@HappyHappyist You are saying that this is a problem that isn't hard to fix. Yeah, I suppose you would be right...IF this was a problem. But what if I told you that this is probably intentional. I believe that not being able to pick up the trap was purposely implemented in order to have people think and plan things out with good timing.
After all, this is a hardcore game that is heavily influenced on strategy. Your desire to have traps picked back up is just taking away from part of what makes this game a unique action/ strategy game.
I love Monster Hunter (even though I have no real life friends that play this with me), and I know the main focus is the terrific gameplay. From game to game, there are some changes here and there, but not as big as the gameplay itself. For the next Wii U Monster Hunter game, I want Capcom to make another big change and make the best graphics they can make. NO PORTS. It will make a huge difference.
This is just great...like Nintendo couldn't get any more casual. When I was 8, I had a Gamecube with Super Mario Sunshine...it was tough, but I learned by exploring and trying over and over again. Kids don't need these little gimmicks...neither do adults, unless they want to be kids...who like gimmicks.
@rjejr I'm talking about a talking point about 3D vs. HD Dragoon. First of all, what's there to talk about? One is, HD, and the other one is 3D. They both have their obvious pros and cons. Secondly, why would there be a talking point on one item...if there's going to be a talking point on 3D vs. HD, it might as well be about the whole game.
@JaxonH Great arguments as always, Jaxon. When you stated that one of the bad multi-platform games for Gamecube was the Simpsons, did you refer to Simpsons Hit and Run? Because I personally really enjoyed that game. It was part of my childhood. I really don't mind if you didn't like it. To me, it really depends on the age you play a game.
I'm actually going to post a comment I made back in June towards a guy who dislikes the Smash Bros. series. It's the best example I can think of.
His comment: "I can totally understand his frustration as it relates to Smash Bros. To me, that series is a mess. Any serious game designer is an artist in my mind...Therefore, a series like Smash does just that to his art: smashes and mashes it into a jumbled mess. I do not enjoy the series for the same reason I wouldn't enjoy seeing a movie installment where the Avengers defended the Shire in Middle Earth and ate falafels with the Ninja Turtles at the end. It's a mess and fans don't view what he does as his personal art contribution. There are heart strings attached there, I'm sure."
My reply: "Everyone has different points of view, and I respect that. I understand there are people like you who simply do not enjoy the series. But bare in mind that these fans have nostalgic memories of when they played either the original Smash Bros. or Melee. The Gamecube has been my first game console I ever owned when I was 9 years old, with Super Smash Bros. Melee being my first game. Maybe you wouldn't have the same point of view as we do, simply because you probably didn't grow up with the series. I personally didn't find anything very interesting about Super Mario 64. Why? Because I never played it during my childhood, already having been used to 3D games because I stepped into console gaming in 2002, when the Gamecube just came out. So please be aware of the great memories the Super Smash Bros. series has brought into our childhood."
@JaxonH Yeah, no hands is the main problem, but also, I wouldn't like to have Mario Kart filled with generic Mario enemies. Characters such as Koopa and Dry Bones are exceptions. I don't know, thinking about them in Mario Kart doesn't give me a very good feeling in my stomach.
By the way, I replied to the Wind Waker HD comment you gave me in the other article. Just wanna say I'm a hardcore gamer, and I didn't like the easy switch between normal and hard because I wanted to choose hard mode locked. Sorry if you already read it, but I don't want hard core gamers thinking I'm a casual gamer.
@JaxonH Haha, about WW HD, it's exactly the opposite. I want hard mode to be locked because I want to play only on hard, and I don't like to see easy mode available for me. I also wouldn't mind playing easy mode in order to unlock hard mode. I just wanted a fixed hard mode. So I guess that's a no to that, but I suppose it would be stupid to put the game off because of that reason.
I'm not too sure about NSMB U because I found SUper Luigi U sort of dull (got it at retail), but I'm thinking the actual game will be funner.
I already have Pikmin 3, one of the best games I've ever played.
@JaxonH What do you think about WW HD even if I already played it on the Gamecube? I'm deciding between that and NSMB U. For WW HD, I just don't really like how you switch between easy and hard mode. I'd rather prefer the mode you choose to be locked.
The last Kirby game I liked and played was Superstar Ultra. Although the main game was easy, it was challenging to get all the treasure. Sometimes there were traps that would lock away the treasure, or not make it visible for the entire level.
