As Heroes of Ruin gets closer to its release on 3DS, publisher Square Enix is making sure that we know all about it. It's a title that promises, ultimately, to set a new standard in online gaming on the handheld, with online coop, voice chat, daily challenges and StreetPass all in one bundle.
Of course, being packed with features won't guarantee success for the action RPG, or that it will be a good game, but it's a good foundation. Time will tell whether it'll live up to its promise, but in the meantime below is another gameplay trailer that shows off what's in store.

Damn, Youtube is very slow at the moment. Have to wait with the trailer.
@Terave Tell me about it, I couldn't load up videos before until I plugged an Ethernet cable in.
Anyway, I'm getting more and more excited for this game.
Hopefully it lives up to expectations.
Hurry up and come out.
The reviews so far all say "meh" so I will wait for a demo or something..
(or a great Nlife review ofc.. (: )
I expect this will review poorly as reviewers will spend the great majority of their time playing single-player, which I can't imagine is much of an experience.
I'd love for a review outlet to prove me wrong though.
A game like this shouldn't be reviewed by a person, but a panel, of 4 people, who all played the game together for 10-15 hours.
i want to re-live the goold days of hack n slash rpgs, when i used to play champions of norrath or baldur gate dark alliance with friends.
i hope we will be able to play it with the joystick and not only with the stylus.
@Djrr-ific What reviews? The game isn't even remotely out yet. I think you mean previews in your post.
The game certainly looks good and reminds me of Phantasy Star Online. Maybe it's because I've been playing Borderlands a lot recently but this game has suddenly piqued my interest.
@Djrr-ific Is there reviews out? I can't find any. :S
@Xilef Yeah, they're all in the 6 range.
I want this game to be good.
@BalrogtheMaster Realy? That sucks. Can you post a link to them?
http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=176815 - Console + scores are out, they gave it a 12/20.
@BalrogtheMaster How is giving 12/20 a review?? They are randomly giving scores, what a dump site. Wait for legit reviews I say. P.S. - Those so-called "review scores" posted on GoNintendo are from a "Consoles+" magazine or something, never even heard of this name, probably attention seekers
It is a blog not a magazine and it's a French blog. So I wouldn't put much stock in it. Wait for IGN and Nintendo Life's review. I have this pre-ordered and can't wait for it to come out.
@BalrogtheMaster When I google Console + I can't even find who that is. The numbers at gonintendo don't lead to an actual review. I think I'll wait till I see more reliable sources talk about it.
@mumof2kids82 I agree. I would rather listen to review scores from more reliable reviewers.
@cyrus_zuo That how a good amount of reviewers do it, actually. Reviews will often talk about their time playing online, implying they have had friends play it with them (Other times just simply stating they played it with a friend) and if you look at games that incorporate a lot of online you'll find more reviewers talking about their time online with it. I expect the reviewers to do the same with Torchlight II because the first didn't feature multi-player whatsoever.
@BalrogtheMaster Well, I'm not seeing any real "Reviews" on that site. It looks to me more like they're giving out scores based on previous impressions of the game. The game is in the ending stage of development, so I don't see a way they could have gotten a review copy. I'd imagine they're "Claim-to-fame" is they put reviews up first, but when you put a review up for a game that's 6 weeks away from release it imply's that 1. The developer has the game done but prefers that launch window, and needs time to hype the game or 2. Your lying about actually "Reviewing" the game. Either could be correct, but I'm leaning more towards #2.
@SkywardLink98 Well I have no idea if they're faulty lol, but they're a French gaming magazine. http://www.jvn.com/blog/consoles-plus-le-blog-officiel.html
I'll leave it for you to decide, I don't speak French
This'll be cool to play with my friend.
Am I the only one who thinks they should optimize it a lot? I see it extremely choppy for a game which has no reasons to lag that way (not graphical at least). Besides, it seems quite generic. I wonder if it would have created so much hype if S-E wasn't behind it.

Still saving up to get my preorder for this on paid off. Daily challenges in 4 player co-op should be fun.
The graphics of this game are so bad!!!!
At first I was very happy to see them working on internet features a lot. But, now, I find there are many places that can be improved dramatically. Perhaps better graphics?
@clubmini If I remember correctly the game has random generated dungeons, put that and the online together and it's clear that they couldn't do the best graphics that the 3DS could handle, or so I would think.
That said the graphics look fine to me.
Has there been any information how the coop works? Voice chat is pretty useless if the participants don't speak the same language.
Am I the only one who thinks this game looks,to put it bluntly total crap.
I'll wait for the reviews first mind, before I decide to get it.
Anyone who has a review score out already is a hack and a liar. No one has officially reviewed it for a site yet. You can start believing them when there's a week left until the game drops in stores.
