Re: Microsoft To Announce Sequel To "Historic" Rare Franchise At E3

Funny_Moblin

@Ricube What do you mean...do you not know Donkey Kong Racing? It's gonna be on the Gamecube. They made a trailer if you wanna search it up. I already played Diddy Kong Racing on the N64, it was amazing.

So excited for Rare's next Star Fox game!!!
I think that now, with the recent release of the Gamecube, there's a lot of potential for Rare to develop amazing games for the Gamecube. Maybe Banjo-Kazooie 3?

@Zodiak13 Thanks for the response. Yes, I think I'll get physical copies, you're right. They are the most secure. Even if it's a Nintendo title you never know. Not because Nintendo would shut down their games, but because they have a pretty weak base in the online structure. Thus, hackers could potentially harm eShop titles. There has of course been a hack in the online system recently.

As much as I'd love to have digital games all in one place, I'll be sticking with physical copies. I'll wait a couple of years and see how and if Nintendo will change this online structure. If a day comes across when Nintendo lets consumers fully own a game, with it being tied to an account, then I may call up a friend called the Transfer Tool...and see if it's worth paying $40 again.

Re: Feature: 3DS - A Report Card Ahead of Its Biggest Year

@Zodiak13 Maybe he's right! It's believable. But this isn't my biggest problem. For some months now, I have been battling with whether to get digital or physical copies. The thing about digital that bothers me the most is that after 5 3DS system transfers, you cant transfer games anymore if it gets broken. Some people say that Nintendo has transferred their data using proof of Club Nintendo. But it's weird, their policy is that if your system breaks, they can't transfer the games. Great. Not only am I uncertain if they transfer your games or not when a system breaks, but I still can't decide between physical and digital!!! I CAN'T DECIDE. THESE THOUGHT ARE PAINFUL. IT FEELS LIEK I WILL NEVER DECIDE. I wanna keep my gaes forever, you see? And when I can't trust the eShop.....but I need convenience of having all my games in one place!!!! But-I like cover art--nah I'll choose convenience. I'd choose digital if it weren't for the risk of Nintendo not transferring your games over--but even of they do transfer them over--you lose the save data. Oh, what do I do....what do i do.....

There are only two things keeping me back from considering to buy 3DS games digitally.

1. The games are not tied to your account. If something happens to your 3DS, you lose the games.

2. With the eShop, it's online. If a company decides to shut down the game, it shuts down for you.

Re: Video: Rayman Legends Footage Gets Sneaky in its Ocean World

So...we get the worst out of the three skins. 360 gets Splinter Cell skin for Rayman...PS3 gets Edward Kenway sin...and we get a skin from a Vita AC game....plus, she looks too similar to Undead Barbara...it's actually like a mixture of both.

There are many more possibilities for a better Wii U skin. I mean, imagine getting a Rayman skin disguised as a Rabbid.

I grew up with Diamond/ Pearl. I was finishing grade 6 when it just came out...

I have very fond memories of Pokemon Pearl, just watching my bro play it, he introduced me to the series. It was his game. sometimes he'd quit, and let me make a file. Then he'd regret it and say he wanted the game back. It became a little pattern. We kinda fought about it. It was pretty funny, though. He loved Pokemon. He knew almost every Pokemon, and was an expert on moves Pokemon use, what they're effective to, etc. While I got Pokemon Black a few years later, the last Pokemon game he got was White.

That was the last one. Then my little bro changed. He became obnoxious many times, pretty disrespectful too. When I told him I wanted to get Black 2, he kinda laughed and said it was for little kids.

My bro used to be the only person in the family with whom I could share my Pokemon experiences with. Now I have nobody to share my experiences with. Now I just play Black 2 alone while he's just watching hockey.

The one Pokemon poster he had on his wall showing all the Pokemon for gen IV is now taken down...

How sad that change is sometimes bad...at least in my opinion...

Re: More Pokémon X & Y Details Expected in the Coming Week

Funny_Moblin

@FOURSIDE_BOY Thanks for the response. I don't think excluding Black/ White 1 from being transferred to X and Y would be Game Freak being stupid, but actually smart for them on the contrary. Why? Because if they do that, they will force people who don't have Black/ White 2 to buy it. They know how to lure consumers. In fact, the sole reason I'm getting Black 2 is because I want the free Deoxys before the end of May.

@GooRoo

Oh...no...fingers crossed...so earlier in the day, I started downloading the game, but shortly realized I had to go, so I cancelled it and left. When I came back recently, I began downloading it again...it's still downloading but no survey yet...

I think I made a stupid mistake. I don't get games very often, and I was hoping this would be the game that knocks my status up to gold.

I think I made a very stupid mistake.

Re: Talking Point: The Arrival of eShop Download Codes in Stores is a Smart Move

@hcfwesker Ah, that makes sense. I did get the Wii around the time it came out. But now that the Wii U is out and Mario Kart and Smash Bros. will eventually come to Wii U, my worries switch to the Wii U.

The Wii is old, it's already last gen. I'm not paying to replace lens if I could. Now I worry and hope that the Wii U has replaceable lens readers/ disc drive.

Also, if a disc does wear out, I know I can always buy a new one. But I worry that in the future, if digital age takes over, it will be rare to find a physical game and I won't be able to continue my save data...but then again, if digital is the only choice, Nintendo may as well make a Wii U physical to digital transfer tool like they did for the 3DS.

Re: Talking Point: The Arrival of eShop Download Codes in Stores is a Smart Move

Funny_Moblin

@GiftedGimp Yeah, it's so weird! All my other Wii games work perfectly! If it does help with any explanation, my Wii fell on the floor quite a few times. (I am very careful with what I own as you have heard from my discs, but the Wii always have Gamecube controllers attached to it, so my sibling run into the cables so yeah...)

If I'd have to go with the most logical thing you've said, I suppose i'll go with the disc drive being sensitive to certain discs. It could be a possible reason.

Re: Talking Point: The Arrival of eShop Download Codes in Stores is a Smart Move

Funny_Moblin

@GiftedGimp Thanks for the info.

Wha's interesing though, is that I've had Super Smash Bros. Brawl since 2008, and I treated the disc like gold. To this day, there is not a single scratch. But for some reason, since 2012 I've been having problems where the Wii ca't read it. I usually put the disc in and out like 20 times constantly, and then it reads it.

I don't know why it happens. Ever since that happened, and not sure why, I've been considering digital retailer downloads.

But still, I don't feel comfortable about it, so I'm still buying all my games physical. Who knows what could happen with a hard drive, and the eShop is in control of the downloadable games.