Is it at least challenging to collect treasures or key chains in this game?
So many of these comments just make me face palm. People wanting the year to fly to 2015 or 2016? Bros, enjoy life while you have it. You don't have 200 years to live. Sexual attraction to a video game? Even as a joke it is just sad. Coming home, doing homework, and then hunt for the rest of the day...for over a month now? Spare the time for other things too. Chill with family and friends too.
I don't know. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I am just changing both as a gamer and a person, with the people that surround me too.
@cusman Yeah, but people like to see it alongside their friends at the same time. Another example is this website. It's much more exciting when you post and read comments and reactions from people who are sharing their thoughts and experience as you at the same time.
I love Sonic and All-Star racing much more than Mario Kart Wii, and I know next to nothing about Sega besides Sonic. I understand this needs to be family friendly, though. I hope at least they give people that same natural feeling while driving.
@Melkac
1. You changed the topic. We were talking about unrealistic moves for Smash Bros. characters, and now you talk about sexualizing Zero Suit Samus.
2. "you can't deny they're sexualizing her for the sake of it." Yeah. Actually, I can deny it. Isn't it obvious? ...Sexualizing her means more attention from teenage and adult males will be given to the game, possibly increasing the chances that they buy it. Have you even been living in today's world? The media does it all the time.
You can't argue against these points. I take it that you can't see the obvious. First trying to make an argument about why she fights with high heels, and even though you changed the topic, you still couldn't see why they are sexualizing her...oh boy...
Sorry if I came off a little rude, I'm just trying to prove a point.
@BulbasaurRex Yeah, but if Sheik were a female...then why wouldn't he/she have actual boobs? And the butt isn't that big...Nintendo is probably showing that Sheik is a male, with little hints of a female side there. Even though Samus was already a female obviously, they made her (with the suit) look more feminine, with the hips and other details. Maybe they are doing a similar thing with Sheik.
@Yosher Nice! Supporting Yoshi no matter what. I think Smash Bros. was originally created, having people play their favourite Nintendo characters in mind. It became a thing about who is one of the best in Smash, instead of being what character somebody truly likes from a franchise.
About Yarn Yoshi, hmmm...I don't know. I really like the art style, but I think the game will be easy, just like Kirby's Epic Yarn.
@Yosher Just wondering, what's the trigger that caused you to love Yoshi? To BE Yoshi. What caused you to say "YOSSEH' ...YOU MA PAL....FO' LYFE!" Even though I don't really like his most recent games, I've liked playing as him in Melee and Brawl. I feel like he is a little over-looked. I do wonder, however, if they will reveal any new moves for him at E3.
I know this might be a dumb question, and I already saw the screenshots. But just in case, is it confirmed that Zero Suit Samus' whip will return? Will it be any different if so?
@Melkac How can Pikachu bring thunder down, I mean, it's impossible. Go to a fight, and try to damage your opponent by making lightning fall on you. It's ridiculous!
@BakaKnight 1. You don't have to read Sakurai's mind...he already stated that he chose to separate characters, simply so that a person could focus on one moveset throughout the whole match. It's not that hard.
2. No. No more Pokemon, thank you very much. We have more than enough with Jiggly puff. Ces't fini. We're DONE with playable Pokemon.
@Mew2king Hey!! Wow, it's you! Thanks for the reply, and great interview. At least your Smash Bros. skills and fame weigh more than hair loss. Keep it up!
@Unca_Lz Ah, ok, thanks. But does it have to do with stress? (In his case, he was probably frustrated basically his whole life with intense Smash Bros. tournaments). Or is it just genetics?
@KamenRiderClive I feel ya, I have a friend who is like that. Even though I like both types of gameplay, removing any competitive play will just make our friends won't work. My friend always want to play Melee anyway.
@sinconlol Yeah, lol. It would overflow with Pokemon between the playable character and all the Pokeballs--foof! I think you're right about the gameplay. Even though I want it to be as close to Melee as possible, I appreciate him trying to balance it out. I just wish he would gives the option to play completely like Melee, or completely like Brawl. But I can't really jugde, I guess I will need to play it to truly see how it turns out.

Meh, Dragoon and Smash Balls are fun to use, but it's kind of cheap and makes the match shorter.
