Re: Super Mario 3D to Use 3DS Gyro Sensor

LightSamus

I don't care about the 3D effect, what I don't like is not being able do to this without sitting in an open area, what if I'm in a car or just sitting in a chair and don't want to move around to much? I hope they have secondary controls like the touchscreen.. I feel this way about FSP mode and aimming weapons in Ocarina of Time too..

Re: Ocarina of Time 3D Gets Boss Rush Mode and Helpful Videos

LightSamus

I used to have a spare save file which was just to re-fight the Spirt Temple boss voer and over without saving it.. so yay for Boss Mode.

Tip videos is kinda lame, sure it helps out some players, but I just don't like it (andddd que hate)

They said it was 'crammed with new features' I'm hoping it's more than just 'extra modes' I'm hoping for things like, stuff planned for the original that never made it out of Beta. Such as using the Temple medallions on C Buttons for Spells etc..

Re: Melbourne EB Games to Host Official 3DS Launch Party

LightSamus

I really want the 3DS, but none of these launch titles are appealing enough to grab right away. I've played Rayman 2 on the PC, N64 and original DS and have Street Fighter 4 on PC and Xbox 360. None of the other's are really my type of games..

It's weird not have a Mario game on launch :S

Re: Rumour: Using Piracy Devices May Disable Your 3DS

LightSamus

My friend has an AceKard2i or whatever.. he believes in try before you buy, if he likes a game enough he'll buy it. He says that sometimes a review just doesn't give you an idea on whether it's worth the money. Here in Australia DS games are $80, sometimes a little higher, it's just not worth wasting the money to find out you don't even like the game.

Re: Nintendo Issues Warning on 3D Image Safety for Kids

LightSamus

I'm one of those lucky people who are just effected by motion sickness, or sea sickness, I don't get headaches from watching movies all day or playing games for 7 hours straight.

The 3DS sounded great at first, but more of these warning are appearing, it might just be a precaution from the big N but at the same time it's got me a bit worried. I think after getting one for the few day I'll use 3D but probably just leave it off for a few months and see what becomes of others from it.

Re: Rayman 3D Rated by ESRB

LightSamus

I loved the original on PC, but I really did enjoy Rayman 2 better, throwing the little energy things was hella fun, i didn't like that it went back to throwing fists in number 3

Re: If Donkey Kong Country Returns is Too Hard, Use Super Guide

LightSamus

I kinda hate the idea, they shouldn't NEED this thing to make hard games, you can say it stops them turning away on less experienced gamers, but these days 90% of games on the Wii are for that demographic, they have enough games to choose from! So why should they need an excuse to make a 'tough' game for Wii. If casual gamers are scared of picking up a game they can't beat, QQ harder, put a label on it "not for casual gamers". When I finish a game with 100% completion, I feel satisfaction in knowing that many people out there probably can't achieve that, the Super Guide makes me feel like I went through the trouble to figure it out, when an 8 year old when watch a guide and achieve the same thing. (Don't bring up internet guides, it's completely different when it's built into the game).

Re: Review: Mario Tennis (Virtual Console / Nintendo 64)

LightSamus

on eBay you can get 'adapters' which plug into the gamecube port and let you plug in an offical N64 controller. Now i just wonder, if you were to obtain those + transfer pack + gamecolor Mario Tennis, would it let you unlock the GBC stuff, if yes - i'll go out and buy said items

Re: Don't Expect Lefty Link in Zelda: Skyward Sword

LightSamus

Dear Nintendo,

BLEEP you,

Regards,
Lightsamus

lol no but seriously, this kinda pisses me off, i loved Link as my left handed hero, hell it's why i even looked into Zelda in the first place. oh well good thing playing so many Wii games which enforce 'right handers only' controls has given me great coordination with my right hand.

Re: Mario Tennis

LightSamus

Argh I've been playing this game flat since i got it yesterday! I wish you could unlock the Guest players from the GameBoy Color, I loved Alex he owned on the 64

Re: Miyamoto Hints Towards Next Console

LightSamus

i never seen a N64 2, or a Gamecube 2, so i don't think Nintendo will be lame enough to call it Wii HD or Wii 2. (grants their was the Nes and Super Nes but since then they grew the F!@# up and got creative.)

