Isn't this the first time you guys didn't get any VC games? I cannot recall the last time that has happened.
Anyway, let's hope it doesn't repeat itself next week like it did for us not to long ago!
@BassXO: It's quite funny when you think that Europe get little victories over America but we're all in the same boat when it comes to comparing us against Japan.
SEGA, if you can, could you release both Triple Trouble and Tail's Adventure? I know the latter is on Game Gear but it's a great game and I think alot of people here'd like it .
I agree with everyone's list too.
P.S: Oh and that Dragon game you developed. All I know is that it starts with an A. I think RadioShadow said it.
@Damo: It's true that the speed can be a problem but since I've played 50hz since I was a kid, I am not bothered at all about the speed since you get used to it plus it has it's advantages (e.g: Slightly more response time).
Also I don't care if the game has Japanese text. As long as I can play it without any control problems I am happy. Plus it'll brush up the old Japanese skills.
It's a shame that the employees have to suffer but I got to admit that the move the founders did was quite clever.
I mean I am not saying that they should have done that but it was pretty sneaky to just move your address to avoid the debt. I bet alot of companies do this though to avoid a backlash from the workers. Seems it went wrong here this time and rightly so!
@ Jeroen: I feel exactly the same way. It feels like the promise was broken about the VC releases being weekly.
It feels like Nintendo has taken a step back! Even a Hanabi Festival couldn't justify this really. Why should we wait two weeks for only one game now? I'm normally optimistic about releases but I now think "Why do I even bother?" because this does take the biscuit imo.
Sigh I guess it means I have to wait for a few months until something good is released.
P.S: I have nothing against Wiiware releases but they're not my cup of tea.
I'm just happy it stands at 7, but the real concern is that this should've been on the VC before Brawl was as it would have gave it more legs (so to speak). Releasing it this late after Brawl is the real reason why this doesn't stand up so well IMO.
It's a pity really since it is a good game, it's just that Melee and Brawl stand out more now.
Awesome! I remember getting this on Import back in November 2000 when someone got hold of them. Great games but unfortunately the SIlver Versions have the tendency of the battery life dying sooner rather then later
Did he mean Microsoft Office? The program we all use on the computers and not on the TVs?
Sony owns a living room? Well if that isn't a blatently obvious statement I don't know what is! Where else can they use their products?
As for the Wii has the closet statement, it's funny when most people's closets/cupboards are either filled with other crap or food to even state the Wii belongs there. This is just Sony being jealous that they're PS3's aren't cluttering up the closet instead isn't it?
I have all three consoles (recently). They're all good but talk like this from Sony is just mind games, you see football managers/competitors use it all the time but occassionally it comes from the one in front sometimes.
@GullWing: Don't waste your anger. It's all to get the competition's morale down and enthusiasm. SEGA did this and looked what happened to them? If Sony or Microsoft didn't do this then it'd be a boring business world.
Very ironic eh? They finally have enough stock to go round and this happens.
It makes me wonder if they knew of the downturn before it actually happened.
Either way, this is some good news to us gamers because it's a wake up call to make games around this period (half way though this era or slightly before that).
Meh, 7.5% isn't so bad considering they may have made about 130% profit or something (a wild guess but I would consider that the price staying put while the manufactoring costs go down is a factor) from the Wii from the past two and a half years.
At this rate Nintendo shouldn't worry as they've achieved their goal as far as I'm concerned .
I think the threshold should be more to the quintuple digits if you ask me.
Most of the games aren't great but the ones who sell the bad eggs still manage to make a profit from it when the development cost was small to begin with.
@Adam - It's true that Nintendo want to make money where they can, it's a business and will do whatever it takes to gain from it, but like Reggie said, Nintendo don't really participate as much as the indie developers because they want people to experiment with their ideas for a good game.
Then again, Wiiware, Live Arcade and the PSN all seem to act like a developers version of the X Factor to me, I wonder if SEGA, Konami etc are keeping a close eye on these developers to snatch them up if they create quite a decent amount of WW/XBLA/PSN games?
This would be plausable but I doubt it since this is more or less a chance for those indies to shine and would like to have someone to publish their games on the respected service anyway.
As for the titles that do very well on the service, I am glad that the developers are gaining a decent amount of profits and hopefully make other great games too in the future!
Let id Software do what they want. They are the one who's missing out on making good games for the Wii, but I forget to recall the last time they developed a good game anyway.
By the way Blaze, great avatar and I love the name! One of my all time favourite characters and such a great nickname .
By far the most difficult Sonic game of the 8/16 bit era. I enjoyed this alot though . Just beware of the Green Hills Zone's Third Act or you'll be getting frustrated much faster .
It's a great game IMO. The difficulty makes it more harder then the usual Sonic games we see on the Mega Drive/Genesis. Sure the levels are short but anyone who plays this the first time round will definately have a hard time to complete this game.
I can't get into this game after buying this on the VC sadly. I guess it's the fact that it plays like the Contra series, only not as fun and the fact that you can't point up or down with the gun.
Plus the levels are dull for a Mega Drive game (I know the Mega Drive games are duller then the SNES but this is really dull) which doesn't help it as it is. I'm sorry for people who like/love this game but I just can't get into this game at all.

