What about the Commodore 64 and Master System games?

I am sure they both have loads of games not on the VC. Cyber Shinobi, OutRun (MS, C64 & MD), Turrican (original), Quartet etc.

There's still at least 3 years worth of quality games left yet to be released.

Agree with Raylax...but parting with £230 this early on is taking a risk in the first place, good luck to those who find use out of the new handheld though.

Nice review Terra, definately one of those to play through the missions after the story is done. I like the graphics too...as it reminds me of what a PS1 KH game would look like.

My bets are on Nintendo releasing an awesome new IP after E3 (shortly after revealing it at E3). I think it'll happen simply because Miyamoto stated "It's time for a new character".

I can see why the 3DS Launch 1st Party titles are few and far between....which is a good thing as we can see what the 3rd parties offer in the meantime.

One of my friends used to work for GAME and apparently has some connections there so he could test it out and tell me what it's like.

Not bothered but why don't they instead create a "Hidden Achievements" reward system for their games...so you have no idea how many are there or how to obtain them...only giving you a final "Special Accomplishment" achievement when you have found them all? That'd make exploring even MORE necessary.

On the plus side, Parodius would include Hudson's line up too including Star Soldier and Bomberman, Star Parodius?

£230 is too, too much for most people to pay for a handheld...especially in a Depression/Recession!

Apparently the battery life is between 3 to 5 hours this time round. That's what I heard from NeoGAF anyways.

They made Mario even more annoying. That's a world record for how many "Yahoo" 's he says within those 5 minutes.

Also, this is why Mario is considered the greatest jumper of all time.

Agree with MickeyMac on this one. I have always doubted this'd be decent...although I loved my SMAS cart, it was a "Best of" for the time with a "re-mixed" foreign game...but I expected this to be the same, only "without" SMW.

Saying that I doubt SEGA cando better from the news I have heard...

I feel sorry for Retro to get up at 5am for some info on changing the game, although I am glad they did, I totally understand the reason why they feel like it was abit too much and to those of us who don't do awkward hours to respect that these guys are dedicated to the cause as I know how it feels to execute strange hours to work harder, especially to appease those who really want the end result. I remember borrowing Toy Story from my neighbour as he was stuck on Pizza Planet...before even watching the film I pressed down by accident when a kid walked past and shown him my skills in beating the game in an hour! Was very impressed back then to have done it.

I also remember having a Game Genie for my Mega Drive...it was essential for Desert Strike and Hellfire...both VERY hard games.

Sonic 4's pretty good for the most part.

Funny how they don't know about the 3DS considering how many bought the DS....then again...maybe they are happy with their DS's so they feel they can enjoy their current DS before jumping onto the 3DS, or it could be that with the annual releases of the DSi and DSiXL they are very wary of the 3DS being merely an "upgrade".

As for the price it is too high...not everyone can afford to pay $300...especially for a handheld.

I heard the gameplay will be similar to Unleashed/Colours but I somewhat hoped that they'd build a menu to ask you whether to play it like the classics, Rush, Adventure/Heroes or Unleashed instead of the latter to be quite honest.

If that is confirmed I will purchase it in a heartbeat.

Nintendo's President was very clever...but also sly from how he did it.

I guess that was how Nintendo got to the top and remained there...through brutal business.

Although I hope it is released for those who would like to buy it...isn't it just a Wii Version of Super Mario All Stars to mark the occassion?

I don't think the UK has a history with the Metroid franchise.

I don't mean it in a negative way, I mean people who have played games in the UK haven't really played much of Metroid much outside of those who have grew up with a Nintendo System (I'm guilty of hearing about the series when Prime was out), maybe it'll pick up via Word of Mouth.

I hope it's a "Mario All Stars" version of SM64, Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion AND Galaxy.

Can this game be played in third person throughout or is the FPS necessary in the game?

I somehow don't feel excited for this...

Maybe it's because of the lack of it's original visuals...maybe it's because the animations look weird for the series....maybe because it's 3D?

I think I'll wait this one out until I see the opinions of others first....

Somewhat surprised that they'll be releasing Samurai Shodown 3 next week...since apparently 2 is the best.

A better option would to release Metal Slug 2/3 or whatever is in line for the next release to replace X.

@Tasuki: I think they mean they'd like you to buy it as they want some profits from the game to release even more from their library, if you feel that they are being greedy (or the game doesn't look good to you) then don't pay for it.

You are right though that they shouldn't plead to customers to add games though...it's a risky business move.

Pretty confused about the Sonic hate. Everyone has a different opinion on each game, just like the Mario games.

As for the topic at hand, Naka isn't the one who "made Sonic bad" as some have said, he left way before Sonic became a milked franchise.

I think he has made the right choice though and I hope to see even more great new IPs from him.

Hate to say I told you so.

I'd take it as a pinch of salt as he has been wrong before about stuff.