I'm honestly hoping it to be 1080p supportive, but i didn't see a Playstation HD or an Xbox HD so including in the name would be a silly idea.

As much Nintendo want to define themselves, they have gotten their motion sensing ideas stolen by both Sony and Microsoft so i think it's time for them to bite back and make their next hand-held more like a media device with music and movies so piss of Sony lol

Re: Big Nintendo News Incoming

LightSamus

i'm hopefully 90% of these coments are troll cause some idea sound like they are from 12 year olds just screaming MORE MORE MORE without even thinking an idea over.

To be honest I'm not sure what to expect but I do agree with some saying that it won't be 'big' cause lately Nintendo are just disgraceful with their decisions and games. It's losing respect of many fans and unfortunately gaining new "gamers". pftt.

Re: Luigi's Mansion to Get Sequel?

LightSamus

I don't like the idea of New Play Control, if they do that at least add in more ghosts and wii-out the graphics and particle effects... other wise my Gamecube version of Mansion will go to waste just like other Cube games ported as New Play

A sequel? now THAT'S an idea I can get excited for, Luigi's Mansion was so fantastic, I loved every bit of that game!

Re: Rumored Zelda Wii Details Spill Online

LightSamus

@john6391 I 100% agree with you, and being a lefty myself it was a bit annoying when they mirrored TP of the reason 'it will feel wierd to shake the wiimote right-handed and see a left-handed Link swing a sword" err what about me Nintendo? I mean to me it'd be like changing Marios hat to Blue and saying it's because 75% of the world likes blue better then red! (Hyperbole, obviously lol)

But I love the idea of choosing handedness, specially since this is Wii Motion Plus controls.

Time travel is a bit dodge, many of my friend complain WW and TP didn't have time travel being that they had only played OoT, it would be unlike Nintendo to throw in time travel just to make those fans happy.

I love the idea of this girl NOT being the master sword, all the ridiculous "proof" of people going into insane-crazy detail about why she MUST be the master sword just frustrated me, seeing them being proved wrong would be ever so sweet lol

Re: Review: Secret of Evermore (Super Nintendo)

LightSamus

I've only played this game for a couple minutes at a friends house back in the SNES days. I would really like to beat it someday. I also hope Secret of Mana 2 (aka Seiken Densetsu 3) makes it to VC, Kevin was the MAN in that game lol

Re: Aonuma: Prepare for Zelda Surprise Next Year

LightSamus

@Luigi78 Majora's Mask - was F!@#ing amazing! One of my favorite Zelda games. It didn't need the Master Sword, and didn't need Ganon. But they hit the nail of originally on the head. It had true Zelda action and true Zelda side quests (Collecting fairy's in temples, all the masks, heart pieces).

I'm normally not too harsh but when it comes to my Zelda I am lol so if you're offended easily I'm quite sorry. First-person and/or RPG elements such as level raising would completely ruin the series.

Overhauling Zelda? It doesn't need a massive change, something easy that won't ruin Link at all could be jumping (even with rocks feather/cape) the game's difficultly and adventure could be upgraded if Link had the simple option to jump.

I'm already paranoid that MotionPlus will ruin Zelda. Try and think of Wii Sports Resort when you run around in the field slashing people down, sure it's fun - but it's not Zelda.

They changed Link to a righty for the wii in the idea that it wold make all the right-handers out there happier with the controls (the wiimote is usually placed in the Right hand), what about us lefties though? I loved having my hand preference in common with my silent hero. They should make his hand preference optional without mirroring the entire character/game.

Re: Miyamoto Unsure if Super Mario Galaxy 2 Will Include the Super Guide

LightSamus

@Machu

I think agree with you, seriously. "Oh zomg don't complain, it allows nintendo to make gamers harder" No it doesn't. They shouldn't need some damn excuse like "but it's okay guys we including a video replay walk-through - just copy us!". I won't feel any satisfaction on fully completing (with 100%) SMG2 if a 4 year old or a 45 year old soccer mum can beat it just as quickly with her little Super Guide. You can go ahead and say "but you don't have to use it" or "but people can already do that with the internet" but that's completely missing the point and you know it.
