Re: This Design For A "Game Boy Evolution" Sure Is Intriguing

Jono97

Sorry guys.. I HIGHLY doubt nintendo will release anything like this. Based on their previous consoles... They'll probably keep the pattern of thick bezels, plastic screens, low pixel count, terrible cameras, plastic build, very slow operating system (seriously nintendo?).. Yeah.. you get the point.. Basically, when it comes to hardware with nintendo. never get your hopes up.

Re: Poll: As the PS4 Arrives, What Do You Think of the 'New Gen' Environment for Wii U?

Jono97

I doubt the Wii U will succeed... I mean... I'd rather buy a PS4 for little big planet , get an xbox1 for halo than get a Wii U for mario and Link. I already own a 3DS which does the job for that. In other words, the 3DS just might be why nintendo isn't doing that well with the Wii U. Furthermore, I think the Wii made a bad impression on nintendo when it comes to a gamers point of view.

Re: Poll: Is Nintendo's Wii U Advertising and Marketing Doing Enough?

Jono97

I reckon they are just not doing it properly. My mum knows that nintendo is... I've seen here see the Wii U advertisement and I bet you she still will have no idea what a Wii U is. I do have to say the advertisement uses some innovative designs, but, to parents, it just looks like any other ad. At least make it obvious that it's made by nintendo. like literally say "This is nintendos new console the Wii U"

Re: Atari Founder Nolan Bushnell Claims Nintendo "Could Be On The Path To Irrelevance"

@Yesrod45 Consoles were once much more powerful than PC's. In the N64 era, PC's were used mainly for typing documents. Floppy disks ranged around 2mb. Don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that Mario64 was bigger than 2mb. People are not as hyped for "next-gen graphics" anymore because they know it would look similar to what they have already seen on PC.
No, I don't mean hand holds have to be as powerful as a PC.. But...
There're plenty of decent games that are up to scratch with 3DS titles on the IOS/Android market. Take for example: NOVA, GTA, Shadow gun (they're also cheaper). Most of these games are compatible with ad-on controllers or even some android gaming device like the Nividia shield.
With exclusives is where I do agree with you. I know that many people buy a 3DS or WiiU for the brand or the exclusives. Nintendo did do a great job on keeping these exclusives alive. On the other hand however, Nintendo is slowly losing player interest. Almost all my friends have once owned a DS and/or Wii. And almost none of them own a 3DS and none of them own a WiiU.

@BraveBold5 I know I do not represent the mass population.. But I didn't buy my 3ds for any of the exclusives (but for the 3d). Hence, that's why I don't own a WiiU. Exclusives alone cannot drive sales. Although some of my friends do own a 3ds mainly for the exclusives, none of them own a WiiU. Why not? They don't see anything on the WiiU that appeals to them.

I kinda agree... The 3DS will do well this generation.. But for the next.. Nintendo needs to do something new. Next gen needs to be more than a DS... Consoles succeeded because they were more powerful than the regular PC. Now, it's almost the other way round. Mobile OS used to be slow and hard to use with minimal developer support. Now they're flooded with developers. Both good and bad. Nintendo's next gen will need to have something exclusive that people want and have certain features that are more superior than other mobile devices.

Re: Soapbox: Retail Games Cost Too Much To Download From The eShop

Jono97

Here in Australia... the RRP is $70AUD which is $63.41USD as of 14/07/13 [Used to be 1:1]. As you may guess.. on the eshop, it would also be $70. However, after a month, the price would drop and hover around $50-60 and the terrible ones would go down to $40. But my point is.. the eshop price will stay up at $70- a serious ripoff. If you know me... I'l only buy games for $40-50.. Not going to pay an extra 20-30 dollars for nothing.

The demo wasn't my cup of tea. It took me a long time to figure each puzzle. Ultimately, I ended up giving up. It's worth a second try... Nevertheless, the demo proved that the game had an interesting story-line which contains challenging puzzles.

Re: Wii U Resellers Captilise On Demand By Fleecing Consumers

Jono97

What's so special about preordering the Wii U early? I mean.. people are so desperate for preorders before the console has even reached the verge of being in the shops. But as Reggie claimed, they are under control with the stock. Personally, I'd like a Wii U, but, my parents XD

Re: Talking Point: Wii U Bundles Need to Suit Us All

Jono97

Unfortunately, the possibilities of me getting the Wii U is pretty low. My mum barley knows anything about video games and I haven't finished all my wii games(Supermario galaxy 2 and Donky Kong). This is unfortunate while I actually have this sense of wanting the Wii U.

When the release of the Nintendo Wii cam out on the news, I was a total newbie. So I'm like "HOW's this possible?"... Too bad I only started being a fan of nintendo when the DS i came out in Japan
