Re: Soapbox: Why Region Locking Is A Total Non-Issue

@Lin1876 "Just because something has always happened does not mean it needs to keep happening"

Damien didn't say he was against no region-lock.

What you said could be applied backwards. Just because something could end, doesn't mean it has to end. Whether Nintendo removes region-locking or not, it won't make too much of a difference since this isn't too much of an issue for most people.

Re: Armikrog Officially Coming To Wii U

@burstwagon80 People have a choice to decide to buy or not to buy a game because of just one guy's opinion.

There are other people on the team, and one person's wacky view on gays will not stop me from playing a seemingly good game. If it stops you because you think it's important enough, then do it.

Re: Impressions: Multiplayer is a Big Deal in Nintendo's Wii U Lineup

@NINTENBOY Super Mario 3D Land requires lots more cooperative play than the NSMB series, at least from what we've seen. Whenever you go too far off-screen, you'll bubble back toward the player. Do you really think that'll be fun with the monstrously godly players online? Do you? The same guys who somehow are so good at online Brawl even though it's super laggy. That'd be great. I can't wait to see them play without lag.

@edcomics I guess trying to be polite by using words like "I suggest you think about it" instead of "Think about it, dude" only makes me sound like an angry man trying to use kind words to impress someone.

I never claimed that the Gamepad is a selling point like the Wii since the uses aren't as surprising for the public as the Wii remotes. I was merely explaining the differences of possibilities between the DS and Wii U. I said think about it because there are more ways than the examples I had given that show the differences of the two-screens of the two consoles.

Re: Nintendo Falls Under Further Pressure Regarding Conflict Mineral Policies

@3dsFanatic4419 The phrase "what's wrong with you?" used when someone does something you seem inhumane, nonsensical, or lazy is distasteful. It implies something's wrong with one because they don't meet the expected standards of another. Doesn't it sound like the person saying "what's wrong with you?" is acting superior?

"what's wrong with you?" doesn't always imply negativity. Just in certain circumstances. Such as the use of it by many of the ethical users above. I'm certain they don't mean the implications brought with the saying, but I hope they keep what I've said in mind.

@Chunky_Droid They're uneducated on the subject, and caring without knowing what you're caring for is dangerous, and perhaps stupid.

If they do know the subject and don't care, bare in mind, your exact moral standards don't apply to anyone but yourself. As one might be against slavery but all for the death penalty, or any other example of conflicting ethnicity.

Not to mention the internet breaks the barrier of expected cultural specific common sense, morals, and ideals.

Re: Iwata: We Are To Blame For Poor Wii U Sales

@edcomics The DS has the screen stuck together. The Wii U's gamepad isn't stuck. That actually means a lot more than what the cover seems. I suggest you think about it. Like how one person uses the "top" screen and one uses the "bottom" without even seeing each others screen. There are plenty of other examples I could use to prove it can bring experiences not found on the DS other than better graphics.

Re: Iwata: We Are To Blame For Poor Wii U Sales

@Fazermint Do you know how many game consoles cough PS2 cough were sold after the 360 and PS3 were released? From looking at what you've said, you're predicting the Xbox One and PS4 will be very successful to the point of no one wanting the old consoles.

The industry is in a dangerous point, and so is the economy. You think people will choose the expensive next-gen consoles over the cheap current-gen consoles they didn't finish buying?

Re: Steel Diver Will Be Nintendo's First Free-To-Play Game

IIaprghwrughapiw

@ricklongo What you're referring to is the sub-euphemism "pay-to-play" and "pay-to-win". The free-to-play stereotype is very annoying. I know BlackBond isn't exactly popular with Nintendo fans (or me), but I suggest looking at his montage of F2P games he made when someone said they only nickel and dime. If Nintendo does the free-to-play model in a respectful consumer-friendly way, like TF2, there's nothing wrong with it.
