This is why Nintendo kept region lock.

What Nintendo did was pure genius. They got everyone to forget about all other games and company's and get everyone soley talking about Nintendo and DKCTF. Now that is some great marketing.

I don't see the big deal with this report. I do hate people claiming that GTA V would save the wiiu because let's face it GTA V would not noticably boost console sales. Why would someone pay $360 to play a gimped port when they could pay $60 and play it on a system they already have. Plus it would run better and have more features.

@theadrock13 yes because calling me a troll and I not having played ww or mm means I don't know business. If Nintendo does what you say they should then they will end up like sega.

TP is still my favorite but that being said i have never played WW, MM, and none of the hand helds except links awakining.

I found the first one to be extremely boring. You got lost pretty easy, the levels were way to big, and the save points to far apart. I never finished the game because of those reasons.

im surprised china hasnt been mentioned here. with china about to let outside consoles into their country nintendo might be the only one out of the big three allowed to sell there consoles.

Is Nintendo even selling the wii u at a loss any more? There was an article stating that the wii u was profitable with one game sold per console. Right now vgchartz (yes I know there data is slow) has the wii u at 3.21mil consoles sold with 7.79 games sold so that's 2.4 games per console plus that doesn't include digital sells.

@Pierceton I've been saying star fox needs to be matured and not in the m rated way. After all he is a mercenary. Could you imagine picking a side to fight for and then dealing with the consequences for choosing that side. I think it could make for a really good game if they went that route.

It's funny patcher says this because he plans on getting one for bayonetta 2.

@Tasuki I agree their marketing is nonexistent but they don't really have any first party/exclusives to advertise and when they had lego city and monster hunter they still did nothing to really advertise those games. The way Nintendo has handled the wii u launch has been mind boggling.

Yes advertising is the number one problem but it's hard to when they don't have many first party titles out for it. At least they admit they are at fault unlike the third party developers who blame everybody else but them selfs.

Nintendo already said they are not getting rid of the basic wiiu at this time.

@rjejr 360 did ps3 didn't. Both Xbox and Xbox360 average 10 games per console life span. But if you are talking first party support than Nintendo crushes both especially Sony who hasn't averaged even one first party game per console.

Maybe it will be the Xbox 360 and ps3 that won't get it sense the game comes out right before the launch of the new systems.

@G3ry actually Microsofts first party games out sell Sonys. In the top 100 Xbox games 21 were first party and they sold over 100 mil copy's. the ps3 had 21 first party games out of the top 100 best selling ps3 games. They sold less than 66 mil that's not even 1 per a consol.

@Monkeyofthefunk nintendo will survive without them just like they always have. yes they need some third party support but not heavy third party support like xbox and sony. look up the numbers.

but sales do matter. they show how interested people are for a game or console. so to say sony has the best first parrty games you would be in the minority.

actualy sales would say that sony has the worst first party support. out of the top 100 ps3 best selling games 21 were sony first party tittles. they sold less than 66mil. they are the only company to sell less first party tittles than systems sold.
