Re: E3 2010: Miyamoto Unexcitedly Scopes Out Xbox Kinect

Marvelousmoo

I think that Sony did a good job with their move, although it is really an almost exact replica of the Wiimote, especially the second controller with the analog stick. However, I don't think that Kinect even comes close to the two. It fails to show how hardcore gamers would want it, and it doesn't even look fun with a lot of sports games. Who would want to run in place to run on the track in the game? As for driving games, it works for turning the wheel, but how are you supposed to speed forward? push forward on the wheel? The only games that Kinect really works for are fitness and dancing games.

Re: E3 2010: Nintendo's 3DS line-up

Marvelousmoo

@mizumaru
The 3DS does have dual analog of a sort. There is a motion sensor above the screen that will act as a 2nd analog stick, sort of like how the Wii remote itself is the second stick.

Re: E3 2010: Live Text - Nintendo's Media Presentation

Marvelousmoo

Goldeneye looked awesome! I like how all the other consoles focus on FPSs with great graphics and online stuff, but Nintendo throws in a bit of everything including FPSs with fun multiplayer. Nintendo makes games that are fun, not games that just look cool. Kinect is cool, but Microsoft didn't use it right. All that it is good for is fitness games. The sports ones look boring and the kinectimals made me want to gouge my eyes out. The 3DS really out shined Kinect.

Re: Nicalis Drops Hints at Further Pixel Ports

I hear a lot of complaining about the new music of cave story. I particularly like it and think it is just as good as the old music. It manages to stray a little more away from retro sounding, but it still holds on to it. Most of the complaining is about the lack of drums in the music, but I guess I prefer music without drums all the time because then the music would lose its emotion. I would like to see drums in the field musics like "mischievous robot" and "scorching back", but I think the purpose of titles such as "pulse" and "living waterway" would be diminished with drums.

Re: Hey WiiWare, Enjoy Your Massage

Marvelousmoo

@3 E10+?!? Although this sounds unsexy, showing cleavage and girls in bikinis for the purpose of showing cleavage and girls in bikinis sounds more like T to me. Either this game will be really bad, or people don't care which age groups see half naked girls anymore.

Re: Marines: Modern Urban Combat (Wii) Trailer

Marvelousmoo

If these are the actual graphics of the game then that is horrible. People think the Wii does not have good graphics, but it really does. Ive seen many gamecube games that have better graphics than this. The person at 0:29 looks horrible.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops Confirmed for Wii

@Segagamer93 I don't know what CoD has to do with hanging around in the streets.

I don't know if im going to get it though; I have to know if it is any good first. I was kind of looking forward to conduit two because of the split screen and I don't really want to get both.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops for Wii in Doubt

Marvelousmoo

Well, I would be looking forward to it, but it is highly likely that they won't make four player split screen with it on the Wii (since nobody but high voltage software can seem to figure out how to do it). I will just wait till Conduit 2 comes out and enjoy that instead.
CoD: MWR was good though, but it was lacking four player split screen as mentioned above.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2

Marvelousmoo

Hooray! Playing with somebody is way more fun than playing alone, even if it is as simple as picking up stars with the wiimote. It sounds as though their will be even more 2-player involvement though. Yay!

Re: Seiken Densetsu 3

The visual effect is a little bit more impressive, but it does not sport amazing 3D effects like Chrono Trigger does. The credits on that game were beautiful.

Re: Ubisoft Bringing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to Wii

Marvelousmoo

What saddens me the most about Wii shooters is that they are all one player. I don't find fun in sitting down, playing a shooting game, but It is extremely entertaining to play with three other people in the same room. I'll most likely pass on this game, seeing as it probably won't be multiplayer. I'll have to stick with Desert Storm for the Gamecube

Re: Reggie: No New Nintendo

Marvelousmoo

Yah, I'm glad too. When I got my first game system ever, the game boy color, I was so happy until right after that, the game boy advanced came out. For that reason, I have never liked new consoles being put out all the time. It makes the old ones obsolete and then you have to buy new consoles just to play the new games all of the time. I agree that consoles should be released once in a while to make things more interesting, but it is annoying when it feels like you just got the old one.

Re: Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex (Wii)

Marvelousmoo

I don't know why people complain about this game, and the graphics of this game. The graphics are good for a wii game, and the fact that the Wii has a good shooter is amazing. The only thing worth complain about is the fact that you can't do four player splitscreen.
Oh, and @74: you did buy this game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Marvelousmoo

Yah they sort of get better. Except for the ice dungeon. That frustrated me soo much. If I hadn't beaten it when I did, I would have set the game aside for a while. The other Dugeons were good though. Great game.

Re: Star Fox: Assault

Marvelousmoo

I hear so many bad things about this game. "It is no fun", "the gameplay sucks", etc.. But I thought it looked good, so i got it. I think it is really fun. I never really played the old star fox games (I only played star fox 64 for one sitting), so mabye that is why I like it. If you haven't played the old games and you think it looks fun, get it.

Re: Review: Secret of Mana (SNES)

Marvelousmoo

(4/23/09) :
10/10
If you like an RPG with an awesome story (yes, this has an awesome story. I don't care what these people say, the story effects your emotions, and you feel like you are actually in the game.) and an awesome battle system and a multiplayer feature, then go the wii shop and down load this RIGHT NOW! It is amazing. Nothing, not even the new 3D RPGs now, will ever beat this. Well, they could, but that won't happen.

EDIT (11/21/09) : I actually played this game before I played any of the Final Fantasy games, and after playing Final Fantasy VI, I have a few adjustments to make to my comment. I agree that the story and the characters aren't as developed as Final Fantasy VI. It doesn't have an epic feeling like FF does. I still think the game is good though, and has some elements that are better than FF. I really like how they did the battle system. There are a million ways that an action RPG battle system could have gone wrong, but this isn't any of those things. For one thing, the difficulty of the battles aren't easy at all. I found myself having to level up in the forest for a while a certain parts of the game (the difficulty isn't all that hard, I just really lack any skill in gaming). Most action RPGs are modern 3D games, but they have difficulties that make them way too easy. Secret of Mana is among the classic games that provide a challenge for the player.
There are many other reasons why I would give this a high score.
Overall, this game deserves a 9/10 in my opinion.

Re: Secret of Mana

Marvelousmoo

Wow... this is the best game ever! I am an RPG fan, and this has a good story and gameplay. The attack charge is good because it reduces button smashing. You can have three players playing at one time, and most of the music is amazing. It is really hard though, since it is an old RPG. I had to go back to the forest and train a lot. Hmm... I actually haven't beat the mana fortress part of this game yet... I going to play it right now!

Re: Talking Point: Should Game Stories Be Regarded as Highly as Literature?

Marvelousmoo

I personally like a good story in a game. It brings me to the game and I become more connected. This is the reason why I like RPGs. If there is no story, then why go about playing it? I don't know if they need to hire good writers though. Back in the day of video games, they didn't need all of these fancy writers, and their stories were better than most games that we have now. But if people want to do it, why not? The only problem is, that a story is different than a video game.

Re: EarthBound

Marvelousmoo

Really? Come on, really? Earthbound is a really good game. They would get a lot more buyers on that then on a lot of other vc games they are releasing. Wow... people are stupid nowadays.

Re: Fragile

Marvelousmoo

This game looks good, but all I see is exploration with the flashlight pictures. Where is the fighting and such?
