Re: Rumour: New Nintendo NX Controller Images Surface and Set the Web Alight

LiamR

@yuwarite You did not prove me wrong. I made those comments and thus, I determine whether or not they were speculation. They absolutely were. There is no proving that wrong, no matter how you twist my words. Me having some information as far as discussing it with people behind the scenes does not stop it from being speculation.

Respect is earned. You implied that I couldn't read over comments I made about a video game. An attack. You cast the first stone there.

I'm not apologising. NintendoLife trusts me because I have proven to them privately time and again I can be trusted. I'm above the ToS.

Not reading anymore of your pedantic comments, so don't waste your time replying. Tread carefully if you want to continue on this site and don't be so rude in future when someone corrects you.

Re: Rumour: Star Fox Zero Facing Development Niggles, Another Delay Could Happen

LiamR

@roboshort Let me lay it down for you.

Devil's Third - Damon Baker himself said NoA was not publishing it to Nintendo Enthusiast. They later changed their minds. I never claimed it wouldn't be released - only that NoA wasn't publishing it when I said so in July. If that wasn't the case, they wouldn't have pulled it from the eShop and it would have been at E3.

Paper Mario - I have almost nothing to do with this. Emily Rogers was in charge of that, and she never said there was an announcement coming a week ago.

Also, I never said it was less powerful than PS4. That was a bit of speculation based upon a rumour going around that news sites wrongfully reported on. People often report on my speculation a as fact which is annoying for me as well. I do not claim that it's more or less powerful than PS4.

Re: First Impressions: Trying to Believe in Devil's Third

LiamR

@Dakt That is an incredibly rude and condescending way to look at that, especially given that you have zero evidence to back it up, just the mental gymnastics you just went through to come to that baseless theory.

On the other hand, sites like Nintendo Life and NWR, plus reliable sources like Emily Rogers have backed up everything I've said thus far; people who actually talk to NoA sources too.

You're welcome to believe what you want, but for what possibly reason would all of these different sites lie about this nonsense? What would that possibly achieve? Think about it. I am trying to help. You know nothing of my sources or my contacts and stop pretending like you do. Anyone who has worked with me on the past will tell you that I am 100% on the level. Even the editors of Nintendo Life themselves will tell you this. Look at this story, with input from none other than Alex Ward, which NL themselves ran: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/06/exclusive_we_almost_got_a_wii_u_f-zero_created_by_burnout_studio_criterion

Re: Multiple Sources Point to Nintendo of America U-Turn on Publishing Devil's Third

LiamR

@Sir_JBizzle I have no problems with you disagreeing, but you seem to be implying that Unseen64 is behind all of today's revelation and that we are some how the sources for Emily's information. That is factually incorrect. We are not. She, and many other sites, have revealed today directly from THEIR OWN NoA sources the truth about the situation, as printed above. Neither myself or anyone from Unseen was related to this. Believe what you want, but you seem to be under that misconception so I am simply correcting you.

Re: First Impressions: Trying to Believe in Devil's Third

@TheLastLugia Here's what really, honestly happened, as bizarre as the truth is:

When I reported it last week, it was as I said; Nintendo of America was NOT publishing it. Officially, the publisher is XSEED. NoA passed on it due to quality issues, as evidenced by today's previews.

Now, NoA is moving to reacquire the publishing rights. It's not just myself saying this. Here's NintendoWorldReport's article: http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/rumor/40743/nintendo-of-america-reconsidering-stance-on-devils-third

And NintendoEnthusiast: http://nintendoenthusiast.com/news/rumor-fan-outcry-prompted-nintendo-of-america-to-reconsider-devils-third/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Re: Cancelled Mario Volleyball/Wrestling Wii Title Comes to Light

LiamR

@Punished_Boss In terms of the Mario brand, do not forget. Certain aspects of the Spikers' wrestling were actually somewhat sadistic, as you can see in the Waluigi clip. 'Code of honour' is paraphrased from my conversation with the developer, but it is entirely accurate, I assure you.

Re: Cancelled Mario Volleyball/Wrestling Wii Title Comes to Light

LiamR

@GeminiSaint That came from someone who was very closely involved with Spikers. They were very confident in what they told me. 'Code of honour' was paraphrased from what they actually said, but that was the general gist of it. There is more info in the full article on the website.

Re: Cancelled Mario Volleyball/Wrestling Wii Title Comes to Light

LiamR

@Jaz007 Well, you can see more of the quotes from my exchanges with the source on Unseen64 if you want a little more detail, but basically, the way I interpreted it was that Nintendo viewed parts of its gameplay premise as unsportsmanly and dishonourable. You could sort of 'punish' the other players, like you see Waluigi do to Mario in the wrestling clip. It's slightly sadistic for a Mario game, as you can see. They didn't agree with the wrestling aspect in that way.
