@Not_Soos I'm not judging anyone. Please don't look too much into what I said or interpret what I said as an attack on Sega or this family. Specifically talking about the reporting, just interested in the timeframe.
I also don't really understand this story as reported. It was discovered in the Mega Drive Mini credits, so she had passed away several days/weeks ago?... Since she was added into the credits and these are just about to ship, was this added before these went into production?
Terrible if this happened a while ago and we are just hearing about it.
@Fath I stand corrected... however Charles Martinet is also a film actor and has other accomplished roles. His net worth is not based on only voice acting work, which is what I was referencing.
Sorry for not making that clear.
Edit: Also Martinet has voiced Mario more than on one occasion. I imagine is value is much higher than Helena having only voiced twice so much easier for the studio to move on. Not condoning, as I originally did stated it was a bad offer... There is still no fault here.
I don't understand the issue.. Platinum did nothing to her but give her a bad offer. She decided to not take the offer. She clearly wanted more based on the sales and value of the franchise by her opening statement. Unfortunately, voice actor pay is based on quantity of dialogue, not how popular a franchise is.
If they went by the standard of franchise value equating to more pay Charles Martinet should be a millionaire.
@PokemonDMG I wish I had gold silver and crystal to play on the pocket…. I currently only have red blue and yellow, Yellow being my childhood copy with the special edition yellow and blue Pokémon game boy
If you look at the image on the box there are two little black pegs on the base of Green Hill Zone… Implying there will probably be other level add-ons you can attach to this scene.
I wish people would learn to educate themselves before making comments. Japan’s issues with the vaccinations are not because people don’t want to get vaccinated, it’s because in Japan you can only be vaccinated by a medical nurse or doctor. They just don’t have enough people to administer the shot in a quick manner. It isn’t because people refuse to get vaccinated as many people like to speculate.
Japan has actually asked other countries for assistance in sending nurses and doctors over to help vaccinations, but Unfortunately many do not want to help.
I recommend most people ignoring this reviewer And just focus on other reviews in regard to gameplay critique. The game is a little fuzzy in the textures and there is some pop in, But the puzzles and exploration aspect of this game are incredibly enjoyable. The game is also much lengthier than most Metroidvanias releasing on Switch these days.
Article title is a little misleading. The article reads more like the lawfirm is implying, by their own statement, that Nintendo believes “Joy con drift is not a real problem“. Nowhere in the article has Nintendo actually stated themselves that it is not a real problem, as the title implies.
@ogo79 yes, 100%. There is a map, item upgrades for progression, sidewuests, And backtracking... There are even side quests which are optional but also add more lore to the story
Took me 30-35hrs to complete and this is surely not one to miss. Definitely for someone who prefers a more challenging MV with fun platforming, akin to Hollow Knight. I will certainly be double-dipping for this one!
On one of the Steam reviews for the game it states this is not a Zelda game and doesn’t play like one, there are no maps, the only weapon is to throw rocks/pots, and assets were used from a third-party sprite asset pack. If all of this is true, there is nothing of interest for me here
@noswitchbutidc Overrulled! You are correct, however I used the term “Speedrunners”. A computer is not a speedrunner, it is a tool used to perform an assisted speedrun 🙃
@andykara2003 It is different because it isn't emulation. Emulators emulate the hardware in order to run a ROM, which may have emulation inaccuracies. It may not be noticeable to you, but Emulation still isn't 100% accurate.
This is the same as running the ROM on N64, but it is built for the PC hardware. In theory, this is the same version on SM64 that you would play on the N64. Imagine a remaster for a new system... you have to take that original code and rebuild it for a new system so it runs like the original hardware - that is what this is.
Example: Speedrunners run games on original hardware, not on emulated hardware because of miniscule differences that may make the emulation inaccurate.
Just an opinion, but don’t really know if Owl Boy is a real Metroidvania. Definitely more of a linear action-adventure game. Fairly short and not really open to much backtracking either.
I don’t think guides will diminish the fun of this amazing game (and its even better sequel). I like to look at it like this... if you play with a guide, it is the equivalent of Indiana Jones using his fathers diary to find the Holy Grail. If you play these games without a guide, than it is more like Raiders of the Lost Ark, where Jones discovers clues to the Ark on his own. Both great experiences and guides definitely don’t negate them
There is a google docs page that I found on gamefaqs.com that has over 300+ cheat codes for shovel knight. There are a couple fun ones to play around with, such as a giant Shovel Knight sprite.
@Qeuix @Gioku @Royalblues.. I'm 26, a parallegal for a lawfirm, and have Pokémon Y... First game was Yellow... Stopped for over a decade, dabbled in Black but disnt get into it, bought Y and became obsessed... For us older folks that love to gamble, it really quenches your thirst... And I have like 85 friends on my 3DS because of Y... It is a rock solid game
I have a 3Dtv and this game on Wii U. Honing through the 3D modes I have not come across any 3D working on the pad... That being said the stereoscopic 3D for the TV works great within the game, though some cut scenes are kind of shaky... Posted the same comments on Miiverse on Sunday, Grocery_bag is my ID, friend request me me
@PinkSpider yes there is wii remote and nunchuck support, you also still use the game pad side-by-side as a "in game menu" to control options and settings when using these controls

PC version takes just as long to load as switch, regardless of setup. Still both a 10/10 in my book, Portal 2 is a S-Tier game.

Re: Switch-Bound Metroidvania Cathedral Looks To Give Shovel Knight A Run For Its Money
This game is INCREDIBLE! I played It on Steam when it first came out and it easily became my game of the year that year (link for my review: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198041603317/recommended/1056180/ )
