Even if I have no Idea what Wifi would be used in Luigi's Mansion it would be cool if they had it.

I hope it's a sequel since I already own the original.

WOW...... this is a very good thing. Its about time Nintendo dropped a sequel to Luigis Mansion. Its one of the most creative experiences that Nintendo has ever developed and the WiiMote is Perfect for some Ghost Tuggin. Will definately be playing through this one.

I'd very happy with either situation. I liked Luigi's mansion a lot, it was a unique and charming little game. It would certainly benefit from wii controls, but an all new sequel would be even better.

I loved Luigi's Mansion, I would like to see a sequel and NPC original, which if they are planning a sequel it would be logical to release the original with NPC for those that missed it the first time.

It'd be awesome to see Luigi's Mansion 2 or an NPC version of the first. We just need more WeeGee.

No. People need to stop this kind of thinking. It's it's NPC! this is no longer acceptable because Nintendo will use it as a big release and further confirm that they have indeed become extremely lazy. It needs to be a sequel, a new game.

I wonder does nintendo read our comments we make on our club nintendo accounts because just yesterday I was filling out a survey to earn points for my NPC dk jungle beat and I said I would like to see more npc games and luigi's mansion was one of the games I mentioned the others were legend of zelda wind waker, f zero, mario kart double dash, and mario sunshine

the wi fi could be for multiplayer matches of catching ghosts ! you could play as Luigi, Mario egad and a toad and race around the mansion catching ghosts and at the end of the day (when time is up) they pour the ghosts in the machine and each players tube fills up with ghost juice and who ever fills to the top or closer wins

It would be so much better if this was a new game. Come on Nintendo make the effort, people will buy it, look at the success a pretty average Mario Bros game is having on the Wii, which is basically a DS game without the fun minigames. When was the last time you made a great game for the core audience Nintendo? You owe us.

Whether it's a simply NPC re-release or a full-blown sequel, Luigi's Mansion is one of my all time favorite games and I'm glad to see it getting some love.

I LOVED the original back on the Cube. I remember getting it along with Rogue Leader II when it was released for the GCN Launch. IGN totaly underscore it with a 7.4, or whatever it was. It's a 9/10 in my eyes. May be alittle short, but oh so sweet. Good times! If it's New Play Control I'll still be buying.

OMG! I just woke up for a nap and THIS is the news I see!!?? Please god in heaven let this be a Luigi's Mansion sequel! I litterally wanted to scream with joy when I read the headline. I have been waiting for this for so long but deep down I never really thought Nintendo would do it. Please not another port of a previous console's games, please Nintendo make a new one for Wii. I'm so fed up of being passed marginally improved SNES/PS2/GC etc games on Wii and DS. Lazy lazy lazy.

Make it a proper sequal and then have a special edition including a NPC Luigi Mansion 2! I have my eyes on the first one on eBay, so I'd buy a special ed with both a new and old revamped game in.

But I'm not coughing up for another lazy port.

I'd be happy either way as I've never played the original one. I'm not in the habit of picking up Nintendo games on the Gamecube (Chibi Robo! being the one exception because it didn't seem likely to be be coming out over here) because of NPC and sequel possibilities. The biggest issue regarding Gamecube games for me is that none of them seem to be made to support widescreen displays, so I'm not keen on the burn-in factor -- especially for something long like Fire Emblem.

I welcome more NPC games regardless of people's opinions of them as "lazy ports" -- not all of us had a Gamecube and there's plenty of other software for you to buy!

haven't played it on cube, but this could be a game massively improved by wii-controls, so i'd also like a npc-title, as well as a completely new game

I'd prefer a sequel over new play control, unless they made a double pack including the original game in 480p 16:9 with new controls.

Whether it is a Wiimake (New Play Control) or a brand new game for Wii, if it's done right it could be very cool.

The reason I think these ports are lazy is because so many games on the Wii seem to think taking a game thats five years old at best and adding a WiiWaggle on it justifies charging folk again for it.

There is plenty of other software, but look at how many of Wii's games are ports and/or re-makes.

I love my Wii and defend it to the death, but its hard when people at work you talk to with PS360s laugh because a previous generation game with added wii remote pointer control is what we get!

@Sean Aaron: I know what you mean about the widescreen support. One reason I'd like to see play control remakes of more games. There was a bit of sporadic widescreen support for gamecube. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_GameCube_games_with_ED_support

The other issue though is having to hold B for most games to get 480p output which can be a bit of a pain too.

F-Zero GX is my widescreen benchmark game which still looks good and runs at 60fps. I wish more Gamecube games had supported it.

I bought the original, used, to play on the wii, so Ill be annoyed if it's new play control. I guess it was a risk but it'll be annnoying. Hopefully it's a sequel.

If it's a NPC game like the Metroid Prime Trilogy then let them laugh, they may be older games but they are better than most new games could ever hope to be. NPC DK Jungle Beat and NPC Pikmin are worthy too, as they change up the originals. I'd agree that NPC Mario Power Tennis is laughable and lazy though. To be honest I don't think that it is just Wii games that are copy n' pasted from previous gens, a lot of my 360 games seem like last gen stuff just with fancier graphics. If the template that they use is good and it results in a fun game then I don't worry too much about it though.

I never played Luigi's Mansion on the Gamecube so I'd certainly pick up a NPC version, but like everyone says, a sequel would be better.

I hope Nintendo isn't lazy and makes an actual sequel.

I hope it's not a New Play Control game. In fact I hope we never see another such title. I want Pikmin 3 and Luigi's Mansion 2, not the old games with new controls. They need to put their efforts into making new games, not releasing old ones.

I think the IR pointing of the Wiimote would make ghost busting a lot more intuative, and if a sequel were to incorporate Wii Motion Plus, that could offer a lot more gameplay potential. Luigi's Mansion was criticized for its short lenght but I felt that, while short, what was there was engrossing and fun. A sequel could easilly build on what the first game did and create another Nintendo classic.

I don't like the idea of New Play Control, if they do that at least add in more ghosts and wii-out the graphics and particle effects... other wise my Gamecube version of Mansion will go to waste just like other Cube games ported as New Play
