1. look at something critically: to examine something to make sure that it is adequate, accurate, or correct
2. give opinion on something: to write a journalistic report on the quality of a new play, book, movie, concert, or other public performance
There are subjective, objective, and a mix of both. Many gamers depend on objective reviews to see what games are worth buying since it focuses on the content itself. Subjective reviews are the personal feelings and thoughts about a game and how it. The mix is an intelligent review with flair. Okay, perhaps that wasn't the best way to explain the last one, but you do get what I mean right?
There is a difference between liking a game, and if you think it's generally good. The mix obviously mixes those two into the score. The subjective base it on how much they liked it, and objective's scores base it on the actual quality. Of course, people's senses of quality may be different, but it's far different from opinion; it's your thoughts.
As for not adding same sex (romantic) relationships because of certain features, the best example would be Fire Emblem Awakening.
SPOILERS.
Many complained about no same sex marriage in the game because of discrimination, but there's actually a significant reason for it: marriage between two characters triggers a sidequest, where you can recruit the future child of that couple. They couldn't do that with same sex marriage.
@shadowhive I've never heard publishers and developers saying "Oh, the Bible says same sex relationships are bad, so let's not include them".
They don't include them because they don't want to be offending (which is sad), or adding a gay relationship doesn't support the narrative, features, or the point of the game at all.
Yellow isn't the best Pokemon game since the Pokemon games at the very least, slightly improve over the last generation. If you mean best, as in your favorite, or best for me, I suggest not using bold words like "best" as implication for your favorite.
@Xilef You shouldn't add "at least in my opinion" to your argument on what you genuinely think. Unless he's stupid, he'll understand what you mean. You don't need to clarify anything.
1. Tempted or not, it obviously seems that Peter Moleneux was a Nintendo CEO he would put it on the ipad. Super Mario Bros. would make a ton of cash on iOS, that's why he'd do it.
2. I'm pretty sure he was referring to Super Mario Bros., not any random thing with Mario's name branded on it.
3. Your logic doesn't make sense. You think that Nintendo won't survive, but Xbox and Playstation will? "if they don't like Sony they can make future Mario games for the future Xboxen". The Xbox's sales is a joke in Japan, so they wouldn't put games on there. The reason I don't expect Nintendo to fail and Sony to continue, is that Nintendo and Sony both have a console performing poorly atm. The hype for the PS4 is weak, and sure, devs and publishers are pretty much worshiping the PS4 now, but didn't they do the same with the Wii U? I'm sure if the PS4 has bad sales, they'll turn their corporate backs on it immediately.
@Justaguest They didn't add it in the game in the first place because of cultural differences, not being homophobic. You don't have to do extensive research on this, just read the comments. The glitch allowed men to get pregnant, since the game saw the male Mii as a female. Of course they're going to remove that.
To be fair I wasn't going to buy it in the first place, and perhaps I'm weak-willed when looking at fictional violence at GTA level (but I'm not against them, of course). Given that this is a popular franchise, it would help the Wii U, and I say the more games the better. I hope this rumor is false, and if it isn't, let's prove them wrong about being unprofitable by buying Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell.
@Gameday After the devs send their game to the publishers for approval, there is a 2-3 week period of doing nothing for the developers. Making Day 1 DLC in that time gap, would save time, and would be productive.
@Ambassador_Kong Yeah, but they're programmers, it's obvious that they didn't just put the raw engine in. They can easily slightly change it for the Wii U programming. It can and should still run.
@th3r3ds0x Us Wii U owners won't miss out on a bunch exclusives. It's not as bad as the Wii. We'll only miss out if it doesn't sell. Publishers will consider the Wii U when making games if they find it to be profitable.
@chiptoon Do you have a fear of guns? It'll still be combat based even if there weren't guns. Most fantasy games we play are combat based. Does it make any difference if a guy is carrying a sword, but it's bad if someone carries a gun? I won't make fun of you if you have a fear of guns, they can empower anyone including ones you fear most, but if we can separate a sword from reality and know it's fiction, why can't we do that with guns?
