The fact that you have given an almost broken and completely unplayable game an 8 out of 10 tells more about you. Not to mention how you faked the footage of your video review.
Welcome to 2025, where you can become a proud owner of a free GBA emulator with a single rom of a 20+ years old game for just 25 bucks. Go ahead, throw your money at lazy, shameless, cash-grabbing companies, don't ever hold them accountable!
See, this is the proof we are living in the worst freak of times. Had this very same game been released in 2005 for Gamecube, it would have been given a 5.5 out of 10 and a comment like "Fans of retro might dig a good afternoon out of this, the rest shouldn't bother". But, since we are in 2020s, it's completely normal to give outstanding ratings to a recycled 30 year old graphics and game mechanics. Wait until we reach monochromatic games from 70s in a couple years for $29.99.
One day, and that day may never come for some, you will finally understand it is in your absolute interest for as many companies to get into handheld console market. Because, that means those companies will have to fight for your money, and try to one-up each-other in terms of higher quality and lower price. Having a monopoly on the market means Nintendo gets away with faulty analog sticks and exclusive premium title for 69.99 EUR that can never reach stable 30 FPS. But go on fanboying.
Everyone knows how to craft a handheld console. Hell, take any modern phone and put a telescopic controller on it and you have a handheld console. But the question is, where do you take it from there? Will it overheat? How long can the battery last? How many companies will develop quality games for it? I dislike Nintendo as much as the next guy, but one can't deny they are the kings of handheld consoles because they know how to craft and sell one.
Performance hasn't been improved even a bit, and that's all anyone needs to know about this update. A mediocre game with stable performance is a 6, a great game with performance issues is a 2.
I have them on mobile and all three games suffer from significant performance and draw distance issues on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. What is it like on Switch, is it any better?
It's ridiculous how Nintendo could earn at least another 200 bucks from me if they were willing to put their older games on a reasonable sale just once in a while, but since they insist on a full price all of the time, they won't get a dime. I have a Nintendo console and I haven't ever bought a single Nintendo game.
@roy130390 Eh, they were very popular back in the day here, in East Europe. I remember trying out the first game and quitting because you had to shoot a guy with about 10 rounds before he succumbed and that was as frustrating as it was unsatisfying. I've heard there were fan mods created in the meantime that improved the accuracy and damage of guns, also, it's said the developers polished the gameplay by the third game. I'm willing to give them a second chance now.
Polls like these should be banned, because not a single issue would have ever been addressed if it was up to the blind majority.
Remember how back in the day there was an overwhelming majority of people with "magic" Switches who didn't have a single issue with BOTW performance? Out of the box, the game had framerate hiccups, but not for them, they had some absolutely magic Switches where it ran buttery smooth without a single issue?
It's the same thing all over again. This update stops downloading from the eShop as soon as it goes into sleep mode, overheats the console and drains the battery.
The only Mario for me was the original three-colored pixel Super Mario Bros, which I played tirelessly on a fake NES console known as Terminator II back in 2000. The gamepads were of beyond awful quality, the console fried itself if you didn't give it a break every few hours, the plastic cartriges broke apart and we were often left with a bare motherboard, but that's all we had at the end of the 90s in a war-torn postcommunist East Europe and we loved it beyond reason. Over the years I tried a few of the modern Marios but none ever clicked, they were either too easy or too boring.
@Maubari Hey, thanks for the heads-up, had absolutely no idea! Felghana is apparently coming to Switch as a remaster in early 2025. That settles it, I'm just skipping Nordics for now.
The first Ys I've ever played was Oath in Felghana back on PSP, and I loved it to death. Everything was awesome, the story, atmosphere, soundtrack, platforming and combat, it was even fully voice acted! I've watched gameplays and reviews of every single Ys game since then and never felt like buying any. They are just different. Who knows...

Re: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Has Sold 10 Million Copies Since Launch
I despise Nintendo as much as the next guy, but at least their insanely overpriced kart game loads races gracefully.

Re: Registration For The 'Nintendo Switch 2 Experience' Begins Soon
Disgrace. I see no Batulovce here.
Re: Switch 2 Will Be Backwards Compatible With Physical And Digital 'Switch 1' Games
It says "Games and systems sold separately" down there.
Is there still a catch, having to buy the digital game again in order to play it on Switch 2?
