WiiWare may not be short on quality puzzle games featuring cubes, what with You, Me, and the Cubes, Art of Balance, Art Style: Cubello and more, but Robotube's Bloktonik won't be beefing up the service's line up this year as it's slipped to 2011.
In a post on the company's blog, founder Jason Cirillo said:
I’ve gotten a lot of emails asking where Bloktonik Wii is… and I hate to say it, Bloktonik WiiWare will not be dropping in 2010. I’m sorry.
If you're not sure why this is such disappointing news, perhaps you haven't played the free Flash version of Bloktonik online.
In slightly happier news, Mr Robotube will appear in the newly-announced BIT.TRIP FATE, on the way to WiiWare later this year. Chin up.

2011???? Too bad...
Hopefully the WiiWare version will have more responsive controls. The online version was extremely laggy when I just tried it. (Sometimes the controls were totally unresponsive, but this may have been to a 'net connection.) The game seem to run fine, it's just the controls that wouldn't work half the time.
I am probably going to download this game just because of the connection to FATE. Same goes for Super Meat Boy.
Can we call it Robot-nik for short?
I'm a bit disappointed, but there's a host of good retail games coming up, so it's probably for the best.
