Agree with Raylax...but parting with £230 this early on is taking a risk in the first place, good luck to those who find use out of the new handheld though.
Nice review Terra, definately one of those to play through the missions after the story is done. I like the graphics too...as it reminds me of what a PS1 KH game would look like.
My bets are on Nintendo releasing an awesome new IP after E3 (shortly after revealing it at E3). I think it'll happen simply because Miyamoto stated "It's time for a new character".
I can see why the 3DS Launch 1st Party titles are few and far between....which is a good thing as we can see what the 3rd parties offer in the meantime.
Does that include the Manchester Areas within Manchester? I hate going to Manchester but I live pretty close so I hoping the event also includes my town too...
One of my friends used to work for GAME and apparently has some connections there so he could test it out and tell me what it's like.
Not bothered but why don't they instead create a "Hidden Achievements" reward system for their games...so you have no idea how many are there or how to obtain them...only giving you a final "Special Accomplishment" achievement when you have found them all? That'd make exploring even MORE necessary.
Agree with MickeyMac on this one. I have always doubted this'd be decent...although I loved my SMAS cart, it was a "Best of" for the time with a "re-mixed" foreign game...but I expected this to be the same, only "without" SMW.
Saying that I doubt SEGA cando better from the news I have heard...
I feel sorry for Retro to get up at 5am for some info on changing the game, although I am glad they did, I totally understand the reason why they feel like it was abit too much and to those of us who don't do awkward hours to respect that these guys are dedicated to the cause as I know how it feels to execute strange hours to work harder, especially to appease those who really want the end result. XD
I remember borrowing Toy Story from my neighbour as he was stuck on Pizza Planet...before even watching the film I pressed down by accident when a kid walked past and shown him my skills in beating the game in an hour! Was very impressed back then to have done it.
I also remember having a Game Genie for my Mega Drive...it was essential for Desert Strike and Hellfire...both VERY hard games.
Funny how they don't know about the 3DS considering how many bought the DS....then again...maybe they are happy with their DS's so they feel they can enjoy their current DS before jumping onto the 3DS, or it could be that with the annual releases of the DSi and DSiXL they are very wary of the 3DS being merely an "upgrade".
As for the price it is too high...not everyone can afford to pay $300...especially for a handheld.
I heard the gameplay will be similar to Unleashed/Colours but I somewhat hoped that they'd build a menu to ask you whether to play it like the classics, Rush, Adventure/Heroes or Unleashed instead of the latter to be quite honest.
If that is confirmed I will purchase it in a heartbeat.
I don't think the UK has a history with the Metroid franchise.
I don't mean it in a negative way, I mean people who have played games in the UK haven't really played much of Metroid much outside of those who have grew up with a Nintendo System (I'm guilty of hearing about the series when Prime was out), maybe it'll pick up via Word of Mouth.
@Tasuki: I think they mean they'd like you to buy it as they want some profits from the game to release even more from their library, if you feel that they are being greedy (or the game doesn't look good to you) then don't pay for it.
You are right though that they shouldn't plead to customers to add games though...it's a risky business move.
SEGA's doing it to Valkyria Chronicle fans too (Buy VC2 on PSP so we'll put VC3 on PS3!)
Funny as Sony would benefit if the successor sells as many units as the Wii has/will as they partially own the tech and get a cut from those BR Disc sales...

Re: Features: Games That Should Already Be on Virtual Console
What about the Commodore 64 and Master System games?
I am sure they both have loads of games not on the VC. Cyber Shinobi, OutRun (MS, C64 & MD), Turrican (original), Quartet etc.
There's still at least 3 years worth of quality games left yet to be released.
Re: Nintendo Download: 11th February 2011 (Europe)
I agree with Bass X0, we'll get one next week.

Re: Talking Point: Is the DS Dead at Retail?
Noooooo! I wanted them to port Sands of Destruction to Europe before the DS has it's last swan songs of games.
Re: Mario Sports Mix Giveaway!
I probably got it wring, even if I did win I rarely use my third address. :/

Re: Konami to Take Over Hudson in April
On the plus side, Parodius would include Hudson's line up too including Star Soldier and Bomberman, Star Parodius?
Re: 3DS Launches in Europe on March 25th
£230 is too, too much for most people to pay for a handheld...especially in a Depression/Recession!
Re: Nintendo Praises Sony and Microsoft's Contributions to Gaming Industry
50% of Female users own a Wii, am I guessing 75% of those own Wii Fit? That is all I hear from my friend's, that their mother's use it to "keep fit".
Re: Roll Up, Roll Up For the UK 3DS Price Rumour Round-Up
Same price as the PS3....wow.
Re: Rumour: The D in DSi May Soon Stand for "Discontinued"
That's...unusual...did the game Boy Micro disappear as soon as the DS was released too?
Re: Features: Nintendo Life Reader's Choice Awards 2010
@Aviator: I'm also disappointed that Dark Dawn isn't up there.
Re: 3DS Could Help UK Games Industry Recover in 2011
Apparently the battery life is between 3 to 5 hours this time round. That's what I heard from NeoGAF anyways.
Re: Super Mario 64 is a 5-Minute Adventure With the Right Tools
They made Mario even more annoying. That's a world record for how many "Yahoo" 's he says within those 5 minutes.
Also, this is why Mario is considered the greatest jumper of all time.
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - January 2011
if Ninty/SE get the fan translation all is well. I really need to finish FFV but due to expensive GBA carts I'll wait for this.

