@FragRed I agree with you. They most likely will try to make 5yrs out of it and should but.....one could argue it possibly could be shorter. After all Wii U is quite possibly their most struggling console to date.

I'll tell you this I could care less about this quality of life B.S. Just make games.
I hope it's not a third separate console because how can nintendo support three all by themselves if they can't support 2 or at least are having a difficult time doing it. Especially without third party support. Don't get me wrong they're doing amazing on their own all things considered. And I doubt the other two could do what nintendo does alone. But let's be real. This next console will replace one or the other or both wii u and 3DS. I'm excited. These are exciting times. Real changes. This is big guys. I feel a shift coming. A big change. I can smell it in the air. I can feel it in the ground. A new era is approaching. A storm a brewin. Mmmmmhmmm. And I got thirst for somebody's milk shake.

@mowerdude I agree. I think it was completely stupid to have Wii mote nunchuck classic controller pro GameCube controller Gamepad and pro controller all as options of playing a game. Cmon! That's ridiculous. I like how nintendo is innovative with introducing a new style of playing but then again. What's great about PlayStation is their controller has more or less been practically the same since the first PlayStation. People like iphone and android because the controls are essentially the same as the gen before. People are accustomed to it. It's familiar. And familiar is good.

Back in the day they made a lot of Super Nintendo Ports for the GameBoy advance. I'm sure it would be easy to release Super Nintendo games on the 3DS eShop. But they don't cuz they need an enticing reason to get a Wii u. If they put Snes games on 3DS it would rock!

How is Killer Instinct? Do you like it? Is it still exclusive to XBox? I'm thinking of getting either a PS4 or XboxOne to help me through my wii u droughts. And vice versa. Which would you recommend? Or are they virtually the same? I Love fighting games and racing. I might just be forced to go the PS4 route since most of my friends have it and love it and it would be nice to chat and game with them. They say you can voice chat with your friends even if you're all playing different games. That's awesome.

I have 5 friends that game. 4 of them just got PlayStation 4 within the past 4 months and one of them got an X-Box One. I'm the only one with a Wii U and I told my friends about the Wii U saying it was pretty good but they all had never heard of it. They all asked what is it? They say things like, oh yeah I saw that at GameStop but yeah... It looks kinda weird.
I don't like the controller. They don't even know about the Pro Controller.

I watch YouTube and see PS4 and XBox1 commercials and billboards all day every day. I never see Wii U commercials or adds. Why is that?

@Boerewors to be honest though. I've owned a Wii U since Feb 2013. The last game I felt compelled to buy was Mario Kart 8. The graphics are amazing. The reply "slow-mo" feature is jaw dropping stunning and the game is fun to play.
But so far I'm a little underwhelmed and disappointed with my Wii U. Mainly because it has no third party support. I'm a huge lover of Classic style fighting games. So injustice for Wii U is one of my favorites. I'm so disappointed that Mortal Kombat X and Street Fighter 5 won't be coming to Wii U. I dont want to have to buy a PS4.
I love platformers a lot too and Mario 3D World in my opinion sucked. It sucked compared to Mario 64 and Galaxy. It was trying to hard to please everyone instead of just being a badass platformers. It was too easy. Mario moves so slow. I liked it better when he was fatter and faster. I was excited for Captain Toad treasure tracker but I flew through that game so fast it made my head spin.

Nintendo is sucking right now. i love Majoras Mask on 3DS but it's sad that I'm reminded how much better their classics are than they're most recent stuff. All their recent stuff is overly cute and bright for the sake of being child friendly instead of just being itself and being cool.

They better step it up for Zelda Wii U. If Zelda Wii U isn't as good or better than Twilight and skyward than ill sell this system.

I love my 3DS it's amazing how many games i have downloaded and on carts. But I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I turned my Wii U on.
I guess back when Mario Kart 8 released? it feels like forever. It just sits there collecting dust. I almost want to buy a PS4 just to play Mortal Kombat X because Wii U has NO Games! I don't care what anyone says.. their library for Wii U sucks. it sucks real hard.

I'm starting to really dislike NOA's decisions lately. I wish they'd bring more Japanese games over like Attack on titans for 3DS or the new DragonBall fighting game on 3DS or even that wii u game Fatal Frame.
Why do we only get just dance and The Voice, Mario Party 1 millionth. Are people really buying this crap? I guess so..

@Wolfgabe the 3DS has been discontinued in NA. So there is only 2DS, 3DSXL, and New 3Ds XL. I suspect the old 3 DS to be discontinued as well soon. So there really is no confusion. I think they just assumed wrong in thinking nobody will buy into the faceplates. Or people won't want special edition xls if they have face plates. I dunno.
I like the faceplates. I like the white color option. If they made XL white with faceplates I'd buy one. Because just having a little bit faster processor and a nub isn't enough to make me want to buy one. It's not a true successor to 3DS.

I like that they added a customization element to the system. I think it's a big selling point incentive.
As well as the new wallpaper options. Though a bit pricey.

I was wondering if this game was still being developed.

I have a dream. That one day Nintendo will release a handheld that streams to the tv via Roku-esque device. I have a dream that all games will be portable and playable streaming to your tv. I have a dream these games will be HD. I have a dream that FPS will come to the handheld a long with more 3rd party support.

@WaveyChristmas if you turn power saver off it becomes brighter than any setting. This is what is probably happening when you plug your 3DS in to charge.

I just wanna see some new young people in there with some fresh idea. I really wanna see nintendo release a console that isn't necessarily the most powerful of all but on par with everyone else so they can convince 3rd party devs to make games for the next home console. Also work in their relationship with 3rdPDevs.
I'm excited and have a feeling their next console will be a fusion but I suspect it will run on the lowest grade hardware as possible and once again alienate outside devs from making games on their console.

The acoustic version of hyrule main field in A link between worlds is the best!!! I was bummed when it was only played once in the intro of the game. I want that track!

Wow. That guy must be rich. You know he paid a lot of money for a lot of that stuff. I say dream about collecting boxed versions of some of my fav N64 and Snes games but don't because the prices on eBay are ridiculous!

Nintendo loves making money on peripherals. I wonder when people will finally say enough is enough. I sure won't buy any more. It's a cluttered mess.

That's the one thing Sony got right. They keep their controller basically the same every console. Slight ergonomic improvement and maybe an added feature but the design is familiar. Nintendo gives too many options. It's cool to have options but too much can be confusing and frustrating.

For me it has to be Link's Awakening DX. It was the first Legend of Zelda game I ever played and it remains my favorite to this day. also Capcom did an amazing job with all the zelda's they did. as far as 3D zelda goes its a toss up between Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.

@NodesforNoids nintendo has never had too many games to buy all at once. Project cars has no competition there are no racing sim on wii u. Those games listed wont come out one after another. Nintendo sprinkles games every couple months apart. Look at 2012_2013

what ever happened to fake "?" boxes?! Coin and single bananas are way too common. I hardly ever get multiple blue shells. I don't like the items anymore.

wow that 3DS screen shot looks like crap. This game should be fun. I was always wondering why we saw the back of their heads. glad they put in extra effort.
