I can tell you this, people at my work that aren't even gamers know what the Switch is. That's a good thing especially when I would talk to my friends that are gamers and they would ask me, "What's a Wii-U?"

SWITCH is off to a great start.

Maybe people can't take care of their stuff and this is why you can't have nice things. I've had my 3DS since launch and it doesn't have a single scratch. I've docked my switch about a couple dozen times now just to see how cool it is to "Switch" back and forth from tv to handheld and not one scratch.
I don't put screen protectors on my phone either I just clip my claws short and don't put it in the same pocket as keys and change and you should be good.

Cmon now what gives? Sometimes I think people blow things out of proportion. But meh. Maybe I'm just lucky? I dunno.

Just not digging the art style. Same goes for that new indie plane shooter and fighter game. The art style is what killed it for me for all three.

I hope they improve on themes and add even more thematic integration into the UI. Imagine changing the text to "Mario Font". That would be cool.
Or a sonic theme where you hear different songs from Sonic 2 depending if you're on at the home menu on on the settings screen. Instead of just one theme song like 3DS currently has.

Something is being dropped as far as communication. Nintendo says third party will be there but I'm just reading Nintendo news site and getting bad news after bad news of this game isn't coming to SWITCH. That game isn't coming to SWITCH. It's Wii U all over again? Don't make me regret preordering one already.

Maybe I should save myself the disappointment. I can't go through another generation with so few games like I did with Wii U. I had to pick up a whole new hobby. I learned a skill toy, yo-yo. Or "throwing" as they call it now a days. I'm glad I did but still. I miss video games.

You're making the Switch sound more like the Wii. I would never bring up party games or just dance. Anything but those games. Unless it's Mario Party or Rabbids then I get it. But this sounds horrible. So does just dance I don't know why it's so popular.

The app gives you anonymity. Sometimes you game with people online but maybe you don't want to give your personal info to them. Maybe you only know them from gaming. Or maybe .....

What worries me is that they pushed Zelda back more than a year and didn't release anything for Wii U in 2 yrs and all their focus was on SWITCH and they only release with a 5 games. 2 of which they didn't create. Sky landers and just dance. So sad.

I've dabbled quite a bit in the eShop for Wii U and 3DS but I stopped a couple years ago simply because I wasn't sure if it would carry over to whatever their next console is.
Well, here it is... can we carry over?
I would've bought so many more VC games if I was assured they'd carry over.

@Rhydas thanks! That's what I understood "local multiplayer" to mean. From the original trailer reveal it looked like they were all sitting around and connected and playing each other. This is going to be amazing!!!!!! Love it! I can play a friend at work while on our lunch break. So cool.
I'm really excited for Switch! I too wish they had more games but at the same time. I'm not rich. I couldn't buy them all at once with the console. So a steady stream will be fine with me. Just as long as it's steady and there's good variety. No more 8 month droughts like with Wii U. That was brutal.

If I have Splatoon 2 on my Switch and another person has Splatoon 2 on Switch and they're at the Park (no Wifi) (no cell phone) can we play against each other local device connectivity?
Or do we need pay for service thru cell phones to connect? What about cell data? ????

So it hot spot through our cell phones? What if your cellular provider doesn't offer unlimited data?

I'm so disappointed. There were no confirmed games for launch. What's the point of buying? And what the hell have they been doing for 2 years? Because they haven't been releasing Wii U games I'll tell you that.

I hope they don't throw a everything out there like they did with Wii U because a lot of those games never game. SmtXfe, Brothers, Project:CARS etc... I'm still bitter from that sizzle reel from the Feb 2013 Nintendo Direct.
I hope they concentrate on release games and releasing that year for sure.
