back the NT Warrior and Star Force shows on YouTube has helped. I'm looking forward to Dual Override.

Re: Video: The Great Physical Vs. Digital Switch 2 Debate

MegaMan52

I prefer physical because I want to actually have my games in my collection (not just on my systems), but have bought physical and digital releases and understand there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Sometimes games are released digital only or only got physical releases in Japan (Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2, for example).

It can be annoying when some physical releases don't contain the entire game. I remember buying Spyro: Reignited Trilogy on Switch in 2019, and liking the games themselves but being disappointed about the physical release not including the full games. Batman: Arkham Trilogy is another example of this, containing only Arkham Asylum on the Card. But then again, having all the games on a Card would've increased the cost. Niche games like Cavern of Dreams understandably received a limited physical release, and I'm happy that game even got a physical release at all (which I have).

Bottom line, both are relevant. I recently got a physical copy of Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection that I'm happy to have, but understand digital is needed these days.

Have it on both Dreamcast and GameCube, as well as the PS3 version. I liked and still like it regardless of the Platform, the technical issues, and some of the levels being annoying. Nice to see some art for the game. Hard to believe the Dreamcast version was completed in just ten months, going by its original 1998 release in Japan.