Re: Review: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (Super Nintendo)
Played it on GBA and it truly was a fantastic game! Must of replayed it 5 times at least!

Re: What Nintendo games do you want to see on the Virtual Console?
Super Mario Kart
Yoshi's Island
Re: Nintendo Download: Bits, Tanks, Ants, Commandos, Pulses and Brains (US)
Import weeks are worth waiting for guys.
Re: What Capcom games do you want to see on the Virtual Console?
Final Fight 3 will do me.
Re: What SEGA games do you want to see on the Virtual Console?

Re: What SEGA games do you want to see on the Virtual Console?
Sonic & Knuckles
Knuckle's Chaotix
Sonic CD (this one the most)
Re: Review: Pulseman (Virtual Console / Sega Mega Drive)

Re: Nintendo of Europe Announces Upcoming Hanabi Games
My bets are on the Nintendo games next week. Kirby and Startopics 2
Re: Nintendo Download: Hanabi Festival 4, Gradius Rebirth, Bit Boy!!, Brain Challenge and Mario Apps (EU)
Awesome! Pulseman has finally been released!
Re: Reggie Wants Your Dream Nintendo Franchise/Developer Pairings
Nintendo + Hudson Soft could do a unique Kirby game I think .
Wait...they did that Bombernan game with Wario didn't they? Well maybe a Wario game with Hudson since they have that in their collaboration CV.

Re: Molyneux: Nintendo Made Rare Too Secretive
Being secretive has it's advantages like Rum Rapture says. .
Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. (Virtual Console / Nintendo 64)

