I've never played these games, but this one looks fun and something perfect on Switch. Having played Pokemon TCG and Magic in the past, and enjoyed Hearthstone, would this be a possibly good plunge into Yu-Gi-Oh?
I'm excited to grab Star Fox 64 3D (what a clunky name, haha) for $20! That game has been expensive here in the states for a long time now. I wonder what other games they'll add to the Nintendo Selects line as the year goes on. Fire Emblem titles?
I ordered the special edition of this game that the site posted awhile back in August. I'm excited for this to come in! I'm at the end of Hollow Knight, so this seems like a good time to jump into the game.
I would absolutely LOVE if they ported over Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I didn't finish it on the Wii U and would love to have this on the go. JRPGs on the go (ala 3DS) are the only reason I've been able to finish them as I'd play them while commuting.
I saw Mega Ran at E3 in 2013, and he's really great. Cool to see him on this compilation. He's got some great albums out there if you're interested in game rap and hip hop.
@TerrapinJess I'm at the tail end of Apocalypse - about 60 hours - and the last dungeon is so annoying that I shelved it for something much more happy: Pokemon Sun, haha.
I only paid for one DLC - "A Godslayer Needs Apps" - and didn't regret it. It seriously makes the game much easier to get through if you're playing it for the story and cuts the grinding down a lot.
Also, not really a spoiler, but the final final final dungeon is the worst padding to extend a game that I have EVER played. Be prepared for a long slog at the end if you choose a certain route...
I visited my town last night after seeing the 15th anniversary video, and felt so sad when my village animals all said they thought I had gone for good. I hung out in the village, picked the weeds, and realized that my house is a hoarding disaster in the game. Oops.
I agree with IGDA. They are right to call out Nintendo on this issue because NOA's actions have indeed empowered Rapp's antagonizers and we should not be surprised and indeed expect campaigns of harassment like this to continue in the industry until a company finally says enough and stands by their employee.
Looking at it another way, this affect's a publisher's income. Developers have already pulled out from developing for the WiiU as a result of this termination. Actions like this will affect the company's bottom line and prevent players from experiencing these games on their console, so if it was a game they really wanted to play, they will go elsewhere. Maybe it's the financial aspect that will finally cause companies to stand by their employees in situations like these.
Is there anyone here who has a spare Mew code by chance? I went to my Gamestop and they said they gave away all the cards on the first day and never got another shipment in. :
This is sad news. It's a really good game and experience. If you have access to other consoles or a PC, highly recommended. It's an important piece of gaming.
It's tricky to set up with Bluetooth on OSX - you'll have to update the firmware on the controller and then use the START + B set up option for emulators like OpenEMU. The OS will recognize it as a keyboard in that instance.
@THENAMESNORM - it will work on the Retron5 according to the 8BitDo site. You have to enter in a certain button sequence.
I don't think they're flat out saying the game is racist, but it is a VALID fact to point out that the game is indeed inherently white. While some people may not think it's a problem, to some people it is, thus their need to bring up the fact that the game is very white. To ridicule a poster for bringing up that point is indicative of a culture where race is still a tricky subject and actually validates their point and concern.
Also, it's important to note that this game and its imagery are purely for what they expect a heterosexual male gamer to play and desire. As a queer gamer, I see this game and just roll my eyes as it's so obviously based on objectifying women in a creepy manner. Sure, it has every right to exist, but we can do better as people and gamers.
