@Automated_Unit_4937 It isn’t as though those companies aren’t equipped with the talent or resources to compress their file sizes better. They make a conscious decision not to invest in it because they have decided it’s not worth it and that people will put up with it. That’s all it is.
@GarlicGuzzler Hi. I made this video. What you’re missing is that it is a follow-up to a previous video from a couple of months ago which addressed the wider management issues at Activision Blizzard. It is brought up in the Crash video but you can find that here: https://youtu.be/KJlu9g8UEAI?si=v4kZGhPBCTS9A6qd
Some of the comments here are unbelievably ignorant. Getting your name in the credits is incredibly important. It can prove essential for getting your next job.
@bonjong23 No, he hasn't. He also had a lot of kind words for it as well and he's entitled to them given that he was instrumental in the creation of the game.
@SuperZeldaFun There is plenty proof of concept material in the video. They had a 3 year investigation into the technical specifications of it, including detailed analysis of radio frequencies and data usage.
@tobsesta99 There's stuff in this video that was not public knowledge prior to it being released, such as the Sonic & Tails Wonderful Ones and some footage of the first demos.
@Tsurii Literally nothing about my report was untrue. We got the info directly from Alex Ward himself, the person quoted in this very article! I spoke with him about this and the history of Black.
@KryptoniteKrunch I never made any of this up. We got this information from the very person in the quote, Alex Ward himself! He was quoted in my original video! I spoke with him myself. I NEVER SAID THEY WERE DEVELOPING AN F-ZERO GAME. All I ever said was that they were asked if it would be possible and were told not.
@YummyHappyPills Well, I wrote that original report from 2015 so this is an update on my own writing. I intentionally waited before doing this video, which has much more information from my original report, because it was unclear if they were going to release it or not. This is the FULL story with lots of new material. It's not some retread.
Guys, I never said I thought this was coming out this year. That wasn't even close to what I said. I actually said I would be surprised if it came out this year.
On the podcast, I was careful to stress that all of this information is unverified. I was asked what I had heard and so I shared it. I dunno if it's true.
@Dakt I've seen the prototype with my own eyes, so get down off your high horse. It was an open secret in the industry at the time and numerous people will back me up on that. I wasn't even the first to report on this.
Big fan of Jason's work. You should have asked about his relationship with Nintendo Software Technology and Project HAMMER too. He worked on that game and had a lot of the blame placed on his shoulders.
@TheRealThanos There is much more information in this new video. Previously, there was no footage from Sensory Sweep's version of the game. There were no real story details or a full cast list, or real, in-depth explanation of why both versions of the game failed.
@Captain_Gonru That's because the Wii version was never announced. The only versioned ever officially announced were the 360 & PS3 games being made by The Collective, Inc.
@Skunkfish "Be careful of these 'multiple sources' - many of them are really just relaying information that was gained from a single source. And there's a lot of Chinese whispers going on with people adding their own interpretations to the original information which is then being taken as fact."
As someone who has worked with everyone involved with this, I can tell you this isn't true at all. You have no grounds upon which to say this. It's total fantasy. Neal and Emily know their stuff and they don't do that.

@KryptoniteKrunch Also, everything about the NoA report was true. Plenty of other sites reported that as well. Not just me.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Metroid Dread was a real thing. I talked about it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFpLm3Dg7Yg
Re: Video: MercurySteam, Metroid: Samus Returns and the Prototypes That Were Rejected
@westman98 Why are you so petty?
Re: Video: MercurySteam, Metroid: Samus Returns and the Prototypes That Were Rejected
@locky-mavo Why is that clutching at straws? It's a video about what happened to the Wii U + 3DS pitch.

@Dakt lol
Re: Review: Blaster Master Zero (Switch eShop)
@gcunit What about the review being short suggests it will lack content? I don't follow that logic.
Re: First Impressions: Getting Some Laps In With FAST RMX
The Wii U game was amazing. Will be double dipping for the new content!
Re: EB Games Listing Includes Mario Kart 8 and Skyrim for Switch
It's not real because the numbers on the Mario Kart box are wrong and it's not called thar.

@Dakt Enjoy being spoonfed PR-friendly delusions by corporations, then.
Re: Castlevania Dev MercurySteam Denies It Ever Pitched A New Metroid To Nintendo
@Dakt It's my word and a dozen other people's, yes. Again, I wasn't the first person to report on this.
Also, damage control? The hell are you on about?

Re: Castlevania Dev MercurySteam Denies It Ever Pitched A New Metroid To Nintendo
@Dakt Incorrect. You have no idea of the work that went into it. MS embarrassed themselves by letting this leak and now they're trying to cover it up.
Isn't it strange how all of these many sites reporting on them are all "lying"? I don't buy into any of this.