Just give us good games, and don't set your expectations too high, Capcom. I don't care whether it's Megaman, Monster Hunter, or Revelations. If you make a good game, I'll give you money. None of that boycotting crap when you're doing something good. You don't have to make a Megaman game, just make ANY good game.
Poor guy, probably wants to play Mario on his smartphone very badly. He should just get an emulator if he's that desperate.
I digress. The gamepad screen isn't innovative because it's a touch screen, or becuase it's a second screen. It's the possibilities and ideas that can used with the gamepad.
Something a company or person did in the past should not represent them in the present. Yes, the Wii U launch was bad, but probably due to the bad 3DS launch. Why? If they planned better for the 3DS, they would've had more time for Wii U games. Shows how much one or two mistakes can mess you up in the future.
Super Mario Bros. on mobile devices? How would the controls even work? Yeah, they could use digital D-pad and buttons, but wouldn't running and jumping be awkward on a touchscreen?
They seem to do Miiverse very well (I'm not looking forward to PS4's streaming facebook). Despite the fact it's almost impossible to debate with people there, you gotta give em credit for that.
@Luigifan141 None of them were good in the first place. I'm not saying opinion, as in, I like it so therefore it's good, or good for me. I'm saying generally good. It always had a bad narrative, and execution of narrative. All of the characters were wood, in terms of acting and personality. Sure you can picture an in-depth persona for them using tiny details in the show, but it's just like forcing yourself to understand Bowsers reasons for kidnapping Peach. I like this show, but it's definitely not good in terms of quality, and has never been. Watch Nostalgia Critic's episode on this for a non-Pokemon fan view on the show (or at least the movie that everyone loves).
I don't understand the Sports games hate. If it's fun it's fun, and if other people like it, let them like it. Yes, they release it every year with minor improvements, but people buy it, so clearly they want it.
Wii U isn't underpowered, it's not as big of a difference in power than with the Wii and PS360. Or so I've heard. Ports will consider the Wii U, as long as it sells. Than we'll see if it'll be like the Wii.
@bezerker99 That was a joke right? 3D Mario, Mario Kart, and SOMETHING from Smash Bros. Not to mention several Nintendo Directs during E3, surely they can't just show Nintendo Directs for Pikmin 3.
@Luigifan141 I'm pretty sure all of them dragged out, they just talked faster in the older ones. I'm not sure if you watched the whole DP saga, but I watched the whole thing. You know how you can make out the personalities and hidden traits of a character if you tried? That's the kind of thing people do with the old characters, so just pretend Paul has a complex personality (at least he's more complex than Gary in the first season).
I'm pretty sure a saga, is all of the seasons per region. Like what Dragon Ball Z did. I'm guess you watch the Japanese versions.
Some of the seasons may be slightly worse than the others, but my point still stands. Most of the complaints made by consumers toward the newer series, can be easily applied to the first. Competing for the worst Pokemon season in the first place is difficult since none of them were exactly good in the first place.
@DePapier I read it the same way as you, but I started getting confused when Youtubers, and commenters were saying no press conference, so I kept quiet.
People always complain about bad-voice acting, bad story, bad characters, bad pacing. All of these things were present in the first season.
For the people who actually complain about too much Pokemon, there was too many from the start. For those people that say it would've been darker, and Ash was going to grow up, the producers knew what they were doing, go watch the first episodes and tell me it wasn't meant for kids.
You're not a young child anymore, and you know the ins and outs of Pokemon, that's why it's not entertaining anymore. And even if you are a young child who doesn't like it, it could be because (A) The child is not interested in action/adventure/ has an early sense of quality. (B) Knows the ins and outs of Pokemon. (C) They don't like it?
Given the look of Megaman and the grittier style, it's no wonder why they had polarized views. Megaman was cartoonish, so a leap like that would be odd. They didn't change much of the designs in Prime.

@WiiURockz Defintion of review
1. look at something critically: to examine something to make sure that it is adequate, accurate, or correct
2. give opinion on something: to write a journalistic report on the quality of a new play, book, movie, concert, or other public performance