Re: Super Smash Bros. Available on VC This Friday
P.S: Just realised that Nintendo doesn't announce third party games so I am optimistic again!
Re: Vitality Sensor gets its first announced game
Looks more like something you find in a Gym when you've completed your excerises to measure your oxygen intake.
Perhaps this is for the health worriers out there (me included).
Re: Wii Sports Resort: now with online features!
This game looks good to purchase for the activities alone! Online only makes it even better, even if it was only for leaderboards.
Extra features will only be minor I think. Let's say medal based missions at most .
Re: Super Smash Bros. Available on VC This Friday
It's a good update but I already have Melee and Brawl. Was expecting at least 2 to make up for the absense...
Hope you Americans get it though.
Re: Nintendo Download: 9th June 2009 (Japan)
Looks like they have Super Mario Kart now...wish we'd get it soon but by the looks of Europe getting no VC titles for two weeks this is doubtful.
Maybe there is a pattern here. America didn't get LOZ:MM for at least a month after we had it. Maybe it's your turn guys!
Re: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Trailer
Cool visuals. Great it has multiplayer but 2 didn't quite grab me so I'll wait for the review .
Re: Review: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (WiiWare)
Considering the rise of cost of Wii Points here. It'll effectively cost £37 to buy the whole game .
I'm interested in this too but the packs should be at least half of that. It's a great review anyway .
Re: Metroid: Other M - Will Samus Get Sexy?
I hope making Samus look good doesn't effect the gameplay. I don't want to play a DOA Beach Volleyball version of Metroid. That's my opinion anyway.
Re: Nintendo Download: Final Fantasy, Even More Art, and Animal Crossing Apps (EU)
@Drake: Oh yeah, Daylight Saving Time. I forgot about that. Thanks man .
@Djungelurban: Yeah of course! I just pay less attention to it
Re: Nintendo Download: Final Fantasy, Even More Art, and Animal Crossing Apps (EU)
I thought it hasn't past 12 yet in EU? I'll wait one more hour .
Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Only Multiplayer At Home
I laughed at the idea that the game is using up all of the Wii's power. Let's take a look at the New Metroid for that excuse.
I'm not bothered about it being offline but making an excuse like that is pretty silly since it does look alot like the DS iteration.
He could have at least made the option available for people who wouldn't mind battling their mates online.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii To Feature Gamer Assistance?
In some ways I agree with Sean. Some of the Mario games aren't what I expected. Except the older Mario games.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii E3 Trailer
Awesome! Although why didn't this happen sooner.
Either way this is epic news!
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Announced for Wii
I thought it was the original when I first saw it on E3,
I'm happy for you guys but nothing has changed really from the first one other then adding Yoshi (whichis always a good thing).
Re: E3: New Wii Mario Game In The Works?
It's good to hear a new Mario game but what about the Kirby franchise? It's been too long since he's had his own game.
Re: UK Retro Computer Museum Open Day
Who would've thought that this'd happen?
I mean I expected some sort of museum for games but not to see the rare famicom hardware or games!
Great to see something like this and it's so close! I wonder if they should make a section like this at E3???
Re: Nintendo Download: Space Harrier Arcade, Fish'em All and Art Style: NEMREM (EU)
I don't see how one release justifies this? Although it's a good'un, I was really hoping for a Hanabi at the end of May for some reason.
Re: Introducing Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing
Sonic Drift 3?
Looks good. I've always wanted to go through Green Hill Zone in a car! Now it's a virtual reality!
Re: Hackers Expand Wii Storage, Door Now Open To Filthy Pirates
It's a dirty, dirty habit these people need to get out of!
What's next? They manipulate the games we enjoy?!?
Thought I'd lighten this up but it is seriously a problem for the legit people.
Re: Nintendo Download: 26 May 2009 (Japan)
Why haven't we had any Arcade games yet to add in our collection?
Re: Nintendo Download: Crystal Defenders R2, Penguins & Friends, PiCOPiCT and Pop Superstar
I predict a Hanabi Festival next week now .
Re: First Pokémon Heart Gold & Soul Silver footage appears
Awesome! I remember getting this on Import back in November 2000 when someone got hold of them. Great games but unfortunately the SIlver Versions have the tendency of the battery life dying sooner rather then later
Re: Nintendo Download: Masks, Crystals, Chess and Art (US)
Glad that you guys got Majora's Mask as the 300th title. I know it's been a long time coming.
Makes me wonder now whether we will get Super Mario Kart as our 300th title or the Hanabi Festival will overshadow that .
Re: Nintendo Download: Bit.Trip Beat, Dr. Mario, Magic and Galaxy Force II (EU)
I'm glad we are getting weekly updates instead of fortnights now.
As for a while I haven't been bothering checking the updates on the Wii at all. At least with this old way we get games slightly sooner instead.

Re: Nintendo Download: DSiWare, Equilibrio & Uncharted Waters (US)
Look at it this way, it was some kind of RPG. It just wasn't the one we all expected.
Personally, I thought you'd have got Majora's Mask AND two Arcade games to go with the launch.

Re: Sonic Chaos
Although it ain't as great as thr 1st two Master System games it's great to play despite the difficulty.
Worth the 500 points, I'd say more then the NES games .
Re: Dynamite Headdy
Same for me.
I'll take the plunge when I get some points .

Re: Modern Games Get a NES Makeover
How did the do that! Its amazing!
Would like to see a Halo cover or maybe even Conker in the NES Era