Re: Review: Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (Super Nintendo)
Something tells me this is what inspired Pokemon with the breeding monsters bit.
So..,is this a mix of FF, Golden Sun and Pokemon? If so I may just get it...but was hoping for Terranigma to be released too one day.

Re: Nintendo Download: 15th October (Europe)
@MickeyMac: lol. When I first heard of Miffy I thought of something similar to what you just thought but it's something entirely different. XD
Sonic 4's pretty good for the most part.

Re: Feature: How ColecoVision Became the King of Kong
Nintendo's President was very clever...but also sly from how he did it.
I guess that was how Nintendo got to the top and remained there...through brutal business.
Re: Super Mario Collection Special Pack Revealed
Although I hope it is released for those who would like to buy it...isn't it just a Wii Version of Super Mario All Stars to mark the occassion?
I'd of thought most users here have them on their Wii's anyway via VC.
Re: Sega Emits a Spectrum of Sonic Colours Information
"FOXY FACT: Tails can read binary fluently. (So he’s one of the 10 types of people…)"
I honestly thought half of the internet would understand the simpleness of Binary in general. XD
In all seriousness, it sounds preety good...let's hope it lives up to the hype.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Japan Celebrating Mario's Birthday with Super Mario Collection
I hope it's a "Mario All Stars" version of SM64, Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion AND Galaxy.
Re: Review: Metroid: Other M (Wii)
@Swerd_Murd: I see, I haven't really played Duck Hunt so I may give this a miss.
Thanks for answering though.
Re: Review: Metroid: Other M (Wii)
I'm skeptical, not because of gameplay mind, I'm just not into FPSs.
Can this game be played in third person throughout or is the FPS necessary in the game?
Re: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn Set to Brighten Up November
I somehow don't feel excited for this...
Maybe it's because of the lack of it's original visuals...maybe it's because the animations look weird for the series....maybe because it's 3D?
I think I'll wait this one out until I see the opinions of others first....
Re: Nintendo Download: 27th August (Europe)
Somewhat surprised that they'll be releasing Samurai Shodown 3 next week...since apparently 2 is the best.
A better option would to release Metal Slug 2/3 or whatever is in line for the next release to replace X.

Re: 3DS Unlikely to Feature Achievements System
It's not 100% confirmed.
I'm not bothered either way...but we could see something different compared to the Achievement/Trophy gimmick.
Re: Super Earth Defense Force Enlists to Defend Europe and Australia
I wonder how America came to spell "Defense" instead of "Defence"?
Anyways, never heard of this but looks good for shooter fans.
Re: Review: Another World (Super Nintendo)
I liked "Heart of Darkness" better but if anyone beat this, good on them.
Re: Archie Writer Reveals Sonic Colours Comic, Hints at New Characters
Archie Comic fans rejoice! Erm....whilst the rest of us whimper in a corner.
Seriously though, the characters could just be comic bound like Princess Sally...

Re: Clean Yourself with Retro Nintendo Carts
Makes me laugh how "art" can go to extreme lengths (if it hasn't already).
Re: Get Ready for a Story Mode Full of New Pokemon in Black & White
That sort of sucks.
I liked capturing certain pokes that I had fond memories of in the new ones.
Re: Rising Star Wants to Know the Games You Want, Europe
Sands of Destruction. As SEGA won't publish it here.
I can't be bothered signing into another forum to ask a game ai know will never come here.
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th July 2010 (North America)
Shame no VC, WiiWare and DSiWare looks steady though.
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th July 2010 (Europe)
Wish they released one VC game these days.
Re: Nintendo's European Release Schedule Offers Few Surprises
What is "skies"?
That's listed as a Nintendo game too...
Re: Nintendo Download: 12th July (North America)
Or is it time to sing "Gone Away" to the VC?
Re: Yuji Naka Not Interested in Making Sonic Games
Pretty confused about the Sonic hate. Everyone has a different opinion on each game, just like the Mario games.
As for the topic at hand, Naka isn't the one who "made Sonic bad" as some have said, he left way before Sonic became a milked franchise.
I think he has made the right choice though and I hope to see even more great new IPs from him.
Re: Reggie's 3DS Date Confirmation May Have Been a Mistake
Hate to say I told you so.
Re: Reggie Confirms 3DS is Coming Next Year
I'd take it as a pinch of salt as he has been wrong before about stuff.
