You have to download difficulty modes and the unlock of the level cap? Why?
Also, €33 of DLC within the first month or so of launch... I've never played any SMT games besides Tokyo Mirage Cessions #FE, but it doesn't even sound like good stuff. A few cosmetic items and some short missions that get you more items is worth €33 to DEEP Silver?
@Mega_Yarn_Poochy Most of SMT dlc is poor or totally passable. SMTIV has 3 or 4 worth the purchase, everything else sucks.
I bought this day one and haven't played it yet...
My backlog is extensive! I have however gotten quite far in the first one and absolutely plan on eventually playing this... the games are so long! I still have to start Devil Survivor 2! Speaking of that, Atlus is still supporting that game- I get notifications consistently that there were new fusions added.
I may dip into this DLC when I start playing it finally. Right now I'm crushing Sun and trying to beat Majora's Mask again. Then finish Gurumin. Then finish Popolocrois.... ugh.... so many games and they're all excellent! 3DS <3
I only paid for one DLC - "A Godslayer Needs Apps" - and didn't regret it. It seriously makes the game much easier to get through if you're playing it for the story and cuts the grinding down a lot.
Also, not really a spoiler, but the final final final dungeon is the worst padding to extend a game that I have EVER played. Be prepared for a long slog at the end if you choose a certain route...
@TerrapinJess I'm at the tail end of Apocalypse - about 60 hours - and the last dungeon is so annoying that I shelved it for something much more happy: Pokemon Sun, haha.
Geez, that's a lot of day one DLC. Repulsive!
I'm not really fussed about any of that DLC, I just want the game already! SMTIV is my favorite turn-based RPG of all time, so I've been looking forward to this since it was announced. I'm so grateful this is not one of those Atlus games we Europeans have to wait for years for!
I spent 60 hours with this game that was fun, rewarding, and challenging without buying a single bit of the dlc. Don't let that laundry list turn you off because not a bit of it absolutely necessary to the experience.
Ah, the relentless DLC train just keeps on chugging.
I'm not sure about the paid DLC but hopefully will pick up all the free DLC.
@GoodGoshJosh is it the "Egg"?
@hieveryone can't say! 🙊
@GoodGoshJosh To be fair, the final part of SMT2 was also pretty brutal. Most Westerners aren't used to that kind of gauntlet, while the Japanese are quite used to it by now.
@GoodGoshJosh So it's not because I'm in that part right now you know the super red place
At least, this time we can get our hand literally on the game! (still annoyed to have "Part1" as paid downloaded files and" Part 2" as a card)
