If they've fixed nothing about the online store or how the game runs as a whole, I couldn't care less if the polar bear spawn egg looks slightly different.

@PinderSchloss I wouldn't say the combat is what grips me about this game. If you're looking for that alone, I'd pass on the game. For me it's more about the atmosphere, exploration, already enjoying the anime, with combat/crafting/equip progression as supporting factors.

Added this to my wishlist when I saw it. Looks pretty sharp and unique!

Kind of insulting to put collections like Capcom Fighters and Ninja Turtles alongside Sonic Origins in the thumbnail. One of these games is not like the others.

So they're talking up a "super game" that will offer further return through a community they expect to form around it? Why does that just sound like a recipe for disaster to me? All of this just feels like pandering to investors. I'm pretty sure this won't deliver.

She's a 10, but she makes fun of single-player games only to announce developing one in partnership with Marvel.

@Ratmasterd21 This is a pretty reductive outlook on games. Just because games contain narrative doesn't mean a game cannot be a story. It's not a mutually exclusive definition.

I think you're conflating story with like....written literature or a script or plot or something. By that understanding of course games aren't stories haha.

All I want to know is if the Sonic DLC still plays horribly.

I seem to recall someone working on Splatoon 2 making the argument of essentially "we know how to better design a game than the consumer, that's why we don't make salmon run available 24/7" so seeing them walk back on that is kind of hilarious.

By the sound of it I agree with these sentiments. It's a nice package, but omissions, errors, and inaccuracies make this bundle not worth 45 dollars.

@BartoxTharglod Diabolically based comment. I played SA2 to the end of the Last Story and while the Sonic/Shadow stages are the best parts of this game, and the ending is ***** awesome, it is certainly not better than some of the games earlier in the list.

I went from despising Sonic CD's gameplay and loving everything else about it to loving EVERYTHING once I shifted my perspective on how to approach it's levels. While I ultimately think 2/3K have better level design, once I accepted the fact that CD's level design is more akin to playgrounds than race courses, I couldn't put the game down.

How do the "new" tracks sound worse than the prototypes?

The TMNT×Wutang crossover YouTube vid for Da Mystery of Chessboxin' is one of the greatest videos on that entire website, so this is just about the greatest game news I've heard all year.

@Jayenkai Dude absolutely. I have so many of these games that consistently surprise me at how fun they are. This is one I've been waiting for for a while, so now all I need is Dragon Breed and I have my dream games.

Are the Dread amiibo's permanent upgrades on top of the game's upgrades? So for example the Emmi would make the max Missile capacity 285 instead of 275?

Honestly a weekly Arcade Archives write-up is the kind of content I like to see here. I like to hear when these drop on the eshop, and I knew jack about this game before reading this.

@KingMike I wasn't aware Parish had spoken about this game. I just took a look at it on YouTube and it looks like a fun time. There are a lot of other games Hamster ported that are easy to write off, but very fun (just maybe not at 8 dollars) like Swimmer and Frisky Tom.

It'll come to Best Buy just like the Doom releases. Don't pick this up and wait for that.
